Realized Potential

As the tree titan stretched out both of its arms, it released a flurry of whip-like tendrils that threatened to pierce the duo to death. Omo and Kenji seeing this, immediately part ways to avoid the oncoming onslaught. After running away for a bit, Omo began to charge straight towards Botan to deal as much damage as possible.

While the tendrils blasted towards him, he easily slashed and ripped them apart, never losing his momentum. As he drew closer towards the main body, however, blocking became more and more difficult. Eventually one of the tendrils pierced his left shoulder, while another went through his, right abdomen causing him to cough up blood.

Kenji seeing this shouted, "SENSEI!"

Ignorant of the pain, however, the beast human, grabbed both wooden piercers in each hand before shouting, "DEATH SPINNER."

As he did he quickly spun in a circular motion, tearing apart the tendrils as well as any others that came his way. He then turned his attention towards, the centre body as he began to trill to it at a terrifying speed. Botan in response, focused all of his power on slowing down, Omo all to no avail.

As he finally approached the torso of the wood titan, he made a great slash that exposed Botans main body temporarily, however, he quickly slammed him away knocking the teacher out. Before Omo fell unconscious however he shouted loudly, "DO IT KENJI!"

As he did, appearing from the smoke, was a beaten-up Kenji with his Cursed Technique ready. He then shouted as he slammed his gauntlet into Botan.

"THIS IS FOR TAORI, UNLIMITIED BLACK FLASH."

A great bolt of black lightning appeared as the gauntlet smashed into millions of different pieces. Botan was then sent flying out of his Wooden Titan, directly into the crumbling tower before crashing into the giant tree in the middle, leaving behind a crater.

As Kenji fell to the ground, the Tree giants remains slowly dissolved and fell apart signifying Botans' loss of control over them. Then looking towards the sky he weakly shouts, "I did it."

As he did, however, another tree root suddenly emerged from the ground, slamming into Kenji while knocking him away to a nearby building. As he did, he struggled to stand back up while noticing something strange going on in the tower.

A loud cackle emerged from the tower as it slowly collapsed and fell apart revealing a large towering but dead three that remained behind. In the center at the top was Botan who had several of its branches piercing into his arms and legs, pumping a strange yellow liquid into him.

He then shouted, "I can't use Reverse Cursed Technique, however by fusing myself to this tree, I can drain its' life force!"

As Kenji struggled to stand up he looked up at him while muttering under his breath, "Fuck me."

As he did, multiple tree roots emerged from the ground that weaved itself into, a giant hand the size of a building. It slowly approached Kenji threatening to crush him. He had no choice but to wait for his incoming death as his injuries made it difficult to move. A jarring smash followed by the sound of multiple bones breaking, could be heard as the palm slammed into the ground.

Botan then said, "Damn, I need the body to say intact so that Taori can recognize him. I hope that I didn't damage it too badly. Her teacher should be around here somewhere? I'll crush him too just to be safe."

As he twisted the whole tree to get a look at Omos' unconscious body, he was surprised to find nothing there. That is when he asked, "What's going on?"

Suddenly he felt a quick burst of killing intent that froze him in place temporarily. As gasped in shock a blood-stained blade suddenly pierced his chest. Just as it did a strange purple avatar made two slashes in his body, causing his blood to gush out.

As the sword was pulled out Botan shouted in shock, "Taori???"

She quickly jumped away from Botan as while digging her sword into the tree to slow her fall. Once she returned to the ground she quickly hid among the rubble.

Botan then thought, "When did Taori arrive on the battlefield??? In fact, how did she climb up me so fast? This shouldn't be physically possible for her, even if she was driven to kill. But that killing intent, wasn't one of rage, but rather that of calculated action. How the hell did she get so strong so fast??"

As he shouted from pain, he began to release his Cursed Energy which enveloped the tree. As it did a light green glow began to emerge from it, travelling all the way to Botan. As it went inside of him you could even see Botans, viens glow with that green light. The giant wound that was made on his chest quickly healed leaving behind a thin layer of scar tissue.

As Botan gasped for air he shouted, "TAORI, IF YOU'R GOING TO HIDE LIKE A COWARD THEN I WILL FIND YOU MYSELF!"

Now that Botan had become a part of the giant tree, it became considered an extension of his body. Thanks to this, once he expanded his simple domain, it would cover the entire radius that his tree roots also reached. As a result, he would be aware of the position of anything with Cursed Energy within a 300-metre radius.

Once his simple domain opened, he immediately sent spiked tree roots, to attack the three objects that he had sensed. Just before he could, he felt a terrifying mass of Cursed Energy at the trunk of his new body.

Taoris' Cursed Technique functioned by making a purple projection of herself out of Cursed Energy. By extension, she could replicate and increase the size of the slashes that she made. But now by using a binding vow to not project herself, she only projected her blade which had received a massive increase in size, thanks to the vow.

A massive purple blade the length of a football stadium suddenly appeared as Taori stood while holding the still-normal handle in one hand. She then said, "I never like this tree. It was as dry and crooked as you."

"Behemoth Blade!"

As she swung her sword, it swiftly cut the tree down in one great blow., severing Botan from his true source of power, the earth itself. The nutrients that Botan absorbed came from the earth, which granted him near bottomless levels of Cursed Energy, but now that his connection was served. You might as well have removed a heart from the human body.

As the large tree fell onto the earth, a great crash could be heard that reached even the city. The fall of this tree would mark the destruction of the Daihatsu clan, the largest assassin's organization.

As she breathed a heavy sigh of relief, she said quietly, "Goodbye Father."

A large partially destroyed wall suddenly fell over, revealing Kenji who carried the unconscious Omo on his shoulder.

Taori runs over to him while asking, "Are you guys okay?? I moved you as quickly as I could before Botan could notice."

Kenji struggling to stay awake said, "Wow, you're incredibly fast on your legs now aren't you? You defeated him in one hit too. Did you get stronger or something?"

 Taori simply responded, "I just learnt to fight again."

Kenji then suddenly fell to the ground while dropping the still unconscious Omo. Even as he hit his head on the floor he still remained in a deep sleep. As Kenji fell, however, Taori quickly rushed in to catch him.

As she saw that Kenji too had fallen asleep, she blushed and smiled a little before remembering, "I forgot about the server room!"

Before she could go check it quickly she heard someone shout in the distance, "HEY TAORI-SAN!"

As she turned around, "She saw Akumu flying in the distance, while carrying Urushi in both hands."

As they landed next to them he quickly asked, "What happened?"

Just before Taori could get a response the two then suddenly felt a burst of Cursed Energy in the distance. On top of the tree, the three could feel the Killing Intent of an incredibly angry man.

Taori stunned asked, "How did you survive that??? You should be dead by now??"

The somehow living Botan responded, "I sincerely thank you, my daughter. Thanks to you I have reached the next level of Jujutsu Sorcerery that I thought I would never be able to achieve. I used the Reverse Cursed Technique at the brink of death, to support my body after my connection to the earth had severed. Because of that, I was able to live a little longer."

As he boasted about his rebirth, Akumu quickly jumped onto the tree trunk while sprinting towards Botan. He knew that this man was bad news, so using the last of his Cursed Energy he fired a piercing black attack in hopes of defeating him while he was overconfident.

Then suddenly, a tree branch arises from the dead tree blocking the attack. Botan then suddenly appears in front of Akumu and delivers a gut punch sending him flying back to the ground.

"AKUMU!", Taori shouted.

Botan as a Jujutsu Sorcerer was incredibly powerful and talented. In fact, the only thing that stopped him from obtaining the rank of a special-grade sorcerer was his lifestyle. He never bothered to train that much, instead relying on his above-average cursed energy stores and his ability to suck the energy of the earth. Him inheriting the position of the Daihatsu leader, also meant that he never really needed to exert himself in combat so much. But now that he had been brought to the brink of death by Taori, Botan had been able to reach his maximum potential.

Botan shouted, "Domain Expansion: Blood Soaked Tree Of The Bountiful Forest."

A lush green forest surrounded the group encasing them in its warmth. In the centre was Botan who stood under, a crimson-red tree wrapped in white rope, that leaked blood from its pours.

Urushi muttered under his breath, "Shit."
