after i receive the document that kazuma-san brought with him, I begin to explain the victim, in this case, his friend to my family.

the name is Sherman Yuuki, 27 years old half England and half Japan man. he was living in the Aichi prefecture until he moved out to the edo as he wanted to become a detective in the age of 20. he was kazuma-san junior as they begin to begin their work to crack the case that was still rampant in the edo. after the case is over, they begin their friendship until one case that made kazuma-san quit his current job. they still exchange messages even kazuma-san quit his job.

then he died in the Aichi prefecture with the cause of died is heavy injuries around his lower abdomen. the reason for his move to the Aichi even though his home base was edo because of the incident that involved his childhood friend that was missing after being informed by his family about it. he begins to take a trip to Aichi as a pretext to visit his mother as he was worried about her health as his father is still working in England as manager of a bank that still needed his help.

after he arrived at his hometown, he began his investigation on his childhood friend's missing as he began to notice that there were already recurring similar cases of a missing person that have the same as his childhood friend with the missing victim feature as a woman with an age range of 18-30, with a beautiful face as their feature and whenever they were missing, there was some mist that appeared on that day.

then he knew that this was a sinister case that should be investigated already by the central police as the number of missing women was already 13 at the time he began his investigation. then he began to report his finding to the central police but what he didn't expect was he shouldn't investigate that case any longer as this is the order from the higher-up and he was ordered to come back immediately to the HQ. he was disappointed at the action that was taken by police. then, he said that his mother was still sick such that he wanted to extend his holiday to 1 week as his father began to come back from England after he was done with his work. the one on the phone then agreed to his request. then, he began to investigate earnestly to solve this case before he was coming back to edo.

then bad or good luck, he found himself in the rumored mist as he began to search for the woman that was going to became a missing person. then, he found the woman but what he didn't expect was that the woman was injured when he found her and she when saw him began to ask for help from yuuki with a scared look saying that she was chased by someone that wanted to kill her. without any hesitation, he saved her and lead her toward the nearby shelter in the area. but to his luck or in this case bad one, he encountered the suspect as carrying the woman on his back.

then suddenly, he was attacked and was slashed through his stomach vertically in the middle until almost reaching his lower half. it was a deep wound that should spell his doom but with his willpower, he held through and run away from the suspect. after he ran away, the mist was gone just like nothing and he fell down with the woman on his back. luckily, someone went on his way to his home and saw yuuki and an injured woman. he begins to call an ambulance to save them. but after they arrived at the hospital, yuuki can't be saved as he ran with a wound that was deep on his body. luckily, the woman is saved.

then to interrupt my word, oyaji begin to speak to me.

"ryouma, where the hell do you get this kind of information anyway? this kind of information can't be obtained unless someone involves, in this case, tell you or-"

"of course, it is the person concerned that we obtained it, right kazuma-san?"

"yeah, the one that provided the information was my dead friend and the woman in that report"

"oi oi, how the hell your dead friend can give you information when he is already gone from this world?"

"my friend always writes a diary around the investigation that he conducted. i get that diary after i visited my friend's funeral. his family was the one that gave me the diary saying that this was his last will to give me this when he was die and his mother khhh hmp said sob to me that sob to find this heinous killer out there to appease my friend sob sob kuhhh"
