Chapter 12

In the slightly dim bar with very few people a couple sat behind a counter and seemed to be having a very pleasant conversation . At this moment Jessica was already drunk she had said everything that there is to know about the company. Occasionally she would curse the CEO. She however knew nothing about the member's private life. She had asked a couple of times why Calvin asked questions about the company.

Calvin had said it was out of sheer interest.

You know I had a friend as chicky as you are. Jessica was very tipsy at the moment her chocolate brown eyes occasionally closed and her voice was hoarse.

He'll always find a way to make us laugh no matter how tense the group was. He used to day I was rigid for I never laughed at his jokes. It's not that I didn't find it funny it's just I didn't want him to be satisfied.

A group? Calvin asks with an uncertain voice.

Yes a group of four which later became eight. You know we used to have a mother not as in a baby mama she was one of us and the best in the world. Her name was Vera. She'd often feed us. I remember Umi acting all spoiled asking for more chicken and sausages. Umi would always act childish and we'll feed her with toffees and chocolate chips. And Chantel she'll punch without thinking twice.

You know we were fine without the other half however when the boys arrived it's like everything got ruined. Jessica's face express a bit of melancholy.

H.. how? Calvin managed to ask .

A trace of what seemed like guilt flashed across her face yet she continues.

Well you know love issues I guess.

The thing is people fell in love with the wrong people and the wrong people were also interested in other people.

Let's take Umi for example.

She loves Eugene who is the wrong person since he's also interested in someone else and that person is Chantel.

Now we had all separated I wonder how they are doing. She reveals a sad face again.

Calvin couldn't stand the shock. His face was distorted his eyes crystal withtears threatening to fall .

Excuse me I've got to visit the washroom he said in one breath.

After a while Calvin returns from the washroom with red eyes filled with determination howei the next scene shocked him to death Jessica was being carried away by a couple of bulky men she was struggling however the alcohol made her weak.

Calvin felt a punge of regret hit him.

If he hadn't made her drunk she knew Jessica will be able to protect herself.

Without thinking twice he rushes after them to save her.

He had already forgotten the mission assigned to him.
