Chapter 1: Reincarnated into Ben 10

~Jack POV~

"Happy birthday Jack Black."

Smiling at my parents and my family members present it has been about a long while ever since I have accepted that my world has changed ever since I died but more so the fact I have been reborn into a cartoon.

By that I'm more specifically in the Ben 10 world not your usual anime fantasy style kind either to which I was glad for honestly. I happen to turn 16 this year as I waited for Ben and his gang to finally come.

Add the fact that I have been watching the news there have been few alien sightings and attacks as well as new heroes of the unknown shown as well as the iconic Omnitrix on them it was simple enough to figure out.

How I know its Ben 10 world is quite simple actually it's the fact that Bellwood exist in this world and for that I needed to be careful of what I do here otherwise Professor Paradox might come here one day.

So, for now I have been waiting patiently for the chance to get my first use of power in this world and that is getting the magic power of the Charms of Bezel.

And currently I have been biding my time here with my parents here living in News Orleans so I happen to know what goes along here in my town at times and the wifi here is also great to find out more.

My dad is from American descent while my mother is more of the Japanese one but I happen to look normal enough I suppose with my black hair and brown eyes.

New Orleans is a Louisiana city on the Mississippi River, near the Gulf of Mexico. Nicknamed the "Big Easy," it's known for its round-the-clock nightlife, vibrant live-music scene and spicy, singular cuisine reflecting its history as a melting pot of French, African and American cultures.

Embodying its festive spirit is Mardi Gras, the late-winter carnival famed for raucous costumed parades and street parties.

Despite my life here I want to go out beyond the Omniverse and such into the multiverse its something I always yearned to do but I couldn't because I'm just someone from the background as that dream nay reality will never happen. Despite me learning some martial arts and some in engineering I can't help but feel I'm not up for what's to come.

Despite my love to my new parents in this world I can't help it but venture out in the big wide world and do what I want freely as I please but then again nothing comes cheap in this world isn't.

My greed is stronger than my love for my parents and family members because I wish to experience what the outside multiverse is like and no one will stop me from getting their I just have to adjust things carefully for that to happen.

Fortunately for me and Ben we have our classes canceled for summer break so that means I have more free time to do what I want and that includes the needs of being able to move around or go to the tour of the Museum for tomorrow…

No matter what happens I will be the one to come out on top.

~Third POV~

He spent the majority of his time searching around the place where the Tennysons will be till he found the iconic vehicle. The Rustbucket knowing this he waited till it was time to for him to get charms of bezel first before doing anything else.

It was in the later night of New Orlands as the Tennysons just entered inside the of the witchcraft soon followed by Jack acting interested by the scene before him.

He was hiding his true intent for later when Hex shows up as he began to prepare himself away from the spot in the show he remembers as best as he could to get ready for the upcoming problem ahead.

Ben is looking through a tribal mask, while Gwen and Grandpa Max are with an elderly female tour guide. The guide is describing a book in a display case called the Archamada Book of Spells, said to contain exceedingly strong and powerful ancient spells, rituals, witchcrafts, and incantations, dating back to the sixteenth century.

Remembering the book Jack looks calmly at the book as he shakes his head away from the idea as he thinks to himself seriously, 'Yeah no I have no need for that book. While the power up is nice I don't have a thing for magic for it as either Hex gets it or Spellcaster will. That and it messes with the timeline.'

Ignoring the book he continues to listen to the guide explaining the Archamada Book, as Gwen repeats her words perfectly. The guide says that Gwen should work at the museum.

After she walks off, Ben makes Gwen feel better by saying that she's probably older than the book itself and makes a face to illustrate that fact whispering to her, "Don't let "mummy-face" get to you, she's probably older than that spellbook."

Gwen laughs at this in light of the situation as all of a sudden, everyone is suddenly lifted off the ground and pinned to the ceiling. Max makes the obvious observation that this isn't part of the tour reaching for his kids.

Jack for his part felt the pain from it but came prepared just for the occasion just waiting for itself to happen as he looks out he thinks to himself happily, 'Ahh… finally. I was wondering when the mean old wizard of the magic land would come out to play.'

From a window, a stream of red smoke passes through and materializes into a man that is wearing a red-and-black-colored robe. He carries a wooden staff with a bird's head, and a necklace with dozens of magical and mystical charms on it.

The man in question is named Hex a magician.

*Crack*

As he breaks the bookcase with a verbal spell, the man calls the book to him, he then began to speak as if he already won, "The Archamada book of Spells... All of its power shall soon be mine!"

With the magician focused on the book, Ben prepares to activate the Omnitrix. Before he can do so, however, the man stops whatever was pinning them to the ceiling, causing them to plummet.

Jack seeing this prepares to fall on the ground by crouching his legs into position as he began to land down as he does so rolls on the ground to lessen the damage of the fall but he comments on his legs as he speaks under his breath, "Fuck. That god damn hurt by that fall I can still feel my legs completely sore from that but…"

Not needing to look further or get ready he sees a flash of green light behind his body as a smirk appeared on his face as he thought to himself, 'About time the kid finally gets into business of things.'

*Blink*

Luckily, Ben transforms into XLR8 and get ahead of everyone. He ties off a large hanging banner to act as the slide, catching everyone before they fall on the ground. He orders them all to go outside.

"Everyone get out!!"

Luckily though Jack made sure to move away from them as he closely follows the action and ignores what Ben said shaking his head as he began to talk to himself quietly, "Yeah… no way I'm missing this chance. This will be my only chance before I get going on my plans."

Max warns him to be careful, since he does not know what the man is capable of in a concerned voice, "Ben, be careful. You don't know what tricks he's got up his sleeve."

Hearing the voice of Concern Ben as XLR8 began to move as Hex stands facing Ben, as his 2nd Charm activates. He holds up his staff and recites an incantation, causing flames to erupt from the staff, setting the tapestry alight, As XLR8 runs up walls to avoid the flames, shards of red crystals fire out from the staff, which also shoots a blinding light at Ben.

*Pew*

*Bam*

*Crash*

The attack landing when XLR8 tries to face Hex head on, he's met with a bright light from Hex's staff, causing him to slide by and slam into some cases on the wall. As Hex turns to finish him off, he's hit with a couple of trash cans thrown by Gwen and Max as Gwen responds awkwardly of this, "I guess we got his attention…"

Max then replies next to her seeing Hex began to get their attention in regret, "Kind of wish we hadn't now."

*Swoosh*

Though they regret doing so in hindsight Hex uses his power to throw them across the room as Jack carefully avoids the fight beginning to get closer to where when one of the charms falls off from the ground as he prays hopefully, 'Now come on! I just have to wait this fight for them to be done and I will be good as gone but not before dealing Hex a fatal blow. No need for a angry psychopath mage ruining my hopes and dreams.'

*Swoosh*

*Bam***Bam**Bam*

*Bam**Bam**Bam*

Luckily, for Jack XLR8 gets back up and surprises Hex, encircling in a blur of motion and hitting him until he loses consciousness. During the fight, one of charms is knocked away as Jack takes this chance to get the charms as Hex was getting the shit beaten out of him as he collected one of the charms as he grins happily but making sure to keep his hoodie hide his face.

But he quickly moved away from the scene as he gotten fortunately thanks to charm increasing his luck to stupid levels.

*Thud*

A large thud sound resonated from the attack as Hex was sent flying to where luckily it was next to Jack was hiding as XLR8 began to gloat about his win, "Just doing with I need to do and keeping it low-key kicking bad guys but."

In that moment by pure chance of luck XLR8 was distracted long enough to see a crowd of people began to come back inside as Jack took the rest of the Charms of Bezel inside his pocket as he held one for Telekinesis as he activated it by the charm glowing.

He used the telekinesis to his head giving him some concussion to make sure that Hex won't follow after him, 'Now that takes care of one threat. Unfortunately for me Paradox won't come yet till he find out who done it if Hex is gone. Better for him to stay out for awhile.'

Jack taking his time to the crowd were they originated from he began to get closer acting all happy taking out his flip phone as he takes photos of XLR8 as he boasts to the crowd, "Who's your hero everyone!"

With that the day has come to a nearly end as Jack already left early to locate where the Rustbucket is as he began to see the rest of the Tennysons get inside and leave as Jack made sure to follow at a safe distance keeping his appearance hidden till they left to a restaurant later from what he recalls of the show.

When they were distracted Jack made sure to open inside using the charms telekinesis to open the door as he began to look through the place till he found Ben box as he grins taking the item within, 'Ah. This is wasted on Ben for not using this properly. The DNA Transmodulator from Dr. Animo would be useful.'

The DNA Transmodulator is a machine invented and used by Dr. Animo to mutate animal DNA. Dr. Animo built it from scratch, using bought and stolen parts, and often wears it in most of his appearances.

Taking it with him he began to leave the area as he began to get away to his hotel for the night keeping the items he got from this endeavor. With a breath of relief under his breath, "Sigh… that was too close for comfort. But I got what I came for now the next step."
