Golden Age 4: ‘Preparing for the Deciding Battle amongst the Unyielding, Relentless Youths!!’ (Part 1)

"Hurry up!!" called Kenzo running towards the dorms. "We are hurrying up your highness~" replied Feng. "Give me a break. Why in the world are we even running in the first place? Can't we just walk?" asked Adam teary-eyed wobbling right and left. Seraph and Cassiel smiled at his sight.

"Yeah, weren't we walking with the high schoolers before? How come did we end up running by ourselves?" asked Ezekiel. Kenzo clicked his tongue annoyed. Helios pointing out his frustration explained, "We have less time in our hands. Since, we challenged Alan tomorrow. We have to rest and practice in this little time allotted to us that's why we're rushing. Got that?" Poseidon nodded.

"Yeah… since, those damn high schoolers have been eating our brains ever since we met them." complained Ryan roiling his eyes. "But they did give us some good information about Alan." remembered Xavier.

"An all-rounder, fast baller with lots of play styles and versatile batting to counter spins of different kinds." Gabriel recalled. "Really a talented person hun… no wonder he was so confident to take us all on." said Heber.

"We'll see when we play against him. To tell the truth. I don't think we are any less superior to him. Since, all of us play differently and unique." said Seraph. Ryan smirked, "That's right… we are never less than him in the first place." The boys looking at each other smiled certain. Kenzo grinning back clicked his fingers once more. "What?" Ryan asked.

Hearing the sound Xavier and Seraph nodded at each other. "You all go first. We'll be right back." Seraph told turning around with Xavier. "Where are you going?' Ryan asked confused.

"Just to take care of something. Don't worry… we'll be right back." Xavier told taking a divergent path from the dorms. "Look! We are back to the dorms." pointed Azazel after a while. "Come on, let's go!" called Kenzo rushing forward as others followed behind.

The highschoolers trading back slowly gazed around. "Say… is something wrong with them? Why did they leave before us?" asked Noah referring to the middle schoolers. "Who knows?" replied Nagi. "Maybe they are brokering and planning an agreement with each other before tomorrow's challenge." he assumed. Ren and Orion stared at him speechless.

"Not everyone is like you." they whispered. "They are a very assuming bunch. I'll go and see what they are up to." Aaron said heading forward. "I'll come as well." Senri and Elias too following behind. "Say Kazuna, did you make up with Alan?" asked Zach. Kazuna nodded.

"Well that's good. And, here I was feeling nervous to what might happen?" sighed Isa in relief. "Pft! Fighting over who's taller. I can't believe it. Haha!" laughed Ren teasingly. Kazuna looked at him annoyed. "I wonder what they might be talking about right now." pondered Aigou gazing at the sky. "Huh?" asked Noah. "Yeah, Rauf, Haruf, Evan and Alan." Aigou continued. "Maybe about the world cup…? Or… about the training?" he assumed. "I think about both of them for some reason." Isa guessed. "Hm… I think so as well." endorsed Zach.

"We'll see about that when they tell us later. However, right now… I am more worried about Alan's health. I wonder if he's feeling alright?" Orion spoke. The boys abruptly stood silent. "Yeah… every time he make's sure to act all cool and well but, who knows what's happening to him inside in the meantime." wondered Nagi.

"I can't help but worry…" Orion sighed. Kazuna looked at him stern. "Since, he challenged the middle schoolers tomorrow I think he'll be fine. Or else, he wouldn't have done that." he assured.

"Yeah… he wouldn't do that if he wasn't in his best condition." Aigou agreed. "Don't worry, I'll inquire Rauf to ask him to get a medical examination. But, I think Rauf already has this in mind." Isa told.

"I hope so…" whispered Noah. Kazuna walking forward grasped the sight of the approaching dorms making his way silently towards it. The boys gazed at him back in wonder. "I think he is worried about Alan a hundred times much more than we are, since, they both are best partners." said Nagi as the others nodded.

"Come on, hurry up!" called Kenzo rushing inside the lounge room. "I think you are hurrying way too much. Calm down a little you ordering freak!" Ryan taunted cross. "Ah… you're back?" asked Damian as the boys rushed past by ignoring him. "Huh? What's wrong with them now?" asked Christopher puzzled. "Close down the curtains! Set up the sheets!" Kenzo ordered sitting on the sofa leisurely while the others worked.

Ryan eyed him annoyed. "Hey! You should work as well!! Don't keep ordering us around out of nowhere while you sit there comfortably. You idiotic king!!" angered Adam keeping the pillows around. "Huh? Why should this king work? You should be the one's assisting me." Kenzo replied.

Soon Xavier and Seraph too returned back. Looking them bicker Xavier and Poseidon smiled at each other while Helios and Gabriel eyed him annoyed. Cassiel, Azazel, Heber and Feng sighed. "Hey, what in the world is happening?" asked Mikael clueless.

"It might be one of our king's orders." Faris teased. Soon the lounge in the center was covered dark. Not even a single ray of light was to be seen passing amid the curtains. The sheets were spread and the pillows were assembled. "Come on! Let's sleep everyone." stated Xavier caringly.

"Where did you go, Seraph?" asked Adam curiously. "Just to get something ready. Don't worry. Let's go." Seraph replied patting his head as the two of them laid on the floor side by side. "Ah… my back…" Adam cried rolling right and left. The boys laying down one by one soon slept in a peculiar ordering fashion. "You guys should sleep in your rooms…" Damian murmured in disbelief.

"Sorry, we don't have time for that." Replied Ryan as he turned around pushing Adam who was continuously moving haphazardly beside him. "Move over there a little!" he angered. Adam puffing his cheeks argued back, "I am moving over there, should I squash Seraph?!"

Seraph laughed awkwardly, "I don't think it's that bad…" "That is why we are telling you to sleep in your dorms." Aryan sighed. "Shh… Poseidon and Azazel are already asleep and Xavier as well." Told Helios looking over. "Um… I am still awake." Xavier spoke. "Huh? Where are you?" asked Heber looking on the floor below from the couch. "Below King Kenzo's couch…" Xavier responded.

Kenzo looking down from the couch gazed at Xavier who was secretly reading a book with a tiny torchlight under his sheets. "What in the world are you doing?" he asked pissed, removing the cover over his head. "Um… just reading until I sleep?" Xavier replied with an angelic beam. Kenzo stared at him wordless for a moment suddenly snatching the book from his hand.

"Sleep! How dare you disobey this king's orders?" he asked cross. "Ah…" Xavier murmured disappointed. "He is right Xavier, you better rest first." Helios endorsed. Xavier smiled taking a deep breath, "Alright…" Laying down he turned towards his right smiling at Feng and Ryan who stared back at him nodding.

"Xavier… don't think about anything. Just sleep." Told Kenzo from above. "Yes…" Xavier replied staring at his hands. "And, you lot!" pointed Kenzo sitting up. "Make sure those highschoolers don't create a mess once they arrive here. Tell them to stay shut! Moreover, ask Silas to set an alarm for 7 pm sharp. Got that?" he ordered.

"Alright. Your highness." Damian replied with a sigh. "Before that, tell me what's going on?" asked Xander putting blankets over Adam and the others.
