Chapter 50: Happily Ever After

Josie sat in front of the mirror in her room while Molly and Linda pinned white flowers into her hair. White wasn’t usually Josie’s usual choice when it came to clothes; gardening and potion work proved to be quite messy and white clothes didn’t last long around her.

‘Thankfully, I have the day off.’ Josie smiled at her reflection.

The off-the-shoulder style was the right amount of drama that she wanted and the A-line silhouette made her feel like a princess. She was so transfixed on her looks, she barely noticed the conversation carried on by her two mothers. From what she was able to gather, it was something akin to spell substitutions and something about a time when Molly “accidentally” made a new clearing in a forest somewhere that the locals nicknamed The Devil’s Circle.

“Alright!” Linda announced. “We’re all done! What do you think?”
