part 5

Evening was falling. The sky was transiting from light blue to deep blue. It was December, very cold. Some fade sounds of jackals were coming. Even the howling was mesmerizing in those scenes of dark green forests. The sky was about to darkened but it was not darkened yet.

Paul was just inhaling the beauty of evening when she said to him

"I am lady of evening, but I think you like evenings more than I do?"

Paul replied, "The evenings are beautiful than usual here." He further asked her "Should I drop you somewhere? Everything is fading"

She replied "Sure, It will snow in a while."

And you are not dressed up, properly. Get in the car, Miss!" He said.

Paul started the car, she sat inside. He started to drive on the wavy roads.

"What were you doing in the middle of the road, alone?" he asked her with little curiosity.

She replied with a serious face, "I was searching."

"What?"

"My prey" She replied.

He asked with more curiosity, "What do you mean?"

"I am just kidding." She replied, giggling.

"Oh, where do you live?"

"There is a village near the town, i live there. I will show you when we will reach." She replied.

"So, do you live alone?" He asked her.

"Yes"

There was a long silence after this conversation. It started to snow.

White crystals of snow could vaguely be seen in the dark. They had almost reached when she asked instantaneously to stop the car. Paul stopped right there

"Is this where you live?"

"Yes, you can pick me from here in the morning, I will wait" said her.

"Sure, but what is your name, you never mentioned ?" asked Paul.

Her eyes sparked on hearing the questing, she put her hair away from her eyes and then replied with a smirking smile,

"Lanjita!"
