King of The Dead

I used to think that death was in the end. I was wrong. Death is not the end, just another beginning. Reborn in a strange and familiar world, Adrian Klein should have been dead, his body rotting, but he has found himself in a completely new existence. Now as a god instead of a human, he must find his new place in the world. ~~~ I do not own the image. If you are the one who owns it, please tell me and I will take it down. This story is a fuse fic of the god of war saga plus overall Greek mythology with the world of DC, particularly its more mythological and divine parts. I own neither of them. The only thing I own is my OCs.

Future Things To Come

"Jonathan, be careful," Martha Kent said worriedly to her husband, Jonathan Kent.

"Don't worry Martha, I am just going to check the meteor. " They had seen the falling meteor when they were returning home, and it had fallen fairly close to where they were, so Jonathan headed where it fell and check what it was. Who knows, maybe it was something valuable?

But when he took the look upon the crater, he saw nothing there, which was kind of disappointing.

"Did you find something?" Martha said as he got back in the car.

"Nah, there was nothing there. Someone must have arrived first and snatched it"

His wife frowned before smiling and saying. "Well, we don't need a space rock, do we? The farm is going very well and those investments you made have earned us quite money, didn't they?"

Jonathan nodded. Their situation was better than he could have imagined. In fact, he was already planning on expanding the farm. But as he drove back home with his lovely wife, he couldn't get the feeling that he should have found something in the crater.

POV Shift

"Hello there Kael," Hades said looking at the infant Kryptonian, that he had... well not stolen more 'got there first'.

Superman is without a doubt amongst the most broken superheros to have ever been created. So naturally Hades had to get his hands upon him and the power that he wielded, to mould him into not only his weapon but also his loyal herald.

Besides, his wives and children would like the fresh addition to their family. He was sure of that.

Appa Ali Apsa had lived for a very long time. After all, he was part of the Guardians of the Universe who themselves were part of the already long-lived race known as the Maltusians, even though they had long since forsaken anything that had bound them to the past.

Or at least that is what he thought, and as he stared at Ganthet, the traitor, Appa allowed himself to feel hatred. "Traitor! Do you have any idea what you just did, allowing HIM access to both entities?!"

Ganthet did not look sorrowful or enraged. In fact, he looked disappointed, which only made Appa feel more anger. After all, how dare he have that look when he was the one in the wrong and not him!

Ganthet shook his head. That you can't see your own failures only makes this worse, Appa. I warned you and the others to not wage war on the Noxian Empire, but what did you do? You went to war and started the War of Light. Events which could have been stopped are now in motion and now we can only prepare for the Eternal Night"

Appa scoffed, his hatred growing in size. "All I am hearing is not but justifications founded upon fear. The Blackest Night is nothing but a mad prophet ramblings. You have clung yourself to your emotions and allowed instinct to override your logic!"

Instead of frowning or spilling hate filled speeches, Ganthet only nodded. "Indeed Appa, I am afraid, afraid what will happen if we fail, afraid what will happen if IT succeeds. " Ganthet look changed and where was disappointment now turned furious.

Appa would forever deny that Ganthet's look at him made him afraid as he raised his hands and uttered the last words he would ever say in this life. "And when you went to war, you and the others knew I wouldn't agree, so you tried to make me complaint, by sealing away my emotions. Even with that crime you and the others arranged, I could have forgiven all of you, maybe, after a few billion years. But then you all tried to do the same to Sayd, and I knew then at that exact moment that the brothers and sisters I trusted were now dead and you were all simply wearing their skin. Goodbye Guardian of the Universe Appa Ali Apsa. May we never meet again."

There was a flash of green, a burning sensation that spread across his body, and the Guardian knew no more.

"You have endured much Acolyte." The Voice spoke the young man in front of him. "You came to us seeking guidance to your troubled heart, to search methods to deliver your vengeance upon the one who took the childish innocence of the warm provided by a Mother and Father. And we have delivered it. You are now strong, smarter, and more agile than before, thanks to us." The Voice paused in his speech, clearly waiting for the Acolyte to speak.

"And I am eternally grateful for it," The Acolyte said.

The Voice nodded, having sensed that the gratitude was genuine. "Then, do you accept the vow and rules laid down by the Court?"

"Yes"

"Then rise not as Acolyte but as true Master of Shadows. Rise... Bruce Wayne"

"Do you really think you can hide us from him?" Angela Roth questioned, holding tight the bundle which held her literal half-demon spawn.

"Without a doubt, I helped create the interdimensional wards of Azarath and they will prevent your daughter's demoniacal energy from being detected. The only way for him to find her would be she called for him," Hades explained.

"That won't happen"

"I know, but still monitor her. I shall regular visits to help to get her demoniacal side under control. Believe when I say that she will need the training, for not even Azerath can hide her forever from the gaze of one Hell's Emperors"

"Lord Hades" The immortal kneeled before him.

"Vandar Ahg, my brother is not happy with you." The voice of the Lord of The Dead was something that still brought both fear and awe to Savage, but this was not the time for that.

"I know. I destroyed his proud city, after all. But know this, Lord Hades, I had no other choice." Those words sounded hollow even in his own ears, but there was a certain bitter truth.

"I know." His words brought visible shock to Savage, and then he continued to speak. "I couldn't interfere without causing a cosmical war with the Lords of Chaos, even if I know that the Lords of Order would support my case, the Eath would be devastated and the war would make humanity virtually extinct. So believe or not, Savage, your plan was the one that brought the least loss of life."

The Olympian God's explanation brought a new sense of understanding to Savage. He had grown bitter that the gods did not rise up against Klarion, but now he saw that their interference would only escalate the conflict to levels he could barely even think about.

Finally, he sighed and said. "I see. What will happen to me now?"

"Poseidon will never let you have peace. He even asked for your death, but I convinced the others and we settled for Exile" Lord Hades explained, and Savage privately thought that his Exile, who he was sure was only temporary, was only because the King of The Underworld controlled most of the Olympian Council. "You will go to the lands located in the Southeast from here and there. You shall find your new purpose"

"Very well," Savage said as the Olympian God, consumed by the Shadows. Then he rose and started walking. He knew the lands which the God had spoken of they were nothing compared to Atlantis but he could make do.

This chapter is a series of previews that will happen in the future. Many of them will take a long time to appear, while one is very close. I can't promise where the *actual* update is going to appear, as I am having a bit of a writer's block.
