Chapter 10

I woke up seeing Krios sleeping beside me with his left hand warped around my waist. I brush off a few strands of his hair that's covering his mask. Yesterday, when I was sitting on the garden, I saw Krios running towards me and when he got near, he immediately hugged me. I was confused why he hugged me but he immediately said; "I'm so sorry! I didn't know that this would happen, if only I was here beside you." I don't know what is he talking about and when I was about to asked him about it, he immediately cut me off by saying, "It's fine, there's no need to explain what happened."

That's when I realized what is going on, Krios thought that I might be having a hard time because of what happened. Well, Krios only knew the real Liliana, not the new Liliana, so for him, the real Liliana can't go against her family and what I did was a bit shock for him. I just hugged him and tell him that I'm fine. After that, Krios didn't tried to pry in to what happened and why I did those actions, but rather, he just doted on me last night until we fell asleep. I kiss Krios's mask before I sit down and I do some stretching before standing up to get ready. Today is the day we would go to the Capital to visit Xino's school. There is this event where the parents would go to the Academy and visit their children and ask them if they are doing well and if there is some problem they are facing while being in the Academy. Also that will be also the time where the parents will look if there is something they don't like. I ask Elen to help me prepare in the other room because I don't want to disturbs Krios sleep.

"Is this alright My Lady?", Elen ask and when I look at the mirror, a smile form immediately. I stand up and do a swirl in front of the mirror like a little kid. I walk out of the room when I feel I'm contented from what I have seen. I walk towards our room and there, I saw Krios struggling with putting the cufflinks. I laugh softly by what I saw and then he looks back at me. I walk towards him and help him put the cufflinks at each cuff of his long-sleeved polo. After helping him prepare, I blush when I saw him all prepare. He looks so fine! He's wearing a simple white long-sleeved and he tuck it in in his black pants. He tops his long-sleeved polo with a black coat and he looks so majestic! For sure, my eyes turned into hearts right now. Krios extend his hand to me and I immediately take it. We walk towards outside hand by hand and I can saw some of our servants looking at our intertwined hands. When we have arrived outside, Krios help me to get inside of the carriage and after that, he also enters the carriage and sit in front of me. The same as usual, Krios took out a scroll and tear it into two pieces and a sudden light came out from it.

When I open my eyes, we were already near the Capital. I feel nauseous a little bit, maybe this is what they called motion sickness? But it's not due to the movement of the vehicle but due to magic. Krio pats my back and ask me, "Hey, are you okay? Do you want to have a quick stop?", I sway my head to show that there is no need to do that and beside, I'll be fine after a few minutes. I ask Krios to open the window of the carriage so that I can breathe some fresh air. It would take about ten to fifteen minutes of ride before we arrive at the capital. There's a rule where we can't just teleport directly into the capital because it might cause an accident and I also don't want that to happen. While we are travelling, Krios and I talk a lot. We talk about his job, about the Dukedom's situation, about Xino's studies in the Academy and other things too. This feel like we have really gotten close to each other and that makes me happy.

When we have arrived at the entrance gate of the capital, four guards stop our carriage. I was shocked when they stop our carriage, like can't they see the crest of our Dukedom on our carriage. One of the four knock on the carriage's window and it was on my side. I was about to open the window when Krios stop me and pull me over to his side. He glares at the guard and look back at me, his expressions immediately change. He kisses my forehead before stepping outside of the carriage. I saw the guard shivering under Krios's glare. Well, who would not right? Krios is much taller than the average male adult and that makes him special. They both talk to each and while I stay inside the carriage. As they talk, someone open the door at my side and a guard pull me outside. I was about to scream when he said. "His highness is waiting for you, now it's the time to leave."

Wait, what?! Who's waiting who?! I tried to pull my hand back but his grips started getting to get much tighter. I can't stand this anymore and I shout, "Kyyyyaaahhh! Krios!! Help me!!!" and then the guard's grips become lose and I took that opportunity to ran towards Krios. Krios pushes aside the other guards and catch me between his arms. I can clearly see how his eyes flame with anger. I saw his left hand reaching his sword but I immediately stop him. He looks back at me and the anger in his eyes immediately disappears.

"Please don't do it Krios." I said with a trembling voice and I can feel my strength leaving my body. Before I collapse into the road, Krios caught me and carry me in a bridal style. I immediately snuggle up into his arms and I heard him saying, "I will let this pass today because my wife doesn't feel good but the next time I'm here on the capital and this happens again, I'll make sure your head will be separate from your body." After that, Krios walk back to the carriage and he didn't let me down and just let me sit on his lap. It took a few minutes before my breathing pattern go back to normal and during those time, Krios won't let me go.

"Krios, I'm fine now. You can let me go now." I said while smiling at him but rather than letting me go, his arms becomes much tighter and he buried his face on my neck. I heard him mumble something and before I can ask him what he was saying, he cut me off saying, "I don't know what to do if something bad happened to you today, I know Xino won't forgive me and I won't also forgive myself."

I can feel Krios tremble as he said such words. Even him, a big guy trembled by the thought of me being harmed by someone. I caress his back and kiss him on the head. I want to make him feel that I'm fine and nothing bad is going to happen to me so I said, "There is no need to feel scared Krios, I'm completely fine and being in your arms right now shows that there is nothing bad going to happen to me." I kiss his right cheek and smile sweetly at him.

When we arrive at the Academy, Krios and I compose ourselves before we step outside. I help Krios fix his hair and we are laughing while doing it. When we both are satisfied with our appearances, Krios step outside first before helping me steeping out from the carriage. As soon as we both go down from the carriage, people's eyes are on us. Of course, I, Liliana Loubutin, the most beautiful women in the Kingdom and Krios Eagleton, the strongest knight in the Kingdom. Both of us are perfect for each other, like as if we are made-match from heaven. We walk in hands to the entrance of the Academy and there, I saw Krios sitting and he looks so cute! He is wearing the Academy's uniform and he is even wearing a very cute beret! If only there is a camera on this world, I would buy it even if it cost a fortune! Because Xino's cuteness can be considered as a national treasure that should be protected!

"Xino!", I shout and as soon as he saw us, his face lights up and gave us the sweetest smile on the world. He immediately stands up and run towards us. As soon as he got near us, he gives us a big hug. "You both came!", Xino said while smiling. Ack! Wait, I feel like my heart fell into the floor, let me pick it up first. This cuteness is too for me to handle!

I pinch softly Xino's left cheek before saying, "Of course we will attend this event because we know that this event is very important to you." Xino's face immediately light up and he buried his face on between on mine and Krios body. Aw, he's being shy and it's cute. Xino hold mine and Krios hand as he guides us towards where the event is being held. We arrive at a theater like room and we sit in front. All students walk towards the back stage and that is when I realize that they are going to do a play! I wonder what's my cute Xino's role is? Maybe he's the cute and charming prince? Or the all mighty heroine? Well, whatever his roles are, I know he will do his best performing it!

The performance starts when the curtain roles up and there, I saw Xino wearing a knight costume with his sword made out of thick paper. He looks so cute! The story of the play is about a knight trying to rescue the princess from the hands of a bad villain, which is being played by their teacher. Their play went smoothly and Xino is doing his best to portray his role.

"I, the mightiest knight in the entire Kingdom, wishes to duel you! In exchange for the Princess!", I laugh softly at his line. What if he would really say those lines in the future? Ack, my heart is not ready for that! I look at Krios and I saw that he is also so focus on the play. I smile because I can clearly see how he adores Xino. Before the play ends, Xino's last line was, "You are the most kind and beautiful Princess in the entire world, let me please stay by your side." They girl portraying the Princess was about to kiss Xino's cheeks when he pushes her aside and said, "You can't kiss me, only My Lady can kiss me.", after Xino said those word, he walks out from the stage and the little girl was left alone on the stage and she starts to cry.

I don't know what to say or do but I heard Krios laughing beside me. I look at him and pinch his side to make him stop laughing. The curtains fall down and people clap their hands even though something embarrassing just happened. The teachers told us that we can go to the backstage now that the play is over. Krios help me go to the backstage and there, I saw Xino standing in front of the girl that acts as the princess. We walk towards them and I heard the little girl saying, "Why won't you let me kiss you?! Didn't you know that many people would love to kiss me but you just declined it! Am I not pretty enough for you?" The little girl asks Xino and I was shock when Xino replied, "You are not pretty, My Lady is much prettier than you, so give it up." Did just my cute Xino said those words? and before I can even react, I heard Krios laughing so hard.

Xino looks at our direction and immediately ran towards us. He hugs Krios and I and said, "Did I do well Uncle Krios and My Lady?" I hug back Xino and I saw the little girl looking at us. I want to make her feel better so I smile at her and wave my left hand at her. Her face blush and walks out. Wait, what just happened? I didn't put any attention to what that little girl did and look back at Xino. I saw that Krios is ruffling Xino hair and they just laugh together. This is a scene that I have been waiting to see. When I realized that I becomes Liliana, I want to correct all the bad things she has done. I call both of them and offer my both of my hands. They immediately took it and the three of us walk out from the theater room. When we arrive outside, many people swarm over us, saying how good Xino was with his acting and how curios they were about this "My Lady" Xino said. I blush when I remembered at what Xino said, gosh, this kid will become a women's target when he grew up. We were happily talking with them when the little girl who played as the princess walks towards us. When she was close to me, Xino block her by standing in front of me.

"What do you want? I already told you that I don't like you.", Xino said while glaring at her but she just scoffs off at Xino's remarks and looks at me. I awkwardly smile at her and she said, "Greetings My Lady, I am Sofia Rixton, it is my pleasure to meet you My Lady." She picks up both end of her dress and bow down. Of course, I don't want to be rude, I also pick up both end of my dress and bow down as I introduced myself.

"Greeting to you Lady Sofia, I am Liliana Eagleton, the Duchess of Eagleton Dukedom." Her eyes immediately light up, you know those type of eyes children do when they see something interesting. Xino and Lady Sofia keeps bickering at each other and Krios and I just stood their laughing at how cute they are.
