Answers and Truths.

"Yes…" She told him. "Of course.."

"I think, then, this belongs to you." He took out the box, taking the ring out.

He took her hand softly, and placed it on her finger.

"Last night didn't go as planned," He murmured.

"Seriously!" Caroline looked at him, "It was amazing!"

He smiled.

"I didn't know how you thought of doing that." She turned to face him, "It was amazing! It was everything I could have imagined….and more."

She stopped,

"Except when the witches came." She laughed, "But until then everything was magical."

Klaus laughed at the irony of her words.

"Even when you slipped and fell in the lake?"

"Even when I slipped and fell in the lake!"

She closed her eyes, laid back, her head on his shoulder.

"And while we are on the subject of getting married." He started to say, "I heard something about a unification ceremony."

"I was going to tell you about that." She sat straighter. "I swear I was going to ask…"

Klaus grinned.

"I don't care, Caroline." He laughed. "As long as I get you."

She smiled.

"I love you, Klaus Mikaelson."

Caroline Forbes and Klaus Mikaelson were informed by Mary that both of them had to perform a number of rituals and tests.

"You have to tell the truth about everything." Mary had told them. "And if you are dreading to tell something you better let it out now."

Caroline sighed.

"Okay.." She looked at him. "I don't think I have any secrets except for this one."

She looked from Klaus to the lake. Her feet dipped in the water, her shoes sitting on the side.

"Tell me…" He was impatient.

"I never told who I killed to transition." She closed her eyes. "I swore I would kill Hayley if she ever told you this."

He waited.

"You remember the night Hope was born, and Hayley was taken by the witches." Caroline opened her eyes. "And you told me to find the red headed witch…"

"Genevieve?" Klaus remembered.

She nodded,

"And there I was, in the Bayou...telling the firemen to wait for my queue."

"The what?" Klaus was confused. "What firemen?"

"How do you think I got the witches to tell me where Hayley was?" Caroline demanded.

"How?" He demanded back.

"I told Agnes that I was going to burn the cemetery down?" She looked as if it was obvious. "I thought to do it Mikaelson style for the Mikaelson baby."

He laughed.

"No ancestors….no magic," He murmured, "Very nice work."

"So, I find Hayley in the Bayou, in the cabin, the witches." She continued. "And Genenvieve is there, she stood in front of me, and she told me that she was the one who took Hayley."

She sighed,

"I felt so angry." She told him, "She told me that she was helping you, eliminating the one thing Klaus Mikaelson had weakened down for."

His eyes pierced into hers.

"I felt this rage…I felt what I think you feel." She smiled for a brief moment, "And then...when she said, she liked you."

Klaus was baffled, he didn't know where she was going.

"I think that was the moment I knew I couldn't let anyone else be in your life."

Klaus's jaw dropped.

"You...And you.." He couldn't finish the sentence.

"I killed Genevieve." She nodded, "Out of pure hatred and jealousy."

Klaus was shocked.

"I was never going…"

She didn't complete her sentence, because she couldn't get a chance. He kissed her.

"I love you, Caroline." His eyes pierced into hers. His

face was only a few inches away from her.

"And….." His face broke into a mischievous grin, "Jealousy is a good look on you, love."

"Klaus..I…" She huffed, pulling her hand out of his grip.

"Caroline…" He laughed, "Love…."

She stopped for a moment, her serious face broke into a laugh.

He smiled as wide as he could, as he saw Caroline starting to walk out of the Bayou. He followed her.

The tests weren't difficult as they moved further. Caroline eased in, and became happy because her and Klaus's bond became stronger than ever.

She felt the decision of marrying Klaus was one of the best she ever made.

Six days after the last test, Klaus Mikaelson arranged the wedding like no one in New Orleans had ever seen.
