It was Thursday. The sun was nowhere to be seen today. Winter was approaching, and the weather was inevitably, little chilly. It was a little hazy and it looked like the sky will soon start to drizzle.
The streets seemed very bleak and the streetlights on both sides seemed a little dimmer. Aizhe looked at the blue letter on her hands. It was the same letter that night. The address and number on the far corner was clearly noticeable. She looked out of the vehicles windows and she could see the gates of the beautiful and luxurious house.
"Brother, you can stop here." She got out of the taxi and paid him. She looked at the huge mansion sitting on the middle.
One could clearly see that it was not a random and ordinary place. There were lots of people getting in and out. Their clothes and accessories were glimmering and beaming with a glorious aura.
She smiled and looked down at her wet clothes. "It is okay Aizhe, remember what grandfather said - 'expensive clothings are poor mans attempt to appear expensive'." she tried to comfort herself.
She walked ahead and looked at the house more upclose. The more she looked the more her eyes glowed. It was beautiful. She went towards the main gate. The two security guys looked at her wet shirt dress. He brown hair looked messy. Her skin looked pale and water was dripping from her hair till her face. She didn't look like anyone who belonged here. They looked at her with a disdainful look;
"You are blocking the way, move back!" The security guy howled and pushed her away. Aizhe fell down with a thump and she shrieked. Her left hand was in a pain. Blood started gushing from there and she had to control the pain that was forming on her left hand. She examined the building and she finally fixed her eyes at the two security guy. A light shoned through her hazel eyes. She stood up, ignoring the pain and went to them again.
"I need to talk to Mr. Li!" She spoke out;
"It is quite important. If you don't take me to him today, you will be in a disadvantage for the rest of your life. Think about it!" She looked serious.
The two security guys looked at Li Aizhe, and their eyes widened for a brief second. They looked at her beautiful, hazy eyes that were shining with chilly and dark light. She had an intimidating vibe. Her cold gaze was too frightening. They contemplated for a while before they phoned someone.
After a while, a middle aged man appeared. He was wearing an all white tailored suit. He had a beautiful, well structured features. He walked ahead to the security guy and with one look, they all started to explain.
He looked at Li Aizhe and noticed her wet shirt dress. Her face looked too pale and her hair was damped. The weather was also getting too cold.
"I am Qi Qenq, Mr. Li's personal assistant. Mr. Li is upstairs in his room. Why dont you come in? Such a beautiful girl shouldn't be staying outside for so long." Qi Qenq replied in a cautious, yet gentle voice.
Li Aizhe looked at Qi Qenq. His eyes were fierce and dim. He seemed to know her, but was reluctant and aware of the place and time. Even tho, he looked tough and aloof, he was quite gentle and polite. She scanned him for a while and decided to just go along.
She walked and soon entered the huge house.
Upon arriving she witnessed the two huge pillars that were standing on the two side of the room.
There was a huge chandelier resting on top of the living room. Lots of sculptures and arts were displayed on the walls. It was huge and beautiful.
Many people were gathered and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Qi Qeng sensed her curious qaze. "It is Little miss's birthday banquet today.."
Aizhe looked at him and nodded. She was elated by the news, and looked at her surrounding happily.
They soon reached the second floor and Qi Qenq looked down at her left hand that has been bleeding non-stop since they left the security gate. He went to the drawer next to the door and took out a first aid kit. He cleaned her injury and wrapped a gauze on her left hand. He then spoke out;
"Mr. Li is inside. You can go ahead and talk, I will be waiting outside." He replied indifferently and backed away.
Aizhe looked at him and then at her hands. She smiled before she looked at the huge wooden door infront of her. She hold tightly on the paper in her hands. She looked down and sighed deeply.
'She was going to fulfill her grandfathers last wish.'
