Important Author's Note: Hey guys, I am again sorry for the delay. I was busy again.

I saw that some people asked how did an arrow penetrate him. The answer to that question is simple, this fic is not Tokyo Ghoul, things will be different and not everything will be exactly canon. He is the only Ghoul in this world so how could anyone kill him (excluding the way Rize died, or anything of similar) without a Kagune or Quinque. Also, don't worry about me nerfing him. He is not nerfed and will be more powerful than Kaneki. Everything will be revealed later in the story because I don't wanna spoil it.

There is also one more thing that I wanted to repeat. Romance in this fic will not come early, and it will be with an OC, and not Hope Mikaelson.

I hope I made things a bit clearer for y'all.

P.S Also I know that this is very slow paced with a low frequency of upload, I might try to increase it to two chapters per week but this won't come in the foreseeable future.

'Sh*t, I wasn't paying attention, and now two people are approaching. What should I do? Should I flee? Or should I fight? Scott is a main character, so he should be able to survive. I also can run if the situation gets worse, and if the worst comes, I should be able to defend myself. So let's see what is going to happen,'

After a few short moments, both Eric and Scott heard the sounds of footsteps approaching. Two people came to their view. One of them was a beautiful female teenager about the same age as Eric and Scott with brunette hair which Eric didn't recognize. But he could recognize the other person who was a middle aged man. He remembered him from the vampire's diaries but he couldn't exactly remember his name, the only thing that he remembered was that he kind of had a unique name. But from what he could remember, he wasn't a bad person, so that was a plus for Eric.

'He shouldn't be a bad guy, but why is he carrying a crossbow? What is wrong with everyone and crossbows?' Eric thought to himself.

"Who are you two?" Scott asked warily while eying the crossbow in the middle aged man's hand.

"Landon!" They heard the female shout and ran towards Landon who was still in shock.

"What happened here?" the middle aged man asked while looking at the bodies.

"First tell us who you are, and why are you here," Scott inquired again while reading to attack.

"Calm down kid, I am not here to hurt you, I am here to help you. My name is Alaric Saltzman. I hoped that we could meet in a better situation, but unfortunately it is not possible. We are familiar with both of them. Can you explain what happened here?"

Eric shook his head feigned ignorance because supposedly he was unconscious the whole time and said "I don't know. The last thing that I remember is that I was walking towards the mystic falls then everything went black and I ended up here."

Alaric looked towards Scott to see if he knows what is going on here.

Also, after seeing the interaction between the teenage girl and Landon, Scott's suspicion diminished and started to explain the situation.

"I was in the jungle with my friend, but we separated from each other. I was returning home when I heard some noises. I walked towards it and saw the three of them tied to the trees. I hid and listened to what the man was saying when unfortunately I saw him get shot," Scott said sadness visible on his face.

He continued "When I saw that, I knew I should do something because he is going to kill them as well. But then suddenly a herd of animal deers came and caused a distraction where I bashed the stick to the man's head. I thought he lost his consciousness when he fell, but I was wrong. He shot him as well but fortunately, nothing happened this time. The- Then I hit him again in the head,"

After saying this Alaric looked at Eric with puzzlement. Eric seeing this said "I don't know myself either, the scar just disappeared after a few moments,"

"Ok, excuse me for a moment," after seeing this he walked towards the girl who was calming Landon down and whispered something in her ear. The girl looked towards Eric and Scott for a few seconds then whispered something back into Mr. Saltzman's ear. After this Mr. Saltzman said some encouraging words to Landon and patted his shoulder, then stood up and returned to Eric and Scott's side.

"Aah, I don't know how I am supposed to say this to you, but do you believe in supernatural beings?"

"Wait, what are you talking about?" Scott inquired puzzledly, Eric also looked at Mr. Saltzman feigning puzzlement.

"I think what I am asking is pretty self explanatory, what I am asking is do you know about vampires, witches, and werewolves?" Mr. Saltzman continued.

"Of course I know what supernatural beings are in the fictions, but what's got to do with what happened here?" Scott asked while waving his hands to the surrounding.

"Well, the world isn't as it seems on the surface. The waters are way deeper than you would have ever thought. In this world, supernatural beings exist. The deceased man on the ground most likely is a werewolf hunter, which unfortunately he succeeded in doing just that," Mr. Saltzman explained.

"This has to be a joke right?" Scott said exasperatedly.

"So we just got kidnapped by a so called werewolf hunter and were tied to a tree in the middle of the forest. Then some random guy just waltzes in as we got freed, and tells us that vampires and werewolves are real. Tell me why should we believe you? Huh?" Eric questioned suddenly.

"I know it sounds insane, but it is the truth," Mr. Saltzman said solemnly.

"We don't believe you," Scott said.

"How about I show you the truth," Eric and Scott heard the brunette teenage girl suddenly say, and then without waiting for them to answer she said some gibberish {Post tenebras spero lucem}.

Then suddenly out of nowhere something weird happened. A ball of light appeared in the girl's hands out of thin air.

"Whoa!" Scott exclaimed.

"Yep, that was magic. I answered your question, so you don't have to ask. Mr. Saltzman, we should probably hurry up, the police might be near, and we don't have Kaleb or MG with us."

She then turned towards Landon and continued "Landon, I know Raf was like a brother to you, and it is really terrible that something like this happened to him but we have to hurry, we don't have much time, we will take him with us to give him a proper burial,"

Landon didn't answer but nodded his head.

"There are more things that I want to talk about with both of you but now we don't have time so first let me get the shovels, so we can bury him," Mr. Saltzman pointed to the body and said then quickly retreated the way that they came here before.

The brunette girl walked towards Landon who was still sitting on the ground. Scott after seeing this quickly whispered to Eric "So, what should we do? Should we run now that that guy has left and we are alone with them?"

"I don't think that is necessary because he could have killed us with the crossbow earlier if he wanted. Plus if what they are saying is true, then that man is the least of our concern because she would be more powerful than him. I don't know how she was able to make a light ball but she is an unknown variable, and that could be very dangerous," Eric explained quietly.

After hearing this Scott nodded his head and then they both waited for the man to return.

Mr. Saltzman returned after a few moments with shovels and a backpack.

"Whose backpack is this?" Mr. Saltzman asked while holding the backpack in front. On the backpack, there was a picture of a grotesque smile with the acronym of TG.

'That backpack is probably mine, it has the Kaneki's smile on it and those words are most likely Tokyo Ghoul,' Eric thought to himself.

"It is mine," Eric said and then walked over to receive the backpack.

"Ok, let's start digging a hole to bury him," Mr. Saltzman said that and gave the backpack to Eric, he also gave Eric and Scott a shovel.

After receiving the shovel the trio started digging the hole.
