Chapter 31- Time

The call was received, Lily had already talked to her parents but, to her surprise, her parents weren't even surprised and something was off, Lily was extremely good at reading room after the incident with Karina, she was always on the edge because she was always afraid of what would happen next what was the conclusion and what was discussed, it became a habit of Lily to observe her parents every little behavior and know what was going on,

'Something is not setting right.' (Lily)*careful*

'What?' (Lily's mom)*calm*

'You guys are not even surprised.' (Lily)*careful*

'We saw this coming.' (Lily's dad)*smiles*

'So, what now?' (Lily)*careful*

'We will talk and finalize stuff.' (Lily's mom)*Calm*

'Tell me honestly what is on your mind.' (Lily)*careful*

'You always know too much.' (Lily's mom)*grins*

'What?' (Lily)*confused*

'See, we know you guys want to get married but, you should know it is not just a simple ceremony like that of humans.' (Lily's dad)*calm*

'Simple? You know to what extent we had to go just to get that ceremony done?' (Lily)*annoyed*

'Lily, yes know it was tough but, remember that this one will be ten times tougher than that one, there is a high chance that, this won't be easily mutually agreed on, considering the situation, it will take a lot of time just to come to an agreement and the further steps, it will at the least take 5 years minimum.' (Lily's mom)*relaxed*

'What? Woah! Why but?' (Lily)*astonished*

'You will know when we meet.' (Lily's dad)*grins*

'Honey, how is the bridge going?'*changing the topic*(Lily's mom)

The conversation quickly changed from one to another, it was clear that her parents didn't want to talk about the marriage and everything will only come clear in the meeting, Lily didn't share this with rowan she only informed him that her parents agreed to dinner, Lily had nothing to do in the house other than involving herself in studying and supervising the reports about various stuff her parents worked on and further check on the invitation they received and also handle minor complaints and requests they received in the estate, as usual, Rowan entered through the window and they both sneaked out.

'During breakfast, I talked to my parents, they were so calm, they did take the topic seriously but, they showed no signs of being surprised or interested, it just seemed like they were witnessing something that, they expected but, didn't look forward to and just a long hassle to deal with their reaction was just off there seems to be something wrong; our marriage won't be an easy hassle it gonna take us at least 10 years according to me, today's meeting gonna take quite a toll on us.' (Lily)*troubled*

'I see, now I think my family's reaction made sense, they just didn't believe that you agreed to marry me, there seems to be a lot of things we are missing that, will be only found today, we won't be able to go on with our mission tonight it seems.' (Rowan)*worried*

'Yes' (Lily)*tired*

The water in the streams was flowing and flowing there didn't seem to be an end to the flowing water, Lily was staring at it; she was lost in her thoughts,

[How unfair? How seriously unfair, the human world is amazing they live only max 100years but, they live those years to their fullest, some are lucky to find ways earlier and have a rest earlier but some are not, but, yet they live the rest of their life happily they don't wait long to do the things they want; they live, have fun, joy, struggle, suffer, cry and finally rest, they don't wait for long they know their life is short so they live every day to its fullest as possible, like this streams of never ending water so, is the life of the werewolves, their life never ends it goes on and on, some may think that werewolf live long so, they might not feel the clicking time but, that is not true we experience the flow of time in the same ways as humans do, but in our part we fail to live the days to its fullest, if we want to do something today, no we will wait a long time to do it just because we have time and this waiting eats up most of our time, in my age most of the people in the human world would have already been born, lived to experience every happiness and struggle as possible and died, here I'm depriving myself of all the happiness, pleasure and love, waiting the unnecessary waiting just because I have time, what is the use of time? What is the use of the number of years I have lived, if I only used it to wait for the future without living the present, even if I have a long life to live at the end of the day, I am barely living the 100 human years and waiting the rest, it would have been better to live a meaningful 100 years then the meaning less infinity as this streams flow, Useless.]

Arms around Lily and head rested on her shoulder, gazing at the beautiful scenery though he had seen this same scene millions of times, no matter how many times, he always enjoyed the moment he spent with Lily, no matter how repetitive and routine it was for Rowan it was still as fresh as the new cause he was with Lily and Lily was a mystery and happiness to him, one can't fully know the other person while they are constantly changing so, every time he spent with Lily it was always something new to him, it was repetitive but, it was a blessing and lovable to Rowan, it was new, exciting, and pure love for Rowan.
