Versus 2

The rain drop beats the dust in the air. The sky was darker, made it hard to see every surroundings clearly. The whitish haired boy covered Aerum's body with his veil. Gertrude was lying on the ground, unconscious. Gertrude was beated up by the redish haired man.

"Kekee.... don't be wet." The whitish haired boy said while carrying Aerum on his arms.

"...."

"I hope someone saw that...." Aerum said in her mind unconsciously.

In a small store with woods as the decorations of their wall, a man was shaping a magenta coloured crystal with his hands and his tools. The man was so careful with his job.

"Ah, finally done!" The man said while staring at the magenta crystal on his hand. He put the crystal to the cupboard. Then the man took another crystal and started to shape it again. A 5 years old kid with brownish-blonde hair was eating a candy in her mouth. The kid saw a beautiful wasp passed by in front of her round eyes.

"Aaaah!" The kid reacted in amazement. But the moment she opened her eyes, the candy inside her mouth fell off. The candy bounced on the wooden tiles. The kid followed the candy and tried to take it.

After a few times bouncing, the candy fell under the cupboard. The kid hitted the cupboard a little bit hard. A door accidentally opened because of the shake and a white clear yellowish crystal fell on the floor. The kid looked at the crystal. The crystal has the similar shape and size. The kid thought it was her candy that fell. The kid put it in her mouth again and accidentally shallow it. The moment she shallow it, a light burst out of her body, glowed so bright in white. The man who crafted a crystal was shocked and accidentally released the crystal he tried to shape on the floor, the other crystal was smaller that the crystal the kid ate. The kid cried loudly, but the man couldn't came any closer. The crystals started to grow on the kid's skins. After a minute, everything turned back into normal. The man immediately ran to his daughter and carried her, trying to find what just happened and what's wrong. The kid's hair turned into gracefull white-blonde hair. The man and his wife decided to bring the kid to the doctor.

"Congrats. Your daughter was a rare breed that could accept the crystals power." The doctor said.

"But this means you have to be more carefull. Bad people will chase her to get her power or to use her. Start from now, never tell anyone untrustworthy about her." The doctor continued.

"So, nothing was wrong with our daughter, right?" The man asked. The doctor started to recheck the data.

"For a successful people who could use the power from the crystal immortally, there should be at least one injury or sickness.... but with our data, there's nothing wrong. Your daughter was incredibly healthy." The doctor said.

"I see. Then we will be more careful next time." The wife of the man said. Then they left the doctor and went back to their store. The man's wife yelled at him for a while and the man sorry. Then the man's wife sweep the floor. The small crystal that fell on the floor got sweeped away.

"..... why did I remember this now?" Aerum asked in her mind.

"Is this one of the reason why did my hand started to turn into a crystal?" Aerum asked in her mind.

The two boys walked between the ruins in the middle of the rain, finding a place arround there to hide from the rain. The redish haired man sat on the ground, the whitish haired man do that too beside him while carrying Aerum on his arms.

Footsteps in the middle of the rain was heard, sounds like the drum beat in the middle of the rain melody.

"Hm? Only one pair?" The redish haired man asked in his mind while trying to listen to his brother footsteps.

The redish haired man came out from the shelter in the rain.

"Kyle, took you a little long but where's Jaxon?" The redish haired man asked while moved his head toward his brother. The man was shocked,

"B-B-B-Brother....." Kyle, the blonde haired boy, said shakingly.

"Ara ara.... you're his brother?" A woman with white butterfly wings asked gracefully.

"You...." the redish haired man said.

"Why don't you meet our boss instead, no 4 hero, Butterfly?!" The redish haired man asked.

"Boss? Where is she?" The woman asked.

"She's somewhere, finding heroes to do her plan!" The redish haired man yelled.

"What plan?" The woman asked innocently.

"Why would we tell you?!" The redish haired man yelled and immediately pulled his sword. The man tried to stab the woman, but the woman caught his sword with her bare fingers. The redish haired man was shocked. In the woman's finger, there were some honey liquid that touched the blade of the man.

"I'll use it-" the man thought, but then he was shocked.

"My power, is gone?" The man thought in his mind.

"Ara ara..... two magic-eater user." The woman said calmly.

"Y-You're a magic-eater user too?" The man asked in shock.

"Well yes." The woman answered with a smile.

"But you're wrong. If a magic-eater user eat another magic-eater user, so they just lost their stocks that they've eated. This is such a confusing magic actually." The woman continued.

"And luckily, you took much and good quality of magics, thank you." The woman said. Then the woman flew on the air. The redish haired man pulled back his sword and tried to slash Butterfly, that woman.

"Let's see.... I'll use...." Butterfly, the woman, said calmly. Her white eyes, wings, and hair turned into grey colour. Slowly Butterfly's muscles were getting bigger. Butterfly flipped vertically upward and stepped on the ground with her leg. The ground was distroyed and cracked into big pieces. Both of the boys got hitted by the particles.

"And this." Butterfly said. Her eyes, wings, and hair turned into dark purple colour. Butterfly's muscles shrinked into her normal size. Butterfly spinned in the air horizontally from right to left. From Butterfly's hands, dark chains were created and tied those two boys. Then Butterfly stepped on their heads and flew to their shelter.

"H-Hei!" Kyle, the blonde haired boy said.

"She's going to Luke!" The redish haired man said in his mind and tried to freed himself.

Butterfly arrived at their shelter.

"Hello." Butterfly said gracefully while landing on the ground. The whitish haired boy hold Aerum tighter, didn't want to let go.

"Araaa..... who's that?" Butterfly asked softly.

"..... Ku.... ku.... I won't give her to you!" The whitish haired boy said while hugging Aerum tightly.

"Oh!" Butterfly said in shock after seeing Aerum's condition. Most of Aerum's body was covered by crystals. Butterfly walked closely to Aerum.

Butterfly's palm hands were covered by honey.

"He has magic. But why didn't he use it?" Butterfly asked in her mind. When Butterfly was close enough in front of the whitish haired boy, Butterfly touched his forehead and 'eat' his magic. The boy couldn't use his magic for a while. Then Butterfly touched Aerum's arms to 'eat' Aerum's magic for a while, but she failed.

"Oh! I get it..." Butterfly said.

"We, magic-eater user, couldn't eat the magic from the one who got their magic from the crystal." Butterfly continued.

Butterfly smiled at the boy and said,

"This girl need some treatment. She's sick. I need to bring her to the hospital nearby."

But the boy hold Aerum's body tighter,

"I don't want to give her to you! Let me be the one who bring her!"

"Araa.... if that so then let's go." Butterfly said while guiding the boy. The boy went outside of the shelter and found his brothers got tied.

"B-Brother?" The whitish haired boy asked in shock. But then Butterfly hitted his neck hardly so that he went unconscious. Butterfly brought Aerum on her arms and flied.

When Butterfly flied, she found one of her friends.

"We found 4 kids arround this ruins, the 4 kids are in treatment by the doctors." A girl with pink hair said.

"Lovie. Could you take care of her? I'll find the other opponents." Butterfly said.

"And..." Butterfly said, then she brought Gertrude on her hand,

"And her." Butterfly continued.

"And Pulse Beater, take care of those boys for me, thank you." Butterfly said while pointing at the boys.

"Sure, Butterfly." A man with brown hair answered.

Then Butterfly flew to the sky. The wind blowed in silence, nearly nothing. The water from the raindrops flowed on Butterfly's body slowly, following her curves. Butterfly flied as high as possible to see the city's condition and to find the villains.
