"What's my goal? People ask me all the time But it's pretty simple. To become a shinobi in the world of sorcerers. To become strong enough to dictate my own fate and to survive against the wickedness in this world. That is my goal. That is my creed and nothing will stop me.."
Tokyo...
The beautiful midday sun shone brilliantly upon the prominent architecture. Civilians walked to and fro around the magnificent city going about their daily duties, minding their own business..
While Tokyo wasn't short of beautiful and lively cities, Shinjuku certainly stood out amongst them all, popularly known for it's local nightlife and the tourist attraction sites.
Within a beautiful neighborhood, a small apartment stood in between a cluster of buildings, lonesome and unexpressive, just like its owner.
It's beautiful interior stood out, bearing traces of a traditional setting, with soft fluffy white futons nearly arranged around a small round glass table, while it's walls were adorned with beautiful crafting and antique paintings.
*BANG!*
*BANG!*
Within the basement, several heavy banging sounds reverberated forth, a half naked, handsome youth with taped knuckles continually punched and kicked into a punching bag, causing it to sway with every move.
His previously frail looking figure was still lean, yet it bore traces of rock hard muscles that stretched to generate force whenever he moved.
Executing a punch, he followed up with a knee strike, which instantly switched into a back heel kick, before he smiled and took in a deep breath.
Sasuke let out a breath after a moment and wiped his eyes of the sweat with his taped knuckles and reached out for a water bottle and a towel and then sat down to rest for a bit.
Things were currently looking good for him. Despite the fact that his life was in constant danger, this period was probably the most peaceful he'd ever been.
He was no longer homeless and had a beautiful apartment to his name with ample money gathered up.
Now, he wasn't materialistic, but a man's gotta have a place to lay his head, and sleeping atop buildings wasn't really appealing to him anymore.
He chose this specific building not just because of its beauty, but because of how open and because it was situated right in public.
The true essence of disguise was knowing how to hide in plain sight. No one would expect that one of the most notorious mercenaries of today was living comfortably in an apartment in Shinjuku, a couple of meters away from a market place.
He drank several mouthfuls of water, took out his phone and went straight to the call logs..
Something wasn't sitting right with him. Of course Mina hadn't failed to call today to remind him of their upcoming date tomorrow, but Mei hadn't called in a week or so and he hadn't still paid her.
He felt uncomfortable, but kept it bottled in. He knew she was strong and could handle herself no matter the situation so he refused to worry.
Putting the phone away, he placed his towel atop his head like a hoodie and then formed his hand into a seal, and took in a deep breath, closing his eyes and molding his cursed energy to form a violet sheath of flaming like cursed energy around his figure.
*CRACK!*
*CRACK!*
The next moment, streaks of purple lightning sparked to life around his body, bathing him in a surreal electrifying glow, akin to a deity. Slowly his eyes snapped open, filled with small streaks of purple lightning and he clenched his fists, feeling the immense power flowing within his body.
Flexing his right arm for a couple of moments, he simply punched out, and watched the air deform around his fist in shock, as a vacuum formed. This level of strength was unheard of and shocking even to him.
Taking a deep breath he canceled out the technique and smiled. He was making progress.
The purple lightning Jutsu had been mastered rather easily by him. After all, it was just another version of the chidori without the tunnel vision from the high speed movement. And using the essence of the purple lightning Jutsu as a foundation, he planned to incorporate the two Jutsus into one another, to form a perfect lightning chakra mode with purple lightning.
Due to these adjustments, his progress with the Purple lighting Chakra Mode was extremely slow, and he was currently moving at a snail's pace, yet, even with the small progress, the boost in stats from the Jutsu was far greater and would even surpass the boost provided by the Cursed Seal of Heaven's second state easily in no time.
But, there were multiple downsides to the technique. For one, it required precise and nigh godly control over his cursed energy to be able to manifest the technique, due to the fact that, the original LCM was manifested by stimulating several nerves in the brain with lightning.
Purple lightning was far more volatile than natural chakra lightning and could even be compared to natural lightning in terms of destructive capabilities. One wrong move and he could literally fry his brain and kill himself.
Without the Sharingan or six eyes, the chances of mastering this technique was even lesser than 15 percent even for an extremely talented sorcerer.
The other downside was that immense amounts of cursed energy would be required to sustain the technique for long, and even Sasuke fell short in this aspect. He has more than enough cursed energy, but the rate of consumption of the technique was so great that he would exhaust himself to death even in a few minutes.
It was nearly impractical to use at the moment.
The next technique that he has started researching and practicing was the Mitotic Regeneration: Hundred Healings Jutsu.
This Jutsu was going to be one of the most, if not the most important life saving measure in future. The Jutsu was incredibly complex and difficult to understand even for him, but after a few days of researching, he came to several conclusions.
Firstly, it was divided into two stages, or at least this version of it was..
The first stage was relatively simple for him and could be achieved easily with his current level of experience. Using the cursed seal of Heaven as a foundation to interact with sage energy, he could mold it, and fuse it with regular cursed energy to facilitate mitosis and heal himself from damage.
It sounded simple in theory, but it could be complex to anyone else apart from himself, since he could already fuse fragments of sage energy with his cursed energy.
The level of healing in this stage, while impressive was nowhere near the full realization of the technique. He could heal minor or major wounds, fractures, tears, incisions or punctures, but in order to be able to achieve that state of pseudo immortality where he could regenerate his limbs or heal extremely complex wounds, restore destroyed organs and organ systems or the crazy part; regenerate himself from a single cell..
He needed to combine sage energy with reverse cursed technique to achieve the second level and fully materialize the technique. It was simply that exaggerated. Sasuke now understood why it was known as the pinnacle of medical Jutsu in the Narutoverse.
Taking out a kunai, Sasuke grabbed onto the blade part and cut himself in the palm without flinching.
Placing the kunai beside him, he brought the injured palm to eye level, and began to meditate. Cursed energy bloomed around him like a rose, and slowly began to mold with fragments of nature energy around his body.
After fusing, he slowly focused on the wound and allowed the fused energy to pour into the cut and observed the experiment. Despite his eagerness, the results were clear. Nothing happened to the wound and this made him question his analysis.
"Was I wrong? Was save energy not the deciding factor? No. I can't be wrong.."
His Sharingan turned on and revolved, and he entered into a state of hyper focus, pulling onto the fragments of natural energy in the surroundings and fusing it with lesser and lesser amounts of cursed energy.
After about a minute, Sasuke paused, looked to the sky and took in a deep breath. It was not working.
He cut his losses, picked up his water bottle and towel and walked away..He had not gotten far when he stopped and his eyes lit up. The towel was in his injured hand, yet he felt no stinging sensation. He turned quickly and looked into his palm and his lips cracked into a small smile.
It worked....
