Chapter 22- Lily's sister

Lily walked to her room, her room was the size of the whole floor of their home in the human settlement, it was filled with everything she needed, bookshelves, emergency snacks, and other kinds of stuff, she walked in front of a shelf and stood there,

A ring, Karina was engraved in it, she leaned on the shelf and slid down and buried her face in her hands.

Lily was 30 years old, it had been 5 years since, the mark appeared and Lily and Rowan were declared as life partner, the Event had taken place hundreds of years ago, the Rulers had found a little girl among the dead bodies after the great fight, she was wearing armor ready to fight, her legs were both injured she was laying down waiting for her death, The Rulers felt sorry for her, how could those werewolves let a small girl fight in such a big war?, the question was answered later, they took the girl in and brought her back to the Light forest, she was a feisty one, she didn't trust anyone, when asked about her power she said that she had no ability and was labeled useless and thus, was sent to her death, Though everyone was against bringing one of the vicious werewolf back they felt sorry for the girl who was abandoned by her parents, shunned by the community, and sent to fight a bloody battle to die, they didn't treat her rudely but, weren't nice to her either in the middle of chaos, they needed someone to be her guardian and take care of her, Rulers were not allowed to be anyone's guardian so among the Clans, one clan was chosen and among the clans one family would be chosen, Eliora Clan was chosen and the family of Diana, the first daughter of the leader of Eliora clan, mom of Lily was chosen, Lily's mom took her in the mansion and treated her as one of their own, after Lily's birth, Karina felt like her position in the house would be looked down upon as the family now had their first daughter but, that was not the case everyone treated her the same and no one looked down on her and treated her well, Karina looked after Lily as her own sister and they were very close, Rowan who visited the mansion very often and the three became an inseparable pair, Karina had no partner, she did have a mark but, her partner would be among the vicious werewolf clan and thus, finding the person was impossible, Karina seemed like she didn't care, she spent her day being a great sister, things went astray when Karina started to have feelings for one of the werewolf who worked under Lily's mom, the time came for them to receive their mark and as expected Lily and Rowan were partners and the guy Karina had feelings for found his partner, the news reached Karina's ears and for a whole month Karina didn't leave her room or talked to anyone after a month she finally came out,

'How are you doing, Lily?' (Karina)*happy*

'I am fine, sister I missed you?' (Lily)*happy*

They exchanged their greeting and Lily shared about everything Karina had missed during the month she was cooped up in the room, Karina was back to her usual self before she fell for that guy, she started to talk with him normally and even met up with his partner once and she didn't seem to be sad or angry about it after a years, Karina showed great interest in farming and had a lot of knowledge in the same spending around 1,543 years with them Lily's parents did trust her a lot and with her knowledge in farming they assigned her to help out in the farming alongside the fiancée of the boy she used to like, it was a simple crush and they thought it was nothing much, Karina worked alongside the girl and they got really close with each other as they shared same interest and were extremely knowledgeable in farming and plants, The girl had the ability to control water and was among the best among the werewolves who had the ability related to water, due to her great contribution to the farming sector and her great bubbly personality she became popular and loved by many, Karina looked happy whenever she was with that girl.

Lily was walking by the lake when she saw someone in the deep woods where no one usually went, she was curious as to who it might be, she silently entered and saw Karina unleash her ability, her eyes had purple light, she was hiding her ability all along, she was a sword master, her moves were horrifying the dense woods, where the trees were growing closely, those trees were as old as the Forest itself, in the middle of that dense forest around 150,00 square foot of the land was wiped clean like a bare land, Lily was terrified, She was hiding among the woods when their eyes met and Karina walked towards her,

'Lily I know you are there, even if you turned around, I can see you, you have already seen my best ability, let me tell you I can see real far you know, come out.' (Karina)*smiling*

'You lied to us.' (Lily)*afraid*

'I did, if I didn't you wouldn't take me in, would you?' (Karina)*chuckles*

'I.....' (Lily)*stutters*

'See Lily, no matter if I have powers or I don't, I am still your sister aren't I?' (Karina)*upset*

'You are.' (Lily)*upset*

'Don't tell anyone and we will be happy, okay?' (Karina)*sad*

'I won't tell anyone but, you should tell them, you can't deceive them.' (Lily)

'I will tell them to give me some time, dear.' (Karina)

After chatting for a while, Lily asked her since, when she started doing this and according to Karina, she had been releasing her powers since, last 3 years after coming out the reason was not using her powers was burning her heart, there were no records of such things and lack of knowledge of the vicious werewolf Lily just trusted her and didn't tell anyone.
