BEGINS!

It's the next day, I get up to see the boy still fast asleep beside me. I get up slowly and stretch my muscles and sigh happily, it has been so long since I have slept on an actual and comfortable bed. I see my scroll vibrate so I open it and see a message Ozpin sent.

Ozpin: 'I hope you have awoken already Dominus, just letting you know that the initiation starts at 8 on the mark so please don't come late. And if you need food, the floor below you is the professor's cafeteria. Take whatever you want in there, both for you and your child.'

Dominus: 'Alright Ozpin, thanks for not making me ask'

I reply before closing the scroll and getting my blades on my back. I leave the boy in the room and go to the 11th floor. As I arrive, the doors open and the whole floor is the cafeteria and it was full of other teachers of all different sizes and ages.

Some of them waved at me and greeted me while others just carried on with their business. I get my food and look for a table to sit. I see that there's one at the corner of the room with no one sitting on it so I choose that seat, I will have to socialize later probably maybe, but for now I'll just be alone.

I begin eating and not long after, two professors came and sat on the seat in front of me. One has grey hair and mustache while the other one has messy green hair along with a pair of round glasses.

"Do you mind if we sit here?" The grey haired one asks.

"No I don't" I answer simply before going back to eating my food.

"*clears throat* Well it's nice to meet you Dominus, it's been some time since Beacon has had a new proffesor. My name's Peter Port but you can just call me Port for short." Port says.

"And I'm Bartholomew Oobleck or Oobleck for short, it is a pleasure meeting you Dominus." Oobleck says.

"Nice meeting you both, I hope we can get along well. And I have a question for you, how difficult was the teacher's initiation?" I ask just out of curiosity.

"It was quite challenging, but nothing I couldn't handle." Port says before doing a hearty laugh.

"The same on my side, but usually we are informed a few days prior that a there will be a new professor but in your case it was a surprise, so you must have done something to catch Ozpin's eye. So based on that knowledge, I am going to assume that your initiation will be much more difficult than ours. And why do you ask? just curious." Oobleck says.

"Just wanting to know if it's going to be difficult or not, because I'm looking for a challenge" I answer.

"You must be very confident in your abilities then, I like it!" Port says.

"Oh I am indeed, well it's 15 minutes before I need to be at the launch pad so I'm going to cut this short" I say before quickly finishing the rest of my meal and wave them goodbye as I leave. I go up to check on the boy and he's already up so I take him with me.

"Is it already time dad?" He asks.

"Yes it is, boy. This shouldn't take more than an hour or two depending on what I have to do." I answer.

"Well be safe ok?" He says hugging my arm.

"Don't worry boy, I'll be just fine, you can take my word for it." I say ruffling his hair.

We arrive at the first floor and it's bustling with students of all years. Most of them wave at me as I make my way through the amphitheater and into the launch area. I see Ozpin and Glynda waiting for me there.

"Good morning Mr. Dominus, I'm glad you could make it in time" Ozpin says.

"Well I don't like being late, and can you keep watch of the boy while I'm doing this?" I ask.

"It's no problem at all" He says.

"Good, and if you do ANYTHING to him... well lets just say it won't end well for you." I say releasing a thick aura of killing intent.

"Y-yes I u-undersantd completely, c-could you p-please let it o-off now? G-Glynda is having t-trouble breathing." He says as he fails to keep himself composed.

I let if off and Glnyda fasll onto her knees panting, and Ozpin isn't that much better, he's barely standing and breathing hard. I stand on the pad and wait for me to get launched.

"G-good luck Mr. Dominus, and a tip, grimm are attracted to negative emotions." He says with a little stutter.

I nod then launch high and far into the sky. The cliff gets smaller and smaller before I focus ahead of me. I see one of those giant birds, so I take out my blades and throw them at it. And they connect making the bird screech in pain before flying faster trying to get me to fall but that isn't going to happen.

I slowly pull myself closer and closer until I got onto its back. I then stab the back of its neck making it screech again but louder this time. It rolls and dips trying all it can to shake me off but I'm not going anywhere. I cut one of its wings and it loses altitude quickly, as I get a good grip I cut off its other wing too so now it is plummeting to the ground at a fast pace. I stay on its back and as it smashes into the ground my blades lodge themselves deeper into the already dying creature killing it and making it evaporate into smoke.

Now let me see if what Ozpin said was true. I close my eyes and bring out memories I despise of from the pass, as a result I let out a lot of anger. And not long after doing this I hear lots of loud thumping. And before I know it, I'm now surrounded by grimm. Now this is what I'm talking about.

I look around me and I see many variations of these creatures, some wolves, some bears, some giant snakes, some giant scorpions, some even cyclopes and many many more. I do not waste any time as I charge ahead of me into the horde.

I jump and cut off a stinger before stomping on them killing a scorpion and before the stinger can dissolve, I hook it with my blades and spun it around myself killing all the weaklings of the horde. As the stinger dissipates I stop a charge from a bigger than usual grimm, the wolf variant. It pushes me back a few steps before I throw it over me and into the ground. Before it can get up, I keep its mouth open and tear out its large and sharp fangs before stabbing one of them into its brain through its mouth.

I throw the remaining fangs at the grimm killing a few of them. Then the cyclopes both charge at me from both sides. I wait until the throw their punches before rolling out the way causing them to hit each other.

Since they are stunned I run to the one on my left and run up its arm while stabbing it a few times. I then stab my blades deep into its eye and jump down before pulling on it. It struggles but it is useless as I pull out both its eye and brain killing it.

The other one finally regains its senses but I quickly jump and punch it in its chest sending it back into a rock. It roars and charges at me, and I charge at it myself. It tries to catch me but I slide under between its legs while also cutting the inside and the backside as I made it to the other side rendering its feet useless.

With its own momentum it falls forward face first into the ground. I don't give it a chance to get up as I hop onto its back and stomp its head down. I then slice from the back of its neck to its front completely severing its head and making it disappear.

It looks like that's a lot of them in the area killed. I begin to walk in a direction again trying to find my objective which I assume to be getting a relic. I explore more while killing some weaklings on the way before I stumble across a giant cave entrance. I might as well explore it, who knows maybe the relic is inside.

I enter it and instantly my instincts sense danger, I quickly get my blades out and get my guard up as I walk cautiously deeper into the cave. Suddenly I hear a loud and deep voice with a rough tone,

"Human, you dare enter my domain?" Something says from deep within the cave.

"And what of it?" I ask back.

"If you take another step forward, I will not hesitate to end your miserable life" It says as dark crimson red eyes appear in the pitch black darkness.

"It is I that will end your life." I say as I take another step forward.

"Then you are a fool to think so!" It shouts before the ground begins to shake and it charges at me.

I quickly make an 'X' with my blades and it launches me outside the cave through some trees. I get up and as it gets into the light I can see it better now. It's a few meters taller than me and it's walking on four legs. The back legs have giant claws while the front legs are more like arms and their claws aren't as big but they definitely look more dangerous as red markings are running across on all of them up the creature's front arms.

Going up the front arms there are more markings and some fur behind its elbows. It has bits of bone armor on its shoulder and I can see bone spikes running down its back with each of them looking extremely sharp. It has a lot of fur around its neck, and its mask has red swivels for eyes and has four horns on it. The front two are shaped like curved blades while the back horns are like horns from a ram, all four of these horns has red markings on it as well.

There is also fur coming out of both sides of its head and are shaped almost like wings but not exactly. And on top of all of that, it's emitting a black smoke on the back of its body. Now this looks like it'll be a challenge.

"Well come on then, you want me to come to you? You lazy ass." I say taunting it and it succeeded as the creature shouts in anger and charges at me.

This time I'm prepared as I roll to the side and duck under its hand that was swiping at me. I give a quick slice to the hand as I was under it which didn't hinder it at all as it just turns around and circles me. It circles around fast enough that I am surrounded by smoke and have to be ready to get attacked from any direction.

It comes out of the smoke lunging at me from my right. I quickly face it and stab its chest before throwing it back into the smoke. This repeats for three more times before it has had enough. I hear an annoyed growl and I quickly smash a boulder that was aimed right at my face. But the creature was right behind that boulder, and since I was still mid swing the creature manages to swipe its claws at my face launching me away.

My aura flared as it protects me from the damage but I can feel it getting weaker, but that doesn't bother to me, I can do this fight even without it. We charge at each other again and it swipes at me again but I quickly dash forward getting to the inner side of the claw. And with its own momentum, I swing it over my shoulders and slam it into the ground.

I grab its head before smashing it into the ground many times. I also give deep cuts all around its body before picking it up and throwing it against a rock. As it impacted, the rock almost breaks with lots of cracks in it. I walk over to the creature and look up at it and it looks down at me while it's extremely injured and exhausted.

"It.. seems you have.. bested me. My only wish.. is to make my death quick." It says looking at you.

"You are an honorable foe, I will give you that. And because of that I have an offer for you." I say which piques its interest.

"... I'm listening" It says.

"I will give you mana to heal yourself but you are to be loyal to me and me only" I say.

To say it was shocked would be an understatement, "You're letting me live?" It asks in disbelief.

"Only if you swear your loyalty to me" I say.

It thinks for a moment before answering, "I accept, I have lived for far too long to die now, I will swear my loyalty to you."

"Excellent, now get ready" I say getting my mana out and is about to give it to the creature but it stops me.

"Wait, aren't you going to say the chant to make a pact with me?" It questions.

I stop what I was doing and look at it, "What chant?" I ask.

"Oh you don't know, but that makes considering that that knowledge has been lost hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Alright all you have to say is "I 'your name' make a pact with 'what name you pick for me' and may we be bonded by our flesh and soul until the end of time" and then you put your mana into me" It explains.

I nod and think of an appropriate name for it before saying the chant, "I Kratos make a pact with Ker and may we be bonded by our flesh and soul until the end of time." And I inject my mana into what I have named Ker.

Soon I feel a connection being formed with it and its wounds are healing at a quick rate. Not long after it is back on its feet, "I thank you for sparing me Lord Kratos" it says kneeling down.

"Please just call me Kratos, I have been called lord too many times" I say and it nods.

"So what do is your plan now Kratos?" It asks.

"I'm actually on a mission to find a relic and bring it back, and do you think you can shrink yourself down to about my height? You'll attract too much attention" I say.

"Of course." Was all it said before it shrinks down to my height just like I said.

"Thats better, now anything else you can do that you want to tell me about?" I ask it.

"Other than shrinking, I learnt that I can go inside shadows and I get stronger every time I kill another grimm or human. I may have more powers but I don't know about them." It says.

Well that shadow ability will be useful for spying on people. Alright now it's time to search for the relic again but this time with company. I start walking in a direction and Ker quickly follows me. "Now tell me Ker, why is a grimm like you able to talk? From what I've seen they're just mindless beasts with only natural instinct." I ask.

"Well you see, I from the day that I was created by 'Her' I was the same like all the common grimm you see, but over time I grew wiser and started learning the human language bit by bit. The progress was slow but give it a year and I have learnt it enough to be able to make a conversation, not that I had anyone to converse with. Well that's until you came along and beat my ass into the ground." He explained.

"I see, and hey look I can see a ruin. That's probably where I'm supposed to get my relic." I say pointing to it.

Ker took the initiative to run over to it and grab it before handing it to me, I thanked him and looked at the so called 'relic'. It was a chess piece as Ozpin called it in his speech, and mine was golden unlike the others which were black and white. I kept it and we head back in the general direction of the cliff.

"And also Ker, who do you mean my 'Her'?" I ask.

"You don't know this too? How much information has been lost in time I wonder. But to answer your question, Salem is the queen of the grimm and she is immortal which makes her basically a god. She makes grimm pools in her lands creating whatever monstrosity she wishes. And as I grew older I managed to cut off my connection to her completely giving myself complete control over my actions." He answers.

"Hmph, a god huh? Even gods can be killed, it's just no one strong enough has appeared yet." I say.

"You say that like you're talking from experience." He says curious.

"That's because I am, I have killed many gods before now" I say serious.

"And I shall not doubt you. Well that's no surprise I lost to you then, I was literally facing a god killer." He says.

"Indeed, now let us hurry. There is not benefit of staying here for too long." I say and he nods as we increase our pace.

(Small timeskip)

We have reached the cliff again and Ker was about to climb it but I stop him, "You will not climb this, just get into my shadow" I say and he does so quickly.

I quickly use my blades to too hook onto the cliff and fling myself upwards. I land and I see the faces of Glynda and Ozpin. Ozpin has a look of shock on his face while Glynda looks at you with a face of bewilderment.

"What?" I ask.

"What? What!?! You just neutralized an ancient gunrai that would give three or more teams of hunters a hellish time and you just defeated it solo, that's fucking what!!" Glynda snaps.

"That was an extremely impressive feat you just accomplished Mr. Dominus, nobody in the history of mankind has ever accomplished such an achievement. I truly congratulate you and extremely glad that you are on our side. Now let us head back to the amphitheater shall we, I'm sure the students are eagerly awaiting your return." Ozpin says.

I nod and we all start walking back, and the boy wanted me to lift him so I did.

"You were amazing dad!" He exclaims in amazement.

"Hehe, of course I was" You say with a smile.
