The group concentrated, their powers merging into a single, powerful force.

Lila's flames, Ezra's telekinetic energy, Sophie's plant life, Toby's water, and Mia's spiritual energy combined into a brilliant beam of light.

They directed the beam at a target, the combined force obliterating it.

"Very well done," Marlowe praised. "Your combined strength is formidable. Now, for the final exercise, defeating a powerful magical construct."

Hartwood waved his hand, and a large, menacing construct appeared before them. It was made of dark energy, its form shifting and pulsating with malevolent power.

"Work together and defeat it," Professor Hartwood commanded, stepping back to observe.

The group braced themselves as the dark construct surged forward. It emitted a chilling aura that made the air around it ripple with malevolent energy.

The group instinctively moved into formation, drawing upon their combined strengths.

"Lila, start with a fire attack to weaken its defenses," Ezra instructed, his voice steady despite the tension.

Lila nodded, summoning her flames. She conjured a massive fireball and hurled it at the construct.

The fireball collided with the dark energy, causing the construct to stagger backward, its form flickering.

"Now, my turn," Ezra said. He focused his telekinetic power, lifting large chunks of stone from the floor and launching them at the construct.

The stones smashed into it, further destabilizing its form.

"Sophie, can you bind it?" Mia asked, her eyes glowing with spiritual energy.

"On it," Sophie replied. She extended her hands, summoning vines from the ground. The vines wrapped around the construct, holding it in place.

"Toby, flood it!" Lila shouted.

Toby summoned a torrent of water, directing it at the construct.

The water hit the dark energy with tremendous force, causing it to sizzle and steam.

Mia stepped forward, her voice resonating with power.

"Spirits, lend me your strength!" She called upon the spirits, who responded with a surge of energy that she channeled into the construct.

The dark energy began to dissipate, unable to withstand the combined assault.

The construct writhed, its form flickering violently. "Now, together!" Lila shouted.

They all concentrated their powers into a final, unified attack.

Flames, telekinetic energy, plant life, water, and spiritual energy merged into a brilliant beam of light that struck the construct, obliterating it in a dazzling explosion of light and energy.

As the remnants of the dark energy faded, the group stood, panting but triumphant.

Professor Hartwood and Professor Marlowe approached, their expressions filled with pride.

"Well done," Hartwood said, his voice warm with approval. "You worked together seamlessly and used your abilities to their fullest potential."

Marlowe nodded. "Your combined strength is truly formidable. This exercise has shown that you are capable of facing even the most powerful of foes."

The group exchanged relieved smiles, their confidence bolstered by their success.

"That was intense," Toby said, wiping sweat from his brow. "But it felt good to know we can handle it."

Professor Hartwood gestured for them to sit, and they gathered in a circle on the floor, still catching their breath.

Lila, feeling a renewed sense of purpose, said, "We'll be ready, Professors. We'll keep training, and keep getting stronger. We won't let the Shadow King win."

Ezra added, "We've come a long way, and we'll keep moving forward. Together, we can face anything."

Sophie, her eyes filled with determination, said, "We'll protect our world and the people we care about. We won't back down."

Toby, his smile confident, said, "We're in this together. We'll keep fighting, no matter what."
