Eric woke up groggily and looked at his cellphone which was in the backpack. "Oh, I overslept," He said after seeing that it was 11 am. He brushed his teeth and washed his face, and then headed out to find Alaric. Students were staring at him due to his unknown face, and unusual hair.

While he was walking towards Headmaster Saltzman's office, he overheard students talking about two schoolgirls gone missing.

"I thought you would never wake up," Mr. Saltzman said to Eric jokingly.

"Yeah, that doesn't happen often, I guess I was super tired yesterday," Eric said.

"Figured, no problem. We can do our test now or do you have something to do? Are you feeling hungry?" Mr. Saltzman asked while walking towards a place.

"No, I am fine, and I am still not hungry. Let's do it right now,"

"By the way, why is everybody talking about two missing girls? You have a very interesting town. I haven't been here for even a couple of days, and I was kidnapped, a murder happened, and now two girls are missing. It seems life doesn't get boring here" Eric said jokingly.

"Hehe, not a great first impression of our little town, right?" Mr. Saltzman asked.

"No, actually it is good that life doesn't get stale here," Eric answered.

"Great,"

"We also recently we encountered new monster problems, sheriff and I decided to take drastic action if in case it is related to monsters" Mr. Saltzman continued.

"So, even sheriff knows that supernatural exists?" Eric asked.

"Mystic fall is a small town," Mr. Saltzman didn't explain much further and they finally reached their destination, in front of a door.

"Are the missing girl's case related to the murder yesterday?" Eric asked before they could enter.

"It is highly possible because the girl murdered yesterday was a former student of Mystic Falls High School, and the two girls that are missing are currently Mystic Falls Highschool's students. That is a big connection between the three of them, but we can't be sure. We also sent, Landon, Hope, and some other students to gather information at their school," Mr. Saltzman said.

"Landon? Wasn't he grieving the death of his friend?" Eric asked Mr. Saltzman in confusion because from what he remembered from the boy, he wasn't in a good shape to do something like this.

"Yes, Landon. With a lot of convincing from both Hope and me, we were able to send him on this mission. It was to help him get his mind off of his friend's death," Mr. Saltzman explained.

"So you sent him on a dangerous mission to find a possible monster or a murderer to help him get his mind off of his friend's death that happened just yesterday?" Eric questioned.

"He is with Hope so his safety is guaranteed. Although yesterday's incident was very tragic, but we have to move on rather quickly. As I have said to you, walking into the supernatural world is dangerous. And unfortunately, Rafael's death by a hunter is not a unique case. This establishment helps to reduce these kinds of tragic incidents to a minimum," Headmaster Saltzman explained as he opened a door with a stairway that led to some kind of a basement.

Both Eric and Headmaster Saltzman descended from the stairs until they reached to a place with a few jail like structures inside.

"What is this place!? a dungeon?" Eric asked suspiciously while looking at the several cage like structures in the dungeon.

"No this is not a dungeon. We call this place the werewolf transition space. Some werewolves after turning can't control themselves fully so in the full moon we place them here," Alaric explained.

"Okaaay, but why am I here? As you have told me, I am not a werewolf, and you don't even know what I am," Eric said warily.

"I know, but this is for both our safeties. I don't know if you can control yourself while using your powers so I thought it would better to test your powers in a contained place, so it wouldn't endanger anyone," Alaric said to Eric.

"Fine, but don't lock the door just yet. Only lock it when you see I can't control myself, that is my bottom line" Eric said seriously because he knows that he won't lose control unless he is extremely hungry, which he isn't right now.

Eric saw principal Saltzman struggle so he continued "If you can't do that, then I don't want to be a student here, because if you can't trust your student to have this under his control, then why should I trust you to let me out of this cage. I am not stupid, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out. I know that you are suspicious of me and think that I am responsible for the murder and the missing case otherwise you wouldn't have explained the case in full detail to see my reaction," Eric said.

"You are saying this but how can I believe you? I didn't know you, but according to you on the first day that you came here, in this town, someone was murdered in the same woods that you supposedly lost your consciousness and two more people were kidnapped, but I really didn't do anything. You also told me that you find the smell of people delicious, so tell me how can I believe you?" Headmaster Saltzman asked threateningly.

"Fair enough. But why would I even want to kill them? And am I an idiot to tell you that I find the smell of other people delicious to you? and if I killed her then wouldn't that just make me more suspicious?" Eric asked.

"Some supernatural creatures can't control themselves. They just to kill other people to satiate their lust for chaos, you also told that you like an interesting life" Mr. Saltzman said, as he quickly took out a crossbow from inside one of the cells.

Eric said "Aren't you racist? You are assuming that I am someone who likes to spread chaos like cliche villains in novels just because some supernatural beings do this. What would students do if they find out their principal is biased against them?"

"Don't twist my words, I and my students are like family, and I treat them how I treat my own daughters. But you are an unknown supernatural being that came right at the moment that monsters are showing up and targeting the school," Headmaster Saltzman said while pointing his crossbow towards Eric.

"I get why you are suspicious of me but It is also obvious that you have convinced yourself that I am the culprit and you are biased against me, because of that I wouldn't put myself willingly in your hands like an idiot, because I also can't trust you. You are treating me like a murderous monster with circumstantial evidence at best, but I can make a compromise because I am not an unreasonable person," Eric said seriously.
