Prologue:
A Promise Made
"Of course I love this place," Utahime said softly, her gaze drifting away. She was too shy to meet Gojo's eyes.
"We had our first date here, remember?" Gojo's voice was gentle, laced with fondness as he recalled the memories they had shared.
Utahime's blush deepened, her cheeks tinged with crimson. "I remember," she murmured, crossing her arms and still avoiding his gaze.
"Utahime Iori..." Gojo's voice trailed off, and she turned to face him, her eyes widening in surprise. Her hand flew to her mouth in a gasp as she took in the sight before her.
Gojo knelt before her, a small box held delicately between his fingers. "Will you marry me?"
Utahime's heart raced as she took in the sight of the man she loved, his eyes filled with warmth and sincerity. Tears welled up in her eyes as she nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "Yes, Satoru, yes!"
With a smile that lit up the night, Gojo slipped the ring onto her finger, sealing their love with a promise made under the stars.
________________
Years had passed since that fateful night under the stars. Utahime and Gojo had journeyed together through life's twists and turns, their love growing stronger with each passing day.
Now, on a lovely day bathed in sunlight, they stood together at the altar, surrounded by friends and family who had gathered to witness their union.
Utahime's behavior had changed completely in the presence of the man she loved, her heart overflowing with joy and anticipation as she walked down the aisle. Satoru, his eyes filled with awe, could scarcely believe his luck as he watched his bride approach.
As they exchanged vows and rings, sealing their commitment to each other, a wave of emotion washed over them both. Satoru couldn't resist teasing his new wife, his words laced with affection and playfulness.
"You look so damn pretty, wifey," he teased, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Utahime's cheeks flushed with color, but she couldn't hide the smile that tugged at her lips. "Shut up," she replied, though her tone was softened by love.
"Make me," Satoru countered, a smirk dancing on his lips.
Utahime met his gaze with a shy smile, her heart racing with anticipation. And then, with a sudden surge of boldness, she leaned in and captured his lips in a sweet, tender kiss.
Caught off guard for a moment, Satoru quickly recovered, returning her kiss with equal fervor. In that moment, surrounded by the warmth and love of their friends and family, they sealed their bond with a promise made in love.
As they pulled back from their kiss, their foreheads resting against each other, a soft sigh escaped their lips. They were lost in the moment, their love enveloping them like a warm embrace.
Suddenly, the sound of Nanami clearing his throat broke the spell, and Utahime smiled as she gently pulled away to attend to her friends.
"Nanami!" Gojo exclaimed, his face lighting up with joy at the sight of his friend. Nanami approached with a bouquet of flowers in hand, offering his congratulations to the newlyweds.
"Congrats," Nanami said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Gojo responded with his usual playful banter, wrapping his arms around Nanami's shoulders in a gesture of friendship.
"I hope that little kid in you can now grow up." Nanami sighed, his expression softening as he addressed Gojo's childish tendencies. "You're so funny, Nanami," Gojo retorted, playfully smacking his friend's back.
As they exchanged lighthearted banter, Gojo's gaze wandered to where Utahime stood, engrossed in conversation with her friends. He felt a rush of affection wash over him, forgetting everything else in that moment.
Nanami noticed the change in Gojo's demeanor and couldn't help but remark, "I didn't know I could see this side of Satoru Gojo."
In a rare moment of seriousness, Gojo turned to Nanami, his expression earnest. "Do you think I'll make a good husband?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
"If you're worried about it, it means you're ready," Nanami replied, offering his wisdom.
"Do you think I rushed into this?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
"Why do you think so?" Nanami asked, intrigued by his friend's question.
Gojo thought for a moment, then shook his head. "Nevermind," he said, looking away and trying to change the subject.
But Nanami didn't let it go. "Why do you think so?" he repeated, pressing the issue.
"I don't know... After Riko's death, Suguru and I had that argument, we haven't seen each other in months. I've lost that girl, I've lost my best friend and I couldn't do anything about it. Now I didn't want to lose her too. So I proposed to her," Gojo explained, his voice tinged with emotion.
Nanami listened quietly, his expression sympathetic. Then, with a smile, he replied, "You'll make a great husband."
______________
It was late at night, the air heavy with anticipation as a plain weather loomed on the horizon, threatening to turn into dusk. Utahime found herself in the hospital, her hand tightly clasped in Gojo's grasp as she endured waves of pain.
"Push," the doctors urged, their voices a steady rhythm in the dimly lit room. With each agonizing moment, Utahime summoned all her strength until, finally, with a cry of both pain and relief, she gave birth to a baby girl.
The newborn's eyes were a striking blue, mirroring Gojo's own, while her hair was a shimmering blonde, a reflection of her father's features. Tears of joy streamed down Utahime's face as Gojo gently lifted their daughter into his arms.
"Natsuko Gojo," he whispered softly, his voice filled with love and pride. The baby girl giggled in response, her tiny fingers grasping onto Gojo's larger ones.
Utahime, still recovering from the ordeal, felt a sense of contentment wash over her as she gazed at her husband and daughter. But moments later, her peaceful reverie was shattered by another wave of pain.
"It's a twin case," the doctors announced, their voices urgent as they prepared for the arrival of another child.
Quickly, Gojo placed their daughter back in her crib, his heart racing with excitement at the prospect of welcoming another addition to their family. Moments later, a baby boy emerged into the world, his features mirroring his sister's with the same blue eyes and blonde hair.
Utahime smiled through her exhaustion as she cradled her newborn son in her arms, feeling an overwhelming sense of love and gratitude wash over her.
"Haruo Gojo," she whispered, her voice filled with tenderness as she gently caressed the baby boy's cheek. He stirred slightly before drifting off to sleep in his mother's embrace, while Natsuko played contentedly with the buttons on Gojo's shirt.
Lost in the moment, Gojo's mind wandered, a sense of profound significance washing over him. He couldn't shake the feeling that the births of their twins had shifted the balance of the world, as if their very existence had unleashed a ripple effect that would forever alter the delicate equilibrium between curses and sorcerers.
