"What have you done to yourself?" She asked Caroline. Looking at her hair, the dark marks under her eyes, her clothes and the general state of the room.
"Nothing." Caroline replied, defensively. "I….have been busy."
"Busy…" Hayley started to say. "What are you doin…"
"Did you find out where they are?" Caroline asked. "The witch…in London."
"I did." She replied. "Right here in New Orleans, in the witches' cemetery."
Caroline looked at her wedding ring. She was in deep thought.
"Caroline?" Hayley asked. "What's happening? What are you thinking?"
"I have a plan." Caroline stood up. "A plan…"
"What?"
"Come on." She told Hayley. "Let's go.."
"Go?" Hayley looked surprised. "Go where?"
"Just….come on!" She extended a hand. "Let's go."
Hayley took it and Caroline pulled her to her feet.
"Where are we going?"
"To finish what I started." Caroline grabbed her jacket and started to walk out.
"And, what exactly did you start with?" Hayley was afraid to know the answer.
She was truly scared of the increasing influence Klaus had on her. She was scared that if Caroline had more heartbreak she would soon become Klaus. In a lot of ways, both Caroline and Klaus were the same. Klaus once had been the kind, passionate, and happy person like she was.
"Caroline…"
They walked towards the French Quarter and Caroline stopped to talk on the phone.
"Hello…" She said, "Now, could I get Drake on the line."
Hayley listened, though she had no idea who was on the other side of the phone.
"Yes…Drake." Caroline said, "Come to the cemetery. And, the same deal as before. But, this time you spill it….Each and every drop on the witches soil."
"What was that about?" Hayley asked.
"Payback!"
"You can't be serious!" Hayley suddenly understood what Caroline was doing.
"Why the hell not?" Caroline demanded. "They have taken everything from us!"
"I can't…." Hayley stopped. "What about Hope?"
"We'll get her." Caroline said, "I'll get you Hope before I do it. I can promise you that!"
"Ho…"
Caroline entered the witches' cemetery and twenty seven uniformed men entered with her and Hayley. It didn't take long for them to find where the Mikaelsons were.
"God…" Caroline looked away as she saw all of the Mikaelson siblings chained to the walls.
"What happened…."
"There she is." Caroline spotted the baby in a small crib near her.
"Oh my God…"
There she was. Unhurt. She took the baby from the crib.
"Go…Hayley.." Caroline said quickly.
"I can't leave you..!"
"You can." She said, "And you will."
"Caro…."
"Save her." Caroline said, "That's what I want…..That's what they will want."
She motioned to the Mikaelson siblings.
"That's what Klaus would want."
"Okay…" Hayley nodded. "But, I am coming back as soon as I get her in the Bayou."
"Then, I will wait for you." Caroline replied.
Hayley Marshall took Hope and she rushed out of the cemetery. She spotted witches coming gathering around. She zoomed out of the cemetery as fast as she could.
She saw Drake and the other firemen obeying Caroline's orders like robots,
"Well, well, well…" A young blonde woman walked into the cemetery, "If it isn't the girl I wanted to see."
Caroline had just finished unchaining Klaus.
"Hey…Come on." She had allowed all of them to drink from her wrist, just enough to wake them up.
"Who are you?" She turned around.
"It's bad manners, Niklaus." The woman replied."Your wife doesn't even know your mother."
"Mother?" Caroline gasped. "You are.....Esther Mikaelson."
"I've been waiting for you,"
"I know." Caroline smiled.
"So, you walked to your death?" She laughed.
"Oh, I don't plan on dying," Caroline watched one of the firemen empty his container and watched the colorless liquid trickle down and come near Esther Mikaelsons' feet.
