Mark's life changed the day someone broke into his clinic to tell him that he had been a character of a video game all along and what he had known till now had been a code decided by the game's system. When he was supposed to die though, an external interference broke the code and he was no longer part of the system. Now as the only external influence inside the code, his existence was an enigma on its own. And his fate was to turn into a monster when the humanity continued to betray him at every corner of the world. 'His nature was gentle and loving to the point of putting himself in danger for those he loved. But betrayal laid everywhere in his new world and he should get used to being used' My twitter: https://twitter.com/ojasvisharma6 Support me on Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/daygonyuuki (cover is not mine, I like it but if the maker wants it gone, they can tell me and I'll change)
But then she turned toward Alan and he had a sudden realisation. She was not Rika, she was not even someone whom he knew. But she gave Alan a small and comforting smile and he forgot to breathe for a few seconds straight.
"What is a youngling like you doing out here in this wilderness? You should not be here alone or someone might snatch you up" The female's voice was so melodic that Alan found himself lost in it, his eyes crossed in wonder. There was something about her that was different, dangerous to his senses but he could still not turn away from her.
Now that he looked at her, he could tell she looked nothing like Rika at all and he once again wondered just how he had thought of the two of them as similar. They were as different as they come anyway.
