Elara sat cross-legged on the floor of her new apartment, surrounded by cardboard boxes that still needed unpacking. She had been so busy these past few days moving in, rehearsing, flirting with Amara. Her grin grew as she thought about Amara. The poor girl didn't stand a chance. Elara had been laying it on thick, and it was only a matter of time before Amara's walls crumbled entirely.
"Any day now," she muttered to herself, standing up and stretching before walking over to her nightstand. She had just finished unpacking, but there was one item left to place a framed photo.
The picture she'd taken of her and Amara after the audition. The one where she had kissed Amara's cheek without warning, catching the woman off-guard. Amara's stunned face, the slight blush on her cheeks it was perfect. A beautiful combination of awkwardness and surprise. She placed it on her nightstand, making sure it was in full view from anywhere in the room.
