A foreign place

Kira woke up in a massive bed, the room seemed strange to her she struggled remembering what happened yesterday but after the dude had asked for her hand everything was blank.

getting out of the massive bed jumping down to the floor, who would have thought a bed could be so massive she looked around, everything was polished marble, at the left side was a full size mirror and a wardrobe with dresses of pretty much every style imaginable.

heading to the mirror she was not really surprised by what she saw, she looked absolutely hammered and her hair was a mess, brushing it through with her fingers a few times to try to get it just a bit less messy, seeing she was now in a night gown she decided to help herself to the wardrobe, looking at all the dresses you would think the room belonged to a medieval princess, grabbing a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a comfortable hoodie, she was arguing with herself if she should grab one of the bras weirdly enough there was bras in practically every size, thinking for a bit she ended up snatching a bra her size and got dressed.

Heading towards the door she came past a window, and looking outside everything seemed strange, it couldn't be described as day or night but something in between with a reddish hue

shaking her head she headed for the door but before she could reach it, a timid brown haired girl in a maid uniform opened the door.

seeing Kira so close she panicked and bowed deeply.

"I was sent to help the princess getting ready for dinner"

Kira raised a brow in confusion until the rest of the events from the evening before suddenly came flooding back to her, no way, there is absolutely no way she let herself sucker into that hidden camera show.

giving the little girl dressed as a maid a slight frown.

"Thanks for your gesture but didn't I make myself Clear yesterday I really am not in the mood for any hidden camera bullshit"

The girl looked like Kira had just slapped her, feeling guilty Kira corrected herself.

"Sorry you're just doing the job you were hired to do, but I didn't concent to being a part of this"

looking slightly confused for a moment the maid perked up.

"my lady, while you are indeed right i don't think anyone consents to which way they are born, I myself came existence in the void steppes and only recently gained a sense of self and intelligence, I'm still weak but I'm doing the best with the cards I've been dealt, I'm not saying I can relate to your situation but it should be in all of our nature's to fight to obtain the strength so we can claim that of which we desire"

Kira didn't expect to get philosophical all of a sudden but deciding to humor the girl she decided to just nod along, while she was being led from one corridor to another, it was hard to grasp the scale of this building it had to either be a mansion or castle, they really went all out with the budget for this Kira thought to herself.

finally they stopped before a door, and the maid stopped and bowed politely indicating Kira should move on through, upon opening the door the first thing she saw was the Super star siblings from yesterday and everything finally made sense, Ofcouese she was the sucker they had been seeking for their next project, what is it with famous rich bastards and complete lack of respect for the common person, sure she wasn't as rich nor as pretty but it didn't mean they could toy with her.

before she could say a thing they immediately knelt before her.

"Please punish us for negligence, we failed to protect you and even though you provided us multiple life signs did we dismiss it, and not before our queen demanded we spend more time investigating thoroughly did we find you, our incompetence knows no bounds"

Both Desmond and Ash said in perfect unison, it felt almost eerie.

Frowning, Kira had enough.

"Pretty rich kids, enough of your games, I'm done with your bullshit and I want no part in whatever production this is, your act is commendable and you certainly did your best to sucker me in, but I'm not that desperate, hell I wouldn't even be surprised you had part of getting me fired with what was properly a handsome donation based on the timing, but you know what, I'm not that desperate and that easily suckered into your chappy production if you would kindly just get me home so I can sort the rest of the mess of my life in piece and find another person it would be most appreciated.

both siblings looked at each other rather confused,

"Your highness is there a reason you're currently using illusions to appear like demonic seals human illusion?"

Frowning even more Kira didn't know how to react these idiots seemed insistent on sticking with their stupid magical demon theme.

"Are you seriously attempting to just bait me into playing along and deleting anything I say about not wanting part of this?"

The siblings once again looked at each other.

this time Desmond spoke up in an extremely calm manner.

"please princess allow me to get this right You're speaking to us in demonic tongue, and seriously claiming to be a lowly human, furthermore do you desire to not be part of a film show but just desire to get back into the sad life you led with none of the lowly humans treating you with the respect you deserve

I'm a bit confused I understand is you genuinely believe yourself to be human, the cursed seal and the life you led up until now makes that a logical side effect.

Your desire to get back into what you know have some semblance of logic as what you desire is likely to once again feel in control of your own life.

but where or what does this have to do with a movie, there is no human actors, or filming devices here, besides what would we stand to gain from filming the princess for human entertainment."

Cold sweat ran down Kiras back, she hadn't even considered the idea that this wasn't a movie stunt.

but in reality they were rich kids who truly had disillusioned themselves into believing they were demons and she was their long lost princess.

That was suddenly a much more scary thought, as that turned this into an outright abduction.

Kira very quickly lost a lot of her prior bravado.

"Well I'm sure that you are absolutely wonderful loyal demons, all that I'm requesting is simply as you said to be brought back to my own apartment and live my quiet life, I'm sure you have plenty of other more important demon business to attend to than looking after me"

"NO!"

Both siblings shouted in unison

"We know we have no right after our failure but please don't discard us, please at the very least allow us follow you and do the job we swore to do"

suddenly the prettiest voice Kira had ever heard chimed out from behind the siblings.

"Is it really that unpleasant to be around your kin, that you would rather return the unliveable hole they call a flat"

She somehow sounded extremely sad at the idea that Kira couldn't stand being around them.

glancing behind the twin, Kira saw the prettiest woman she had ever seen in her life, she was a fox lady with 9 tails behind her, the costume looked so natural on the woman that it was likely part of her charm, the weird part was something deep in her felt pulled towards the woman.

Both the siblings immediately moved out of the way and bowed, while the woman got closer to Kira.

After they had stood awkwardly across each other.

"What a cruel fate, I am finally re united yet you don't seem to recognise me, while your illusion really could use some work am I assuming it is another step to spite me, distancing yourself from even looking like me, while I forgive and understand the reasoning am I selfish enough to atleast demand you dismiss that foolish illusion in front of me, atleast allow me to see you as you are even if you reject me"

Kiras heart couldn't help but hurt for the lady in front of her, did she perhaps look like someone they had lost, and this was them playing out their denial.

The lady in front seemed to expect something of her but aftet a bit frowned

"This was not a request but a demand, if you won't dismiss it yourself I will do it for you, I deserve to at the very least see what my daughter looks like before you hide away in the mundane realm pretending to be human, hopefully you will grow tired of it either when you accidentally kill someone due to hunger or you outlive them"

wow this lady was truly something unique, grief is a horrible thing.

but before she could get her thoughts straight she felt like someone attacked her insides, it was hard to explain it was like some internal part of her got wrestled out of her own control and the burning sensation from yesterday returned while she fell to the floor.

the Lady hadn't moved, but simply made a hand gesture slowly getting back on her feet she noticed her clothes wasn't fitting they were way too large, she didn't have time to say or do anything.

before the lady rushed her and picked her up and hugged her, crying.

"I know you can't forgive me, I'm so sorry sweetie I will respect your choices for your life but I will never ever loose you again!"

Kira felt rather shocked, not only had she shrunk, she was feeling an instinctive pull towards her but it was hard ridding herself of her logical side telling her she is likely being mistaken for someone else.

one thing was getting rather clear to her, maybe the whole demon stuff wasn't as fake as she initially thought as the woman's appearance was clearly not a costume, and she had just shrunk.

She was feeling rather odd it was like a weird hunger was starting to eat her up from the insides.

the fox lady looked at her with surprise.

"You've been nourished up to now by the seal while your powers were being held in check, you've only eaten a stray vampire you must be absolutely starved.

Kira gave a gesture showing denial, hunger really wasn't anything new for her, life hadn't always been easy, and she was pretty far from feeling genuinely starved but it was hard to explain the hunger as it felt different.

but she could hardly reject as she was being pulled towards a massive table, and a massive chalice was placed in front of her and filled with a liquid that seemed almost ethereal.

looking at Kira with pride, "liquidised soul, and ofcourse the highest quality for the occasion!"

Kira had a strong urge to just deny it and run, but somehow the drink seemed extremely appealing and fighting her better judgement she ended up drinking all of it in one go.

She could feel how it warmed her up from the inside and gave her energy, it was also extremely delicious, feeling extremely content she leaned back into the chair and found something pushing against her back, grabbing for it she caught what seemed like a big fluffy silver tail, her eyes went wide as saucers the only thought that came to her mind was No way!
