Two Requests

The Adamant Sol Dragon stopped its movement and glared at Leng San without an expression.

“Humans are liars. You’re lying just to change my mind. How could I believe you?”

“Y...your wife is pregnant, b...but she couldn’t give birth t...to her babies...b...because…”

Leng San lost his consciousness before he was able to finish the sentence due to serious injuries. For the average human, the injuries inflicted on the boy could put them to death three times already. But because of the Azure Dragon’s soul, blessing him with an inhumane regeneration, the boy was able to survive the attack.

The Adamant Sol Dragon hesitated. Leng San’s word made the dragon waver. The creature knew that its wife was pregnant, but for some reason, it wasn’t able to give birth to its babies, despite them being overdue for many years. Furthermore, its body grew weaker and weaker, to the point that it couldn’t even stand up.

If Leng San’s diagnosis was correct, killing him would mean that it had just destroyed the hope to save its wife’s life. The dragon slowly walked to Leng San, who was unconscious. Suddenly, the dragon’s eyes dilated. Devastating fear was evident in the creature’s eyes.

‘The energy within this human boy... the Azure Dragon, king of all dragons.’

After seven days had passed, Leng San slowly regained his consciousness. More than thirty percent of his injuries had healed, but it was too early for him to use his power. The boy tried to open his eyes, but Freya’s voice spoke to him.

“Don’t get up yet. Pretend that you’re still unconscious. The dragon doesn’t know that you’ve regained your consciousness.”

Leng San followed Freya’s advice and pretended to be unconscious as he talked to her.

“Kid, do you know what’s wrong with the female dragon?”

“To be honest, I only knew that the female dragon was pregnant. But I’m not sure about the root of the problem. I had to tell the dragon that I knew to save my own life.”

“Hmph!! What a sly kid. At least, the lie saved your life. With your half-baked medical knowledge, you knew it was pregnant before I even noticed. Brilliant indeed. According to my senses and my observation, while you were unconscious, I think I know what’s the problem. And if the dragon asks you, just repeat my words.”

“You’re a lifesaver, Freya!! I love you more than any of the other girls.”

“Tsk!! Get lost, kid.”

Soon after, Leng San gradually opened his eyes and sat up. The boy squinted at the Adamant Sol Dragon before him and let out a tiring sigh. He knew that his escape route had been completely sealed.

“You’re awake, I see,” the dragon’s voice seeped into each and every cell of the boy.

“Thank you for letting me live.”

“I have two questions to ask you. Whether I let you live or not, depends on your answer. You knew my wife was pregnant. Why hasn’t she given birth yet?”

“My lord, your child had mutated during her pregnancy, meaning that he was born stronger than the average dragon which extended the gestation period within your wife’s womb. However, your child, who is very strong, absorbed quite an amount of energy from your wife as well. Your wife had been continuously losing her energy over the course of several years, which led to her present condition.”

The Adamant Sol Dragon appeared to be troubled. The creature was surprised, proud, and worried at the same time. Leng San, who saw the change, grinned.

“I can help your wife, in exchange for... two requests.”

“Tell me!!” The dragon squinted at Leng San.

“My first request is to let me leave after your wife and child are safe.”

“Accepted!! What’s the other one?”

“My second request is, your dried skins that have accumulated over the course of a hundred years if you were to leave it like this, won’t it be a waste of space? Can I have all of your dried skins?”

Leng San cupped his hands and bowed as he carefully observed the Adamant Sol Dragon’s reaction. If the dragon did not allow the boy to take back the dried skins, he would have to give up.

“Hmm…? These dried skins? You can have them. I was about to throw them away.”

Leng San’s eyes widened. The dragon’s reply caught the boy’s attention. This meant that...

“Erm...my lord, could you please confirm my understanding? You said that you were about to throw them away. This meant that you’ve thrown a lot of those away?”

“Of course, why would I keep them? I throw these skins away every ten years. Look at the size of my body and my wife’s. If we keep collecting them, by the twentieth year, I wouldn’t be able to fit myself into the cave.”

Extremely thrilled, Leng San’s body trembled. He tried to remain calm by slowly inhaling and exhaling for three to four rounds, but still, he couldn’t contain the excitement as he realized this adamantite was only the tip of the iceberg!!

“Where did you throw these dried skins? Can I have them too?”

“You can have it. I just swept them out of the cave. They should be at the bottom of the ocean, connected to this cliff. It is quite shallow, only about two hundred meters deep. Dive to gather them if you want.”

“Thank you, my lord. As you’ve agreed to my requests, I will do my best to heal your wife, but what is your second question?”

“After you’ve helped my wife, I will ask you this question before you leave. Now go and take a look at my wife’s condition. Tell me if you need anything.”

Leng San moved closer to the sleeping female dragon and walked around it while asking Freya about the next procedure.

“Freya, what are we going to do next?”

“Well, it has lost a lot of energy, so we have to replenish its energy, which isn’t hard, as long as we have enough herbs.”

“That sounds like a good plan. So, we just keep giving it medicine until it gives birth?”

“Yes, if you could keep doing that for a few decades,” Freya chuckled.

“Are you crazy!! It’s going to be a year in four months since I left the city. I also need about two months to travel to the Indigo Cloud City. No matter what, I must make her give birth safely, within one month!!”

“You’re willing to do whatever it takes?” Freya asked.

“If you do have a way, no matter what, as long as it takes only one month, I will do everything you tell me to,” Leng San replied, fisting his extended chest to demonstrate his determination.

“It won’t take a month. With this method, it would take you only seven days.”

Leng San delightfully smiled, “Great!! Now tell me what I have to do.”

“You will have to crawl into the dragon’s vagina and bring the child out.”
