The Box
As they reach the room, Leo rested Amarié on the bed and tucked her in,
He was about to sleep when his phone lit up and a notification sounded, he get up and checked it,
It was the furniture and other stuff they ordered, it stated that the orders will come tomorrow. Leo had a tiring look on his face,
He talks to himself, 'This is another lot of work' he said to himself before sleeping beside Amarié.
The morning came,
Leo woke up and as he turn on his side, Amarié was already out of bed,
He also get out of bed and walks to the bathroom, he brushes his teeth and took a quick shower. When he gets out of the room, the sweet aroma of coffee filled the his nostrils as he walks toward the kitchen, three beautiful ladies are on the dining table chatting.
He just stood there with his hands in his pockets, he smiled as he watches the three,
Shye noticed him standing and nodded her head to ask him to come closer, the two girls Amarié and Shane also looked his was,
Shane stood up and Amarié pulled out a seat for him, Leo sat down with them. A cup of coffee was offered to him.
"Good morning" Shane smiled at him as she hands the cup of coffee to him, Shye offered him a plate of fresh bread.
"Why do you girls seem so nice to me?" Leo said before taking a sip.
They all smiled and pointed at the window across the living room, Leo looked confused.
"Huh? What is it?" he was confused, "Just take a quick look there boss" Amy said.
Leo walked across the living room, he looked through the window and he sighed so heavily, the three girl laughed as he did.
Leo looked at them with a pouting face, the three girls look away whistling,
Leo finished his coffee and walked towards the door,
"Don't worry about the shop today, we'll handle it" Shane said with her thumbs up.
Leo pouts and storms down the stairs, as he reach the the first floor he saw Thalia cleaning the tables.
"Why you up early?" Leo ask her,
She was startled, "Oh M-Mr. Leo, I have to work so I woke up early" she stated,
"Just call me Leo, I feel so old" he said walking towards the glass door of the shop.
As he opens the door a pile of wooden boxes are there right in front of the steps. He checked and notice something weird about the boxes.
He goes inside again and grab tools to open one of the box, and as he did dis appointment is painted on his face.
"I still have to build some of them?" he nagged, a voice tried to comforted her.
"It's just the beds, tables and the mini sofas hehe" Shane said.
Leo felt tired already he was about to pick up a box when Amarié speaks, "Can't start yet, the other girls are still asleep" she said making Leo feel more irritated.
"Hush, there Mr. Leo, I'll help you with them" Thalia pats his back, Leo looked at her with hope.
Amarié and Shane laughed at the sight of the two. They prepared the shop, brewed coffee and cooked breakfast for student meals.
The three girls step-down from the second floor looking gorgeous,
Shye was wearing a white polo top tucked in her black slacks, Cess with her beige shirt and white skirt and Hera with a sleeveless white top layered with a grey blazer and some black slacks.
Leo stared at them as they walked down the stairs,
"My girls are dressed professionally except for you" Leo said pointing at Cess,
"Well, Mr. Leo I'm the cutest professional" she said proud,
Hera complained, "Your girls? For real? what a creep" she rolled her eyes, All of them laugh because of Hera's gesture.
All of them sat down for breakfast, the three girls who helped the shop prepared pancakes and eggs for all of them along with brewed coffee and tea.
As they were eating Leo spoke, "You three girls should sleep at the third floor tonight" he said before taking a sip of coffee.
The girls lok confused, "Why?" Hera asked,
"Furnitures came, I have to set up all of it" Leo said,
"We can hel-" Cess was about to volunteer when Shye cuts her off,
"Don't bother, that man won't let you" she said,
"Shye's right, you'll be tired from class so just rest there" Leo stated.. The girls agreed and finished breakfast.
At 6:00 AM, they opened the shop and students came flooding in. At first Leo watched them handle the shop but as soon as he sees them struggle he helps them.
"What are you doing? Just sit down and save your energy, You have a lot of work to do later" Shane nagged looking at the mountain of boxes outside.
Leo looked at her, "This is my shop darling, plus I can't just watch you three manage it, I want to help okay?" Leo replied
"B-but-" Shane was about to answer back but Leo pressed his index finger on her lips,
"No buts" he said before cleaning up a table.
7:00 o'clock strikes and the three girls went to school, the flood of students finally settled.
"Hooh, Anytime soon I'll get used to this" Amarié said, "Yeah, This is quite the work" Shane said which Thalia agreed upon by nodding.
The three girls look around to find Leo, he was outside arranging the boxes. Thalia went outside to help him, "Uhmm, Mr. Leo let me help you" she says,
"Rest for a while, help me after you take a breather" he said winking at her,
Lia blushed and nodded, "Yes, Sir".
Leo lifted the small boxes first then after that the medium size boxes.
While Leo carry those boxes Shane and Amarié talked to Lia, "Hey, Lia we have a favor to ask you, actually two favors" Amarié said smiling
Lia comes closer to them, "What is it?" she said,
"You see that big box, First, Help us hide it here in the shop" Shane said,
"Mr. Leo said we should let him be for a while" Thalia stated, "Yeah, but if we don't hide that from him, he'll just store it in and we won't be able to use it" Amarié replied,
Lia just agreed and nodded, they waited for Leo to fetch another batch of boxes before hastening and hiding the medium size box at the back of the cafe.
"There nice and hidden" Shane said,
"Hooh, that was heavy, what was that?" Thalia asked,
"Just wait and see" Amarié said, "and about the second favor, can you play golden hour on repeat while you guys assemble the furniture?" she added.
"Why?" Lia was confused,
"Just do it and you'll be rewarded" Shane said,
Lia trust the two girls, she nodded and agreed.
