Clash of the Two Battle Techniques (Part 2)

"KIIIIIL!"

All of them moved at almost the same time. Their strength was varied from middle Grade Battle Fighter to low Grade Battle Warrior. But, their teamwork was messy and there was a lot of flaws, after Fu Tao observed it a while.

Fu Tao clenched his fist and dashed forward!

He was not willing to be a fish on the chopping board as he had to take the initiative! As a sword was swung toward him, Fu Tao blocked the incoming slash with his left shield and he continued with his counter-attack.

Pa!

Seeing one of them was attacked made the other henchmen enraged.

"Beat him up!"

"Encircle him! Use our number's advantage!"

"Damn! Taste this! Roaring Bear Slash!"

Fu Tao kept moving forward as he used his pair of shield not only to protect himself, but also as a deadly weapon. Each of his movement was strong and decisive! Minimalizing his defence, he was focused in his offence.

One man. . .

Two men. . .

Five men. . .

Ten men. . .

One by one, no one was able to survive more than three blows from Fu Tao. His expression was serious, but he was calm on the inside. Each of his steps was careful, not even to mention aggressive. No agitation, no anger, not even complacent feeling.

[Keep calm. Always be prepared for an ambush. Never lower my guard. Keep an eye onto the surroundings. Don't be complacent and never be arrogant.] Fu Tao repeated these sentences in his mind in case he forgot himself.

The scariest aspect of humanity was not only the wisdom, but the capability to maximize the wisdom itself. As long as one could avoid the disadvantage and unfavourable situation, that person would not be in a passive situation.

No one was born without a fruit of wisdom, there was only someone who was unable to use his or her own wisdom properly.

The surroundings were also in awe as they saw Fu Tao's movement while he was using his pair of shield to take the offensive stance! It was almost no different from a close combat technique, but the man in front of them was using a pair of small shield rather than a gauntlet or something similar!

And the exact opposite mood of the surroundings, Chen Lao was in bad mood and it was still plummeting. It was no different from a free fall from the sky onto the earth. Veins bulged all around his arms and his muscle twitched. His eyes were reddened a little as Chen Lao glared at Fu Tao.

Chen Lao never expected that Fu Tao was one of the hidden experts.

Hidden expert was a term used for an unknown guy but had high combat ability. There were various reasoning like far from civilization, pilgrimage, or even some eccentric people with some random excuse. But they were not people to be looked down.

Chen Lao even remembered a rumour about a hidden master that became a 4-Star Mercenary.

But no matter what, Chen Lao didn't believe that the man in front of him was as strong as the person from the rumour though. He believed that he was strong, stronger than the young man before him.

As his henchmen's number dwindled, Chen Lao made his move at last.

"AAAAARGH! BATTLE TECHNIQUE: FLAME-SHROUDED RAGING BULL!"

Chen Lao's body trembled a little and his body grew bigger. His muscle and veins bulged out while his whole body was covered in bright and red flame, the very same flame that shrouded his saber earlier. His expression was full of malevolence as he charged at Fu Tao.

Chen Lao left a smoke trails behind as he moved forward, toward Fu Tao. He was akin to a meteor, blazing and exuding a killing intent and intense heat.

Chen Lao didn't care about any Tom Harry or Dikk that were surrounding Fu Tao. A bunch of henchmen could be re-supplied when he returned to the base. But his face, his pride, it was the most important thing! Hence, Chen Lao didn't care whether his charge had wounded any of his men.

"GO TO HELL!"

With a swing from his saber fused with his Battle Technique: Flame-Shrouded Raging Bull, Chen Lao's strength increased almost twice of his previous fight.

A glint of resoluteness flashed in Fu Tao's eyes as he saw the raging flames in front of him.

"HAAAAAAA!!!"

[Battle Technique: Fish Scale Armour, Full Burst!] Fu Tao gritted his teeth as he unleashed everything in his body, making his whole body glittered akin a diamond.

Different from the usual Battle Technique, this Battle Technique: Fish Scale Armour, Full Burst was an overexertion of his own Battle Technique.

Unlike Liao Yun, Fu Tao was still unable to fully shroud his whole body as he was using his Battle Technique: Fish Scale Armour. His vessel, his body was far too weak. Thus, he created a full burst version, where he forced and overexerted Battle Technique: Fish Scale Armour all over his body.

Fu Tao was not a gifted tribesman, without talent and many limitations. But he knew on how to endure, how to tolerate a pain.

Determination.

It was his only gift.

Even though it was only for temporary, Fu Tao was able to use his Battle Technique: Fish Scale Armour all over his body as long as he could tolerate the unbearable pain.

As the saber almost arrived right in front of Fu Tao, he finally moved. He directly clashed the incoming saber with his shield. No, Fu Tao was not using the shield to parry the saber, but he punched his hand!

"BAAMM. . . . .!"

Feeling that his strongest attack was not enough to kill the man in front of him, Chen Lao continued his assault.

"HAA! DIEEE!!!"

Many were surprised by the shockwave out of the clash between the two!

Each clash was enough to strike a fear in their heart.

Chen Lao clearly proved his prowess as a Peak Grade Battle Warrior as he was able to use Battle Technique: Flame-Shrouded Raging Bull.

Battle Technique: Flame-Shrouded Raging Bull was the Red Rage Bear Mercenary's unique Battle Technique which was not taught toward any outsider. Only the most loyal people would be allowed to learn. It was the signature technique of elite member of the Red Rage Bear Mercenary, the proof of their strength.

And on the other side, Fu Tao's prowess was not one to be looked down as he was able to block that strong blow from Chen Lao.

Everything that had happened moved in a blink of an eye, making the surroundings were unable to react. They were able to recognize the signature technique of the Red Rage Bear Mercenary as Chen Lao was shrouded by a bright red flame. Not wasting any time, Chen Lao dashed straightforward toward Fu Tao.

But not only that!

With a good look, they were able to recognize that both of them were in the stalemate!

Their strength and prowess were almost even!

"Hey, look at that." One spectator pointed at Fu Tao's position. But what he pointed was not Fu Tao, but the glittering thing in Fu Tao's surroundings!

"What happened to his body?"

"Don't tell me that man is also capable of a Battle Technique!"

Many were chirping as they watched a battle between an expert! No one would have thought that a sparring between the shield user which was being looked down on by everyone, would end up with a fight between the Battle Technique user!

Unlike the surroundings, Chen Lao didn't even realize it because his consciousness started to become hazy. It was the side effect of his Battle Technique.

Using Battle Technique: Flame-Shrouded Raging Bull had some limitation, for example, it was burdening the user's mind. As long as the user was still below Elemental Warrior stage, he or she wouldn't be able to unleash the full potential of the Battle Technique.

Not only that, but also there was a short time limit before the user used up all of his strength.

Chen Lao, as a Peak Grade Battle Warrior was capable to suppress the side effect of the Battle Technique, but of course, it was only for a few seconds.

As he felt the side effect, Chen Lao's body shone more brightly than before. He was akin to a small sun, illuminating the surroundings along with its pressure.

He must finish this as soon as possible!

"BENEVOLENT SLASH!" The bright flame-shrouded saber was swung down!

The space looked like was torn apart by the flame-shrouded saber. Even many unconsciously took a few steps back because of the pressure exuded by Chen Lao's saber. Not only that, but they also felt the heat that came from Chen Lao's Battle Technique. Some even paled in front of that tyrannical pressure.

It was akin to a tyrant! An angered tyrant who wanted to trample on a mortal!

But there is one exception.

"Yueyue, should we help him?" Xiao Wu turned her head toward Mingyue.

If it was the usual Mingyue, she would give a hand from behind. Similar to what happened before when Mingyue's party was besieged by the combination of four mercenary group, Xiao Wu was tasked to give a subtle help if any of them were in a grave danger.

And this time, Mingyue didn't make any sound, not even to mention making move.

But Mingyue only smiled without reply as she shot her gaze toward the city gate's direction.
