Tom Marks, the newly promoted Detective had to relocate due to his promotion. He is not only an upstanding member of the Police department, but he is also the youngest Police officer to make Detective. Upon his arrival, he notices that the law that he swears to uphold isn't always as black and white in L.A. He finds that there are two types of law, one for the criminals, and one for the rich and famous. Detective Tom Marks soon has to start bending to their rules to accommodate the criminals that he swears to put behind bars to keep his job. After an encounter with the local district attorney, Madison McKenna, he does not feel so alone anymore in his quest to uphold the law and put criminals behind bars, keeping them there for as long as they possibly can. Together they seem to be able to face anything. But Detective Marks is soon faced with a new type of evil, something he has never dealt with before, his very own demons that lead him down a path of no return. Will Madison be able to bring him back? Will performing his duties cost him everything, will he survive. Will he find love in it all?

Here is what happened last time on Licensed to Kill

Madison takes my hand and leads me out of the restaurant. She keeps on saying that we are late. I do not know what for as Madison doesn't want to tell me. When she finally stops in front of two doors, she asks me if I would marry her. I say yes, and we walk into the hall and get married. Marcus, the marriage officiant, hands us our marriage certificate that proves that we got married. 

Marcus says;

"Let my photographer take a few photos for the two of you. She will also send you the video as well."

Everybody wants to be in the photos with Madison and me. After a few minutes of taking our pictures, Marcus tells us;

"It was good to have met you two, and all the best for your marriage."

I ask him;

"Are you leaving already?"

"Unfortunately, I have to. I am late for my next appointment."

We thank him, and he walks out of the hall. I look at Madison and ask her;
