Forgiveness

I felt suffocated, I quickly pushed my chair away and left. Exiting the cafe, I didn't know what to do next. My body found its way back to the inn where I saw Nadia packing her clothes. I silently gazed at her, and as Nadia noticed my pale face, she came closer. "What happened?"

I looked into her eyes and embraced her, not knowing why. I just wanted to hold her, and she hugged me back, my eyes wet with tears.

We're just unfortunate souls, madly in love.

Her warm and soft body. Her fragrant scent, all I wanted was her and a peaceful life. "I'm sorry," I whispered and released our embrace. "I'll be back soon..."

I transformed into my Alpha form and headed towards the city where yesterday's battle took place. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw the destroyed streets, fallen electric poles, and ruined houses.
