Season 1 (Ch22): Girls POV

Lydia POV*

I messed up. There is no other way to put it, the kiss was so good, so good that I knew it couldn't have been Jackson but I did it to protect myself. The feelings I held for Ryan came to fast and they were to real, the guy was something that I didn't expect at all especially when he wanted to get to know the real me.

All the time he spent with Allison actually made me a little jealous, she was able to come in and do something I couldn't, and that was grab his attention. Granted I did notice him watching me sometime but it was in a different way, not in the same friendly way that they were together, though it seemed like a little more.

Then he gave me a chance, a chance to be a real friend, a chance where I didn't need to hide behind the mask that I held up in front of everyone else. It felt amazing being able to show how smart I am, it was hard to actually act so dumb in front of everyone, even if I have perfected it by now it was not something I liked doing.

Ryan just came along and shattered that though, calling me out even and making me be real with him, it was really freeing. The time we spent together was fun, he didn't even seem to mind the movies I picked, even playfully fighting with me when I picked one out not like Jackson who would have yelled and fought.

More and more as the days passed I even started to compare the two of them, which made me fall more for Ryan, then I just had to mess things up when I actually get my chance. Since then he had ignored me, I don't know if he knew I did it on purpose or not but it didn't matter since he wouldn't take to me.

I wanted the chance to explain it to him bu never got one since he left the other night, he ignored all messages and didn't pick up my calls. Even when I stopped by his house no one answered the door, it felt heartbreaking when I walked away from that door.

Now I had to get ready for the date night with Allison and the rest while not being into it, if anything I wanted to go home and cuddle next to Ryan while watching a movie. It was so simple but it felt like heaven to me, my chest felt so full just at the thought of being in his arms with him holding me as we laughed away at some movie.

Now though I didn't even know if that would happen again, I know I wouldn't forgive someone who did that to me, it was a big deal breaker. Especially if you did it at a moment like, that I only had thought about that for a second but that whole second change things real quickly, I immediately wanted to apologize too.

As I got ready for the date I went through the motions, the only thoughts on my mind really were Ryan, I wanted to talk to him and apologize while seeing his smile again. At the moment though I could only groan in frustration while planning, I was going to trap him and get him to talk to me, there was no other option.

Leaving my house I took off to get Allison, although I wasn't feeling this date like I was the other day it still needed to be done since we planned it all. The ride wasn't long before I got there, her mom let me in before telling me that Allison was in her room.

Heading up there I knocked before she opened the door, "You still aren't ready yet?" I asked while walking over to her bed and laying on it.

"Sorry I was working on homework so I didn't get the chance. Now that you are here though you can help me choose and outfit." She said with a smile but it seemed a little strained from my point of view, I had noticed that at school today she was a little off just like me but she didn't mention anything.

"And what are you two girls doing?" Her dad asked as he walked into the room seeing that they were still picking out an outfit for Allison.

"We were getting ready to head out." Allison said.

"There is a curfew you aren't going anywhere, especially with that thing out there attacking people." He told Allison in a stern voice.

I haven't talked to Allison about the whole supernatural world thing yet, it seemed like they weren't planning on talking around me about it either so I would need to talk to her soon. To be honest I was worried about the Alpha too, but at the moment it hasn't attacked any teens so I figured we are in the clear at the moment.

"Fine we will stay in and study." I heard Allison say as I came back to their conversation.

He looked at the two of the before walking out, I turned to Allison with a raised brow, "Are we really going to study?"

She put on a sly look while looking at the window, "Nope we are just going to sneak out."

"Well you have fun with that, me I am going to us the front door." I told her while fixing my jacket and walking out of the room. I wasn't going to scale the side of the house with her to get down, it wasn't like I was trapped in this room for the night, I was only a visitor.

I waved to her parents before walking out the front door, as I reached the car Allison was already there, shaking my head we both got into the car before taking off. We were going to pick up the boys for the date, Scott couldn't get the car from his mom so we were going to have to pick him up.

As we picked them up and reached the bowling alley we walked inside, I didn't stick close to Jackson like normal, I didn't want to be to close to him at the moment with all the emotions I was feeling. He didn't seem to notice it though, I did catch him looking a Scott and Allison a lot, though there was something in his eyes as he looked at them.

Inside there was only five people, that included the three workers, the other two almost made me stop in my tracks. It was Ryan and he was with some older woman who was laughing and enjoying her time with him, my chest hurt as I saw him smiling at her, I wanted that smile pointed at me.

"Oh looks like Ryan is here with his mom." Allison said from beside Scott making everyone look at the two of them.

Me though I was just happy to know that it was his mom, the uncomfortable feeling that I had went away. "His mom is hot!" I heard Jackson say from next to me but at the moment I couldn't take my eyes off of Ryan who at that moment looked over at us.

Allison POV*

It hurt. That was all I could feel, that it hurt. I thought that maybe Ryan would let me sleep with him again but the look he gave me when he asked hurt me when he told me no.

When he explained the reason why it made me feel worse, I knew what he was saying was logical but at the same time I didn't want it to stop. He became the little comfort I gained when I moved here, he was the first friend I got that just accepted me the moment we met, my dad even liked him.

I wasn't going to act like my flirting with him was a game, I actually wanted him to ask me on a date, but I knew that it was too soon for that we had just met. Then Scott came along, though I knew I should have rejected him it didn't work, he was just too cute with that dog that I said yes when he asked me to the party.

Then when he left me I should have rejected his next attempt, especially when I spent that night in Ryan's arms which just felt so good, like I was meant to be there. Plus Scott seemed to have a lot of problems going on, he was always rushing to do something leaving me behind to wonder what he was doing.

Ryan wasn't talking to me though, I knew the reason why but to me it just seemed natural to be around him, though he was seeing it that way. I had a double date with him, Lydia and Jackson tonight, I actually wanted Ryan's opinion on what to wear but his lights weren't on, and he wasn't answering text messages.

For the past thirty minutes my homework has been sitting in front of me untouched, all these thoughts have been going through my head again and again on repeat. Sighing I set down my pencil while rubbing my eyes, there was nothing that was going to change with me sitting her but there was also nothing I could do to change it.

"Allison!" I heard Lydia's voice call out as she walked into the room. I wasn't going to be petty but I was a little mad at her at the moment, she took Ryan away from me, well not really but it feels that way.

"Hey, sorry did you say something?" I said while standing from my desk leaving my untouched homework on the desk.

"Yeah I was wondering why you weren't ready yet, but now I see why. You are to busy doing homework, you need to get ready we still need to meet the guys, and pick up Scott." She said while moving towards my closest to get something out for me to wear.

After awhile my dad came in to stop us from going out, I know he didn't want me to because the Alpha has become more aggressive but that wasn't going to stop me. Not that I was all that excited for the date or anything but I needed a night out, I was hoping this would also help me clear my mind.

I didn't want give up on Scott just yet, though the Ryan thing was killing me, something inside told me to just give Scott a try like a siren calling a pirate who was at sea. Lydia walked out the room while I scaled down my house, there was no way my parents would let me leave normally.

Well my mom, by the time I was outside and at Lydia's car I could see my dad leaving, the SUV headlights fading in the distance. The whole ride to get Scott we didn't talk much, I could see that she was in her mind too, it also didn't escape my notice that Ryan was avoiding her too, though she didn't talk about it or tell me why.

After getting Scott we got Jackson and headed to the bowling alley, the place was basically dead, the only other cars in the parking lot were most likely employee cars. Well that is what I thought until I saw a certain Mustang sitting in the parking lot letting me know that I was wrong about that.

As we walked inside I laughed at something Scott had said, well I put in my best laugh not really knowing if he really got that it was fake or not. Across the room I could see Ryan with his mom bowling, they looked like they were having such a good time, he was really a good son for hanging out with his mom.

When we were making our way to pay for the lanes he happened to look over, my breath caught in my throat seeing him look at us, I was hoping I looked perfect unconsciously wanting him looking at me. After ten seconds he looked away and went back talking to his mom, which in that time Jackson called her hot over ten times, with his girlfriend right next to him.

This was going to be a long night.
