Dan

In the somewhat damaged kitchen, caused by the battle, Emili is searching for some ingredients. She looks through the shelves, careful not to hurt herself from the broken wood and glass on the floor.

The sun shines a light into the room through the small cracks on the ceiling which were caused by the attack.

Emili looks around and sighs. She starts worrying about what to do because there is a lot of dust and the eggs are already cracked. She hesitates a bit and thinks about what to do without the proper ingredients.

Just then, Ken walks in with a bunch of tools and wood.

"Emili! I didn't expect you to be here. I thought you were on your way to deliver her food."

"Hey, Dad. She happened to wake up when I was bringing the food to her. I wanted to make something special for her to eat but..."

Ken chuckles. "Well, you can't make anything in a situation like this. I'm afraid all the materials have been destroyed."

"I was hoping there would still be something that's good," Emili says as she proceeds to sigh.

Emili grabs all the ingredients and throws them in a garbage bag. She carries the garbage bag outside and leaves it outside where the other pile of garbage is stacked at.

Many houses are damaged, including Emili's house, and some have collapsed because of the attack from the Defus.

"Ugh, it's starting to smell out here," she says as she covers her nose. "I better get back in before I die from this nasty smell.

Just then she hears someone calling her name. Emili turns around and sees Dan and Jek. She rushes over to them and says hello.

"Are you guys alright? Are you hurt anywhere? You have to tell me! No...actually, I'll check for myself. Put your hands up Dan!"

"Great. It's starting already, huh. The lovey-dovey moments" Jek says unamused.

Dan and Emili blush.

"Wait, Emili! I'm fine. I really am fine! The Defus couldn't even hurt us. Jek was even able to slay 100 of them in a minute! Right, Jek?"

"Wow, so now you believe me? Didn't you roll your eyes and walk away without saying anything when I first told you that?"

Emili touches Dan's hands and waist and looks around.

"Don't lie! Are you hurt here? Is it a really bad wound? Oh no, I'll have to call a Medic--no, a Healer! Wait here, Dan! I'll be right back-"

Dan grabs Emili's hand just as she's about to leave. "No! I'm completely fine! Besides, we have medics already. I made sure to go to the Medics for a checkup twice-no three times so you don't have to worry about me!"

"Then why did you not let me check to see if you were injured!"

Dan blushes and looks down. "Well...you know...It's embarrassing for you to tou- I- I'm fine! I'm really fine."

"What about you though? Are you alright? I know how scared you are about those Defus. Did you manage to get to the shelter safely?" Dan says looking at Emili straight in the eyes.

"Ah, here it is. The lame couple scenes. I worry you, you worry me~ I guess no one cares about me. Tsk," Jek says feeling left out.

"I'm fine," Emili says looking a little uneasy. "But parts of the house are broken so it'll take some time for Dad to fix it up."

"Those bastards...Don't worry Emili. I'll come by to help. My house was far away from the explosions so the house and my family should be safe. Although I have to go see them first, I'll be back. Jek can help too while I'm gone."

"What? So now I'm involved in your conversation?"

Dan checks the time.

"I think I can get back here in two hours or so if I ride fast. Can you wait for me until then?"

"No! You can get into an accident if you ride too fast. Just go normal speed. I'll wait here for you. Just please stay safe."

Dan smiles and says "Alright." He gets on his horse and says his farewells.

"I'll come back before the sun sets!"

"Okay. I'll be waiting. I won't forgive you if you hurt yourself!"

Dan smiles and his cheeks become red. Dan and Emili stare at each other for a whole minute before Dan departs. Emili looks from afar as Dan slowly disappears from her sight.

"Well, I guess it's time to head back inside," Emili says once Dan is not in her view anymore.

"So no one cares about how I feel??? I'm still here!! Stop treating me like I'm invisible! Ugh, whatever."

Jek follows Emili after getting left behind by Dan.
