Mingxoai POV

As I sat way in the back I couldn't help, but be intrigued by the woman who is my new first period teacher

Her hershy colored skin, with her brown her dreaded up and placed into a neat ponytail on top of her head

"She's beautiful." I think to myself watching her until she looks back up and our eyes lock

Her stare had me in some type of hold by an invisible force her cocoa eyes starring into my soul

I look down in fear of her seeing what I really felt

"I never did get your name young lady." She says her voice so euphoric making me want to hear it more

"Sanchez, Mingxoai Sanchez." I said quietly hoping she wouldn't ask me to speak I hate talking

My father says women like me are to be seen not heard

"Well I'm Shawnee Everson." She says gently I look up and see her smiling at me which made me internally swoon

"I've heard great things about you Miss. Sanchez you are an A and B student never miss a single day of school." Ms. Everson says impressed

"Yeah because I don't want to stay at home with my hateful father and scary mother." I think to myself feeling hatred build up into me more

"Are you okay?! You look upset did I say something wrong?" Ms. Everson asks

Just in time the bell rings or I wouldn't have a choice, but to answer that question

My other classmates came as usual in their cliques

Cheerleaders

"Ahh." I sighed quietly knowing this was going to be a day where nothing goes my way

"Hey nerd up front!" One of the football jocks yell

Toni McGullen 6'1 with natural olive colored skin with sky blue eyes which other girls seem to gush over, but I didn't see anything special

I decided not to answer as I got everything on my desk situated ready for Ms. Everson to start class

"Hey I know you heard me slut!!" Toni says and others laugh at his horrid statement

"ENOUGH!!" A voice booms and we all look towards the door and I see an angry Ms. Everson standing glaring at Toni

"What's your name boy?" Ms. Everson asks standing in front of her desk

"The famous football player for this school." Toni says cockily high fiving his football buddies and Ms. Everson rolls her eyes

"You seem like a coward to me." Ms. Everson says and I gasps

"There will be no and I repeat NO bullying of any kind in this classroom if I hear or see it I'm writing you up no ifs, ands, or buts about it do I make myself clear?" Ms. Everson asks darkly holding eye contact with Toni making him in his seat

"Yes ma'am." He mutters and Ms. Everson returns to her normal self smiling

"Good now then class I am your new english teacher Ms. Everson and I will be taking over this class for the rest of the semester so please take out your english books and turn to page 112." Ms. Everson says

Everyone did so while I remain stuck in shock at her outburst
