Chapter 4

As if last night being the worst night of my life wasn't enough, I walked in this morning to find a pile of files on my desk. I hanged my bag and decided to start with it.

(Phone rings)

Lena: Lena speaking…

Caller: Miss Mortilor, can I see you in my office right now?

Lena: Okay, Sir.

(In Bob's office)

Lena: You called, Sir.

Bob: Yes. Have a seat, please.

Lena: I'm fine, Sir.

Bob: Lena, sit down.

Bob: Can you brief me on the AGET project so far?

Lena: Eerrmm Sir, the AGET project is for Abigail and I don't think I'm allowed to talk about it.

Bob: Hmmm I see... But as far as I'm aware, you are the one always talking to the people and also working on the files. In fact, I picked up the AGET file on your desk on my way in this morning... So Miss Lena, I think you are the best person to talk to me. Unless you want me to talk to Abigail myself and I guess you know what that means.

Lena: Errm there will be no need, Sir. I will brief you myself.

Bob: Okay then it's settled, dinner tonight.

Lena: Excuse me, Sir.

Bob: Anything the matter?

Lena: You said dinner?

Bob: Yes, make reservations for dinner for two and make yourself available at 6pm please. You may go.

In Lena's house after work

Lena: Aahhhhhhhhhh.... Why do we have to do this over dinner? We could have just discussed this in the office but nooo... He being the bully he is, "It's settled then, we having dinner." (In Mr. Bobery's voice)

Lena starts to hit a pillow and make weird noises

Lena's mum: "Kw3 Adje, oy3 ojogbaaa?" Why are you disturbing me? This is all you know, your mates are out there sleeping with men and making money. You are here! Foolish child.

Lena: Sorry Ma

*Phone rings*(message)

Unknown: Hope you are ready, Miss Mortilor? On my way….

Lena: Huh?!!!

Dammnn he's almost here... She rushes to get a dress and apply a lil' make up and wait.

AT WORK THE NEXT DAY

Bob: Good morning everyone

Abigail: OMG ...the boss greeted me.

Dan: He said everyone, not you…

Abigail: Oh please, spare me that... And where's Lena? I thought I asked her to finish with my report first.

Meanwhile, Lena has been avoiding Bob the whole morning because of what happened last night

[Flashback (Last night)]

Lena seeing Bob walk in with a lady feels disappointed.

Bob: Hello Lena, this is Gladys my childhood friend.

Lena: Hi, nice meeting you.

Bob: So let's order or what do you say ladies

(Bob completely ignores Lena each time Lena tries to talk to him about the project.)

Gladys: So how do you find working with Bob?

Lena: Well I can't complain, I guess it's okay…

Bob: Okay?

Lena: Yeah

Gladys: Wait, is she the loose lady you were talking about?

Lena: Loose…. me?

Bob: No Lena, calm down...

Lena: You told her I was loose? Because of what? Are you stupid?

Bob: Lena, watch your mouth …I'm still your boss.

(Lena throws her food on Bob and walks out. Bob runs after Lena, grabs her, pinned her to the wall andforcefully kissed her. Lena pushes him and runs out of the restaurant.)

Bob: Hello Mr. Benson, do you know where I can find Miss Mortilor? Can you please ask her to see me...Thank you

Mr. Benson: aahh Lena the boss wants to see you... Where have you been?

Lena: I went to get lunch

Mr. Benson: Okay

Lena knocks

Bob: Come in... You can have a seat, Lena…

Lena: Guess I'm now Lena

Bob: Well I guess it's safe to say we have passed that Miss Mortilor stage after what happened last night.

Lena: If I may ask, what happened? Cause as far as I can remember, nothing happened.

Bob: If you walk out ...don't come back...

Two weeks later

Mr. Benson: Lena, these are the files that MD wants. Can you please take it to him after work?

Lena: Why after work? Is he not at work?

Mr. Benson: Lena, are you sure you have been coming to work and you don't know the boss has been absent for two weeks now?

At MD's house

Bob: The door is open.

Lena: Good evening Sir… Please the documents you requested for.

Bob: Lena, hi...

(Bob laughed as he watches Lena on his home security.Bob enters the kitchen as Lena cooks and stands right behind her and kisses her neck. Lena jumps and turns around.)

Lena: What are you doing sir? Your food will be ready soon.

Bob: Hmmm but I'm looking at my food right now...

(Lena clears throat)

Bob: Are you okay? I mean if you are not well, I can always make it better. (Bob slowly gets closer to Lena and pecks her lips and leaves the kitchen. Lena still in shock recovers quickly and finishes preparing the food.Lena serves Bob. Bob really enjoys the food and asks Lena to eat with him.)

Lena: No, I'm okay…

Bob: Lena, sit down and eat if you really want to go.

Lena: Fine…

Bob: So tell me something about yourself…

Lena: There's nothing to tell... Everything is on my employee file.

Bob: Are you always this guarded and rude?

Lena: Depends on who's asking.

Bob: Okay, that's it… (Bob gets up, grabs Lena and kisses the hell out of her.)

Bob: With every rude, cheeky reply I get from you, I will punish you. So if I were to be you, I will watch my mouth…. What?? Can't talk again?

Lena: Sorry

Bob: What? I can't hear you…

Lena: I'm sorry…

Bob: Good! Now, finish your food. Let me grab my keys and I'm taking you home period...

Lena: Hmmm...
