Chapter 7: What?! I'm skinny now?

"Do you want to live?"

"Do you want power?"

"Carry out my will and become my successor"

A familiar voice said

"YES! I WANT POWER! I WANT IMMENSE POWER! TO CONTROL THE WORLD! I WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE WITH NO REGRETS! I DON'T WANT TO BE WEAK AND DIE OF INSIGNIFICANT CAUSES AGAIN!"

"Then inherit my power" the voice said.

Strange symbols 死亡 appeared in his mind. He felt pain envelop his body. His mind flashed with memories. Back from when he was laying in his bed in his past life, dying at age 20 and then reincarnating here in this world. A cultivating technique appeared in his mind. It didn't have a name but it just had this symbol 死亡.

"Now. Awaken my successor!" the voice shouted hoarsely.

Wang Tian felt a sharp pain in his mind and he was forced to awaken because of it.

"OUCH!" he cried out.

"Huh? Where am I?" He said confusedly. He saw a figure looking at him with shock.

The eyes of that figure was constricted and even his mouth was open.

"Father? What's the matter?" Wang Tian asked. Yes, that figure whom was shocked was Wang Gui. Wang Gui was looking over Wang Tian all day when he recently noticed an arrogant, evil and dark aura surround his son. He tried to use his own aura to fight against the evil aura that surrounded Wang Gui but it didn't work. He even coughed up blood! Wang Gui wiped his hands and then looked at Wang Tian anxiously. He didn't dare to do anything rash simply because he felt the power that that aura contained! Even he couldn't stop it! Thus, he could only imagine how powerful this aura was. After a few minutes, the aura that was surrounding Wang Tian slowly entered his son's body.

He widened his mouth in shock and his eyes constricted. 'How could this be?! How can Tian'er absorb that aura! Even I couldn't battle against it! How can my son who's unconscious and has barely entered level 2 absorb the aura.

"Father? What's the matter?" Wang Tian asked for the second time. Wang Gui instantly regained his composure and then said,

"Nothing son, I'm just happy that you're awake now." Wang Gui said. He still couldn't get over what happened. He didn't know if this was a good thing or a bad thing. He could only observe Wang Tian for changes for now. Right now, the only thing that mattered to him was that his son was alive.

Wang Gui hugged his son and said,

"Tian'er you brat! Why did you go so far to the mountains and even fought a Devil Snake?!"

He pulled himself out of their embrace and then smacked the head of Wang Tian. Wang Tian cried out in pain and looked at his father as if he was wronged.

"Father, I was hungry! I didn't have any money! And you didn't leave any food for me to eat!" He answered honestly.

Wang Gui smacked his son's head again and said, "Stupid brat! Use your head! You should've gone to your Uncle Chen's place!".

Wang Gui then sighed and continued, "At least you're okay now."

Noticing that his father was now a bit calm, Wang Tian asked, "Father, what happened after I passed out? What happened to that snake? And how was your visit to the Guest Hall?"

Wang Gui looked at his son and said,

" After I went to the Guest Hall and met the son of the Sect Leader of the Snowy Cloud Sect, he quickly told me that his father wanted me to forge him a weapon and he wanted me to do so in his sect. I was about to agree when I suddenly heard a loud hiss from the mountains. I looked to where the direction was and saw that it was at the mountains near to our house. I instantly thought of you so I bowed down to the son of the Sect Leader of the Snowy Cloud Sect and told him I'm sorry but I have to go check up on my son. He snorted at me but I didn't pay it any attention. The Sect Leader told me that he'll go with me but I told him to stay and accompany the son of the Sect Leader of the Snowy Cloud Sect. I quickly dashed towards the mountains. When I arrived I saw a gigantic Devil Snake. It was screaming in anguish and pain. Its skin and scales were falling off as if it was decaying. It was a very weird sight for me. And then I saw you over there lying on the ground motionless. I quickly rushed to your side I even called out to you but you passed out on me."

Wang Tian fell into deep contemplation. 'So that snake decayed? How was I able to do that? And was it Death who spoke to me at that time? Telling me to move and kill the snake?'

After a few moments Wang Tian regained his composure. Wang Gui observed his son's reaction and then thought to himself, 'he definitely must know what that black aura is. I don't know why, but i feel like he does.' he then teared up and continued, 'My son is growing up! He's got secrets now!'

"Father? Why are you teary-eyed?" Wang Tian asked.

"Nothing son hehe" Wang Gui said awkwardly. He then changed the topic and said, "Tian'er, I will be venturing out of the sect and head towards the Snowy Cloud Sect. It will take at most a month. Do you want to come? Or are you okay with being alone?" Wang Gui looked at Wang Tian hurriedly. Wang Tian got up feeblishly and said, "Father, I'm a big boy now! I even survived an attack from that Snake! Hahaha".

"What? It attacked you? But why are you uninjured?" Wang Gui said.

'oh shit, i may have hehe spoke more than i should have.'

"Yes it attacked me! But I used the technique from the manual and hardened my skin. That Snake was so weak that It couldn't even hurt me hahaha" He said quickly. "Father, can you leave me some money to buy food while you're away?" He changed the topic.

"Of course." Wang Gui said and then he waved his hand. A bag of holding appeared from his own bag of holding.

"Here, put your Qi into this bag of holding to open it." He handed it towards Wang Tian and Wang Tian did what he said. Wang Tian widened his eyes and exclaimed in shock, "Father, the size inside this bag of holding is as big as a small house!"

Wang Gui laughed and then said, "Yes. Look closely and you will be able to find 5 items in there that I have left for you."

'It looks like my son is getting thinner.' he looked at Wang Tian with happiness.

Wang Tian nodded and carefully looked inside the bag of holding using his mind.

"You will be able to see pills, a sword, a teleportation talisman that can teleport you to 10,000 kilometers from you are from, some gold coins and a talisman that can contact me in any way. Use it when you are in danger. It is a one time use." Wang Gui said.

The father and son duo, Wang Gui wnd Wang Tian were the two whom were clad in black. The one wearing the snowy white clothing was the son of the Sect Leader of the Snowy Cloud Sect, Yi Ertong and the last person was Wang Chen. Wang Tian's father and his companions were going to leave today so Wang Tian told his dad that he wanted to bid him farewell. "Goodbye Father!" He said and then waved his hands. "Remember what I told you" Wang Gui replied. Yi Ertong scoffed and then said, "hurry up!". This guy... He was arrogant to the core. Wang Gui's eyes flashed with coldness but quickly concealed them. Wang Chen on the other hand spoke to Wang Tian said, "I'm also going to leave Wang Jhiayi with his mother. Be sure to visit them or you can just stay with them if you want to!"

"I'll consider it uncle!" Wang Tian replied warmly. Wang Tian was happy that he had an uncle like him. Back in his past life, his family had abandoned him because he was diagnosed with cancer. After making sure that their house was locked, he slowly set off towards the mountains. This time, he didn't run so it took him 4 hours to get to where he was yesterday.

"Now where is that Snake...?" He mumbled to himself. He searched the whole area for at least 30 minutes for the remains of the snake but came up with nothing.

'Could it be that when my body said decay, even the bones of the Snake turned into ashes?' he mused to himself.

He then went to the tree that the snake was guarding. He climbed up and then took the fruits. The fruits were about the size of a grown man's fist. The fruits were dark red in color and exuded a strange aura. He put it into his bag of holding and then thought to himself, "I'll examine it later. Now I just have to find myself a place to stay. Oh! I've got it! I'll make a Cultivation Cave myself!"

He then searched the area for a place to make a cultivation cave. He finally found a safe and secure area. He grabbed his sword from his bag of holding and then made a cave using it. If his father knew that he was going to use his sword to dig up dirt then he would probably cry and die from anger. The sword that his father gave him was of top-quality! As a father, Wang Gui didn't want to give Wang Tian a low quality sword. That's why he gave him a sword that was made from Calcite. A rare ore that can only be found at the Devil's land. But little did he know that his stupid son was going to use the sword made from Calcite to dig up dirt and make a cultivation cave.

After 3 whole hours, Wang Tian was finally done. He was drenched in sweat. Thus, Wang Tian changed into another set of clothes. This time, he was clad in dark brown. He felt as if the clothes that he was wearing were bigger than it was supposed to be that's why he took the sword and dusted it off. Then he used it as a mirror. "ahh!!" Wang Tian exclaimed in shock.

"Why am I skinny?!" He cried out.

"Was I always like this? Was it because of all the running I've been doing lately?" He mused to himself.

"Why did i not realize it sooner?"

Wang Tian laughed and cursed at himself.
