Chapter 5

(Bob meets Lena on his way to his office.)

Bob: Hmm, why have you been avoiding me?

Lena: Have I?

Bob: Lena, don't play with me…

Lena: I believe I just come to work and do my job… I don't hide from people I work with.

Bob: It's been like what, a month? (Bob grabs Lena and enters his office.) Today wait for me, Lena and you better not run cause I will come straight to your house.

Lena: Hmmm... Have a nice day, Sir!

Bob: Lena... Lena… Aarrghhh, she's driving me crazy…

(At Lena's house)

Bob: Hello Ma, please I'm in search of a young lady called Lena. Please does she live here?

Lena's mum: Oh yes, she's my daughter. Let me call her for you.

Lena's mum: Lena, someone is here to see you.

Lena: Yes, mum…

Lena's mum: Lena, see today is Saturday. If he wants you to go with him, go oo and don't come back... We need money… (taps Lena's shoulders)You are now behaving like my daughter.

(Lena goes out to meet Bob.)

Lena: What are you doing here?

Bob: Looking for you

Lena: Please leave

Bob: Hmmm, if you come with me then…

Lena: Aahh okay fine, let's go…

Bob: You're going in that?

Lena: What? Let's go…

(Bob takes Lena straight to a shop and buys her a t- shirt and a pair of sneakers)

Lena: Why do I have to wear this?

Bob: Because my dear, we are hanging out today and I don't want anybody to see what's mine… Hmmm let's buy you a jeans too cos that is too short.

Lena: I'm not wearing jeans or a shirt... I'm comfortable in this.

Bob: Lena, go change or else I will do it myself…

Lena: You wouldn't dare…

Bob: Oh, try me

(Lena changes into the jeans, shirt and sneakers. They first drives through a restaurant and eat before settling at an amusement park to chat.)

Bob: So... Tell me... Who's Lena? I mean aside from the rude girl I met... Is there more?

Lena: I'm not rude. I just say what's on my mind.

Bob: Oh really... I didn't know that's another name for rude… hahahaha...

Lena: Hahaha. I'm not…

Bob: Ok Lena, so tell me about yourself... I want to know more.

Lena: Well, I am my mother's second child and my father's first.... And I work at a marketing firm...

Bob: Really hahahaha... Come on tell me more...

Lena: Ok, ask me the questions and I will answer.

Bob: Ok

(They ended up talking till 5:00 pm and bob had to drive Lena back home but he didn't want to.)

In front of Lena's house

Bob: So here we are...

Lena: Thank you for today. And if you permit, let me go inside and change, and bring back your clothes.

Bob: Lena, I bought those clothes for you. They are yours, Please keep them.

Lena: Are you sure? Cause guys nowadays when they breakup, they take everything of theirs away oo.

Bob: Really? Wait, are we dating?

Lena: No, I'm just citing an example.

Bob: But I want to date you (Draws closer to Lena)

Lena: Hmmm

(Bob kisses Lena softly on the lips and her chin. Lena recovers quickly and rushes out of the car. That night, Lena couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned on her bed till morning and she had to go to work. Lena walks out of her house to meet Bob parked outside and waiting...)

Bob: Good morning, Miss Mortilor...

(Lena being confused quickly asked what he was doing here.)

Bob: Well I came to give a certain princess a lift to work seeing how far she lives from her work.

Lena: Eerrmm thank you but I can take my own car...

Bob: Don't do that. Don't be stubborn, let me treat you like the princess you are.

Lena: Okay, on one condition…

Bob: Which is?

Lena: If I sit in your car, no special treatment at work.

Bob: Well...

Lena: Bob... Okay I will take my own car

Bob: Okay fine… No special treatment

Lena: Alright, let's go.

Everything goes smoothly at work till Mr. Benson decides to give Lena a hard time.

Mr. Benson: Lena, so when will you allow me to promote you?

Lena: Mr. Benson, I don't understand…

Mr. Benson: Are you sure, Lena? (Mr. Benson tried to touch Lena's breasts but she hits him hard.)

Lena: Oh I'm sorry... So sorry

Mr. Benson: You dare hit me... Lena, I will kill you today... Aahh this girl, I will tell HR to fire her

Lena: Oh, what have I done? He will surely fire me.

(After the work, Lena receives a letter from HR that she's been sacked.

During the weekend

Bob decides to hang out with Lena before he travels to see to some work oversees.

Bob: Hey Lena, guess what I'm outside. Come out

Lena: Doing what?

Bob: Just want to hang out... Come on, I'm waiting or I will come and pull you out myself

Lena: Hmmm ok

(Lena meets bob outside)

Lena: What are you doing here?

Bob: Came to take you somewhere, come on hop in.

Lena: Hmm ok...

(Bob drives to his church and asks Lena to come out. Lena comes out of the car and walks with Bob into the church. Bob greets Pastor Nelly, and introduces Lena to him as his future wife but she's just too stubborn to accept him. Pastor Nelly laughs and talks to Lena, he tells Lena that Bob is a good boy and she should open her heart to him... He goes ahead and invites Lena to worship with them. Sitting in Bob's car, Lena smiles and tells Bob she never thought he was the Christian type.")

Bob: (with smiles) There's a lot you don't know about me, baby.

Lena: Hmmm baby huh, then show me or tell me so I can know

Bob: Someone just accepted to be my girl ....finally

Lena: In your dreams, Bob... (They both laughed.)
