Arc 1 - Chapter 12: Difficulties

The next day*

"Okay, remember! You can't use your [Magic]!" Momoyo shout to Chikao, who is wielding a black single right fingerless glove.

"Didn't I explain before, that I can't use my [Ki] without using my [Magic]?" Chikao points out, even if he did he leveled up to [Mid Sequence 7: Lucky One] and raised the [Flawless Action] to a higher rank. Which still doesn't give him access to his [Ki Reserve] without the help of [Magic], but with the [Flawless Action]'s current rank is now enough for him to barely move at the same speed to react when either [Danger Intuition] and [Precognition] triggers.

"Wait, are you being for real?" Momoyo honestly thought Chikao was just messing with her about that. "I thought you were joking!"

Chikao looks at Momoyo with a deadpan, "Why would I joke about that? Unless you just want to beat the shit out of me, then you should at least let me use my [Magic] just so I can access my [Ki Reserve]." Plus, after leveling up. Chikao noticed that thinking about using [Bairong Style] with the different [Magics] to make improvements to it was very flawed. After all, take away the [Magic], then there is no usage of [Ki] nor be able to bring out its full might due to it mainly requires the usage of [Ki] in the first place and martial arts, which only have [Sword God Style] in it and nothing else. If that wasn't enough, the only attack move of the [Bairong Style] Chikao got from his memory is [Kaiser Fist] and that's it.

Then again, Chikao did pick [Bairong Style] due to the fast and powerful one-hit-kill method. All or nothing, with overwhelming the foes before they could do a thing to him. So, Chikao quickly goes through all the memories he still maintains so far, to find anything to solve this problem. Yet, nothing has come that would solve this problem and decided with the help of [Numeromancy] to see the next best thing is to lower the amount of [Ki] per each strike or using [17th Period Math Time] to have a somewhat infinite maximum damage rate of 100% in each attack while at the same time carrying the momentum without making it drop. Maybe even going beyond the maximum limit if Chikao decided to include a few dangerous equations into the set of [Magic Circles]. Plus, if that wasn't enough, Chikao realized that his [Human Magic] can be used forever without any limit since it doesn't even rely on [Mana] nor [Ki]; therefore, Chikao is looking into a solution for a useless problem when he shouldn't even be playing on Momoyo's rules in the first place.

"I guess." Momoyo frown, for she knew how much of a cheat Chikao's [Human Magic] compared to the rest of Magicians' [Human Magic].

"In fact, if I think about it even more. I didn't aim to be a Martial Artist. I'm a Magician first before a Martial Artist." Chikao said to Momoyo, who frowns even more at his comment. "How about this, I will fight you in unarmed combat while using [Human Magic] to boost my body and only use my body to fight back. No using [Magic] to seal away your control over [Ki] as I did before." Chikao knew that Momoyo would clearly not like fighting him with [Magic] and just with [Ki] alone.

"Hmm. Alright." Momoyo agreed to this, but she got the feeling she still has a hard time facing Chikao and she is proved right. As she watches him placing multiple [Magic Circles] on his body and the presence of danger coming from him just kept on rising with each new [Magic Circle] are placed.

[17th Period Math Time: Me - (Air + Resistance)] = Remove air resistance when moving.

[17th Period Math Time: (Right + Hand) + (Block + Force)] = Make is so one's right hand has the ability to block the force behind the attack on physical contact.

[17th Period Math Time: Me + (100% + (Ki + Control))] = Temporarily gain control 100% of one's own [Ki].

The first and third are placed on Chikao's back, which is visible for Momoyo to see while the second one is attached to Chikao's right hand and the reason why he is wearing a glove, to protect the skin somewhat.

While the [Sword God Style Magic Circle] is placed on the back of Chikao's left hand, which was modified to give the same effect as if Chikao's left hand is a sword itself and being able to use the [Longsword of Light] without a sword in hand.

The right hand to defend and the left hand to attack. As for the movement itself; well, there is a reason why he has the two [17th Period Math Time Magic Circles] on his back.

The [Flying Thunder God] would have been better than using [Ki], but this is fine for Chikao since if he had used the [Flying Thunder God], then the chance of Momoyo even being able to hit him is nearly at zero percent. Either way, Chikao will have a tough facing Momoyo as of right now with his handicap. Something Chikao finds himself baffled, that he would do such a thing but kept reminding himself this was to stop Momoyo from consistently asking him for a fight, even though she will stop after a few days later, but that's a bit too long and annoying for Chikao.

It's only due to knowing how powerful Momoyo compared to anyone else he could partner up with, and once again Chikao wonders why he needs a partner, then remember he might go a bit stir crazy from loneliness, causing Chikao to sweatdrop. Out of any possible potential people to partner up with. Momoyo is the best so far.

"Okay, I'm ready whenever you are-FUCK!" Chikao's [Danger Intuition] and [Precognition] instantly trigger and Chikao use his [Flawless Action] right away to evade a powerful straight punch aiming right at his head and the scene of his head exploding on hit had nearly made him shit himself!

"SHOW ME WHAT YA GOT!" Momoyo roar as she is delighted that Chikao dodged. "[Kawakami Style: Ultimate Right Crusher]!" The same as the previous technique she used for a simple, straight punch with so much concentrated [Ki], that she can defeat many opponents with it easily and the strength to be like a battleship cannon or higher. However, except that she uses both her arms to rapid-fire this technique.

Multiple explosions, rain down on Chikao and it's only thanks to using 100% [Ki] to enhance his speed while using his right hand to block all the punches from Momoyo that he can't dodge in time, even with [Flawless Action] and enhancing his body with [Ki]. Yet, this was still enough for Momoyo to push him back with each punches' air pressure alone affecting him. To make it even worse for Chikao is due to having no air resistance at all, causing the air pressure to affect him even more, but in the many routes. This alone has helped Chikao use the air pressure to push him further away from being hit by Momoyo.

Checking for the right moment to attack with [Numeromancy] and the moment the time comes. Chikao attack with a left straight punch with the speed of light and directly punch Momoyo in the stomach, with enough force to lift up her entire body off the ground a couple of feet before being blown away. However, Chikao leap to his left nearly got punched in the stomach as payback and would have ruptured his organs if it had landed and after a second later, explode. Killing him instantly afterward.

The image from [Precognition] sends a chill down Chikao's spine and he quickly wants to finish this whole foolish match between him and Momoyo, and by foolish, he meant it was extremely stupid of him to agree with this whole thing! Chikao should have just dealt with Momoyo being annoying for a few days before she stops on her own and saves him the stress of almost being killed more than once by her, and what worse is that Momoyo did this by accident too! This entire time, Chikao easily figure out that Momoyo thought his body would withstand her attacks like how her body is strong enough to withstand many deadly, fatal blows like nothing through training with [Ki], but his body is still wasn't used to channeling [Ki] yet! Let alone withstand powerful attacks from Momoyo!

At this point, Chikao is starting to get tired with all the dodging and trying to wait for the best time to counter, but with how much time has passed, Momoyo continues attacking with multiple fast punches that produce shockwaves with no ends. Kinda makes it a bit harder for Chikao to launch his own counter and continue to be on the defensive.

Punching Momoyo with his own fist wasn't something he wanted to do after a [Precognition] show the result of doing so the moment the thought pop in his head. So yeah, Chikao just has to rely on his right hand while figure out the best moment to attack with his left hand. In hindsight, Chikao overestimated himself in thinking he could take on Momoyo with such handicaps. Well, now this ordeal has taught him a valuable lesson.

DON'T HANDICAP YOURSELF!

It's stupid and foolish of Chikao for thinking he could do such a thing when he wasn't even on the level of allowing this when facing someone like Momoyo and bad enough, Chikao knew exactly how powerful Momoyo is thanks to [Numeromancy] showing him all the fights in the endless possible futures. Yet, he ignored this like a fool he is. It's only thanks to [Precognition] and [Flawless Action] helping him this entire time of not having him end up dead.

"Why are you not attacking?!" Momoyo became annoyed that none of her attacks are hitting, with a few that did would always become useless the moment it touches Chikao's right hand. Making her helpless at this and tried her best to take him down with pure raw speed and strength. Yet, it seems like Chikao can see all her moves before she even begins!

Chikao wanted to rebuke Momoyo, but it's taking a lot of effort into putting avoid those deadly punches that can instantly kill him. And after the hundredth time seeing his death. Chikao had enough and quickly placed a [Magic Circle] above Momoyo. Right before she could start using one of her powerful moves, that could destroy a mountain with a single attack from a long distance.

"Okay, I can't go any longer." Chikao starts panting as he almost kneels over as he barely standing and it's only thanks to [Ki], that he hasn't fallen over just yet.

"What do you mean?! Things were just about to get good!" Momoyo tries to force herself to punch Chikao through whatever [Magic] he is using on her, to make her unable to move. Sadly, she couldn't' do a thing.

"As in, I'm close to being killed by you! Damn! I didn't expect your punches would be that strong!" Chikao shouts at Momoyo, causing her to grim as she figures out that he did not have a powerful body. "I mean, seriously! I was on a very thin line in between life and death with all those punches you were throwing right at me! I saw my life ending so many times, that I lost count!" Hell, Chikao is speaking the truth about seeing his life ending more than once.

"Why didn't you say anything, then?!" Momoyo wasn't going to allow all the faults to be on her when Chikao could have stopped her right away like he is doing right now.

"Because you wouldn't shut up about wanting to fight me! Hell, the only reason I even put up with you in traveling with me is that it gets damn lonely on my own!" Chikao didn't know what came over him and just release all his frustration with all the things he had to put himself in this second life of his, that he has no idea if he will live to old age or be killed again!

Momoyo looks at Chikao speechless, then notice the [Magic Circle] holding her down disappear, allowing her to move again, but she doesn't know what to do now. This just made her relive the same similar event in the past, where people couldn't stand her for the urge to fight all the time.

"Maybe I should leave..." Momoyo looks at the ground with a blank face. Trying to hide how sad she feels right now. Yet, Momoyo didn't realize tears starting to appear.

"Yeah, no." Chikao said with a deadpan, causing Momoyo to look at him with surprise. "I'll be honest. The last person I travel with; well, hang out with for exciting adventures, which I will tell you later if you're interested, and it was a crazy Stray Exorcist and male. You're more pleasing in the eyes and female, as well as not completely crazy." Chikao pause to look behind him, to see lots of craters everywhere not caused by him, then look back at Momoyo. "Plus, you're strong and can help me out in times when I might not be able to handle it on my own." Chikao thinks about if there is anything else he should say to Momoyo. Not relying on [Numeromancy] this time.

"You had a crazy Stray Exorcist as an adventure partner?" Momoyo looks at Chikao in shock, because anyone would do their best not to partner up with these types of people, for there is a reason why they became crazy. The Stray Exorcist's status is fine for Momoyo, but the crazy part is something to be concerned with, then the words Chikao said after about the crazy Stray Exorcist finally register in her head. "Hey, I'm not crazy!"

"Really? So any normal person would attack anyone out of the blue in the name of just fighting only?" Chikao rebuke Momoyo while remembering a certain pink hair male in the Fairy Tail world would do such a thing like Momoyo is doing, making Chikao wonder if he can handle two Momoyo, even if Natsu rely on the power of friendship to defeat his strongest foe. "Actually, never mind. I can think at the top of my head of others like you, who would attack first without caring if the person in mind wanted to fight you or not. At least, now you don't outright attack since the first time."

"Hey, the first time is mostly because I got too excited to have a good fight after a long time since the last one." Momoyo folds her arms under her breasts, pushing them out a bit more, and smirk when she saw Chikao's eyes zone on them right away for a few seconds before looking away. "Anyway, since we got all that out of the way. Now what?"

"Are you planning to fight me again anytime soon?" Chikao said dryly.

"Unless you want to, because I didn't think you would be that weak without any [Magic]." Momoyo frown, that she didn't get to fight with all she got. Then again, Momoyo can just think up a few new moves to deal against Chikao's [Magic] in case she may face something similar to it again in the future by someone else.

"Well, how would you face me while using a sword?" Chikao's eyes gain a sharp glint, that actually causes a shiver to go down Momoyo's spine and made her take a step back.

However, it didn't take long before Momoyo's fighting spirit took over and made her eager to fight Chikao with a sword, at least then he won't be using [Magic]. Hopefully.

"Oh, wait. My sword style is meant for killing only, not for friendly fighting." Chikao sweatdrop, forgetting that the [Sword God Style] is [Magic], not something he actually trained in and he even used it against Momoyo, even if it was without a sword, but enough to show that Momoyo should be able to defeat him if he doesn't go all out to kill. "Never mind, forget what I said. Come on, time for us to leave the area before someone noisy show up."

"Wow, make a girl getting all excited before leaving her." Momoyo snort but got in the car as well. Not wanting to deal with any unwanted people from the supernatural world and from a race, not humans, that are looking to pick a bone with her and Chikao for being humans.

"Hey, at least you got your fight after all." Chikao scoff at Momoyo for saying such a thing.

"Yeah, but it ends in a way not satisfying. Truly, I must train even more so I can face against your broken [Human Magic]." Momoyo is secretly glad that she decided to tag along with Chikao. Otherwise, she would be completely defenseless against any foes in the future that could do the same thing as Chikao's [Human magic]

"Train any more and you would be able to defeat gods." Chikao has already seen a few couples of routes, where Momoyo has defeated, even killed some lesser gods, but they're gods nonetheless, not mortals. Therefore, Momoyo possesses the ability to be a god slayer in this crazy world.

"Oh, I have defeated some gods before. Some even wanted to make me their champion, where even some evil gods wanted to take over my body for themselves. Tough luck on that." Momoyo raises her nose a bit, to show how proud she is to be able to beat up gods.

"I see." Chikao sweatdrop, that it looks like Momoyo has already defeated many gods before meeting him. "How about killing one?"

"Eh, a few annoying ones I have, but they don't stay dead. I think it's due to the faithful followers that keep them alive or whatever; well, for those gods I killed kept on coming back sometime. There are some cases, where I've killed one and they've stayed dead too." Momoyo replied with a shrug of her shoulders. That this wasn't a really big deal.

Well, Chikao got himself a god slayer as a partner, and he fought against her like an idiot by handicapping himself.
