Jujutsu Kaisen: Exception

Shuichi, a normal man gets reincarnated to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen as a boy from the Zenin clan, except he gets thrown out of the clan as soon as he gets transmigrated. Unfortunate right? Well, lucky for him, he has a system to help him survive! How will a man with a system at hand change the world of jujutsu kaisen, and more importantly, those around him? . . . . JJK does not belong to me, I only own the oc. Some changes might be there, seeing as its a fanfic. The cover art is mine.

What makes a Sorcerer

Naobito sat alone on the balcony of a large japanese architectural pagoda.

The entire structure was 8 stories high, containing various rooms and halls meant for official gatherings and administration matters. Besides that, it also served as the resting place of the current family head, Zenin Naobito.

The soft rays of the evening sun impacted his face, painting a serene picture of an old man sitting in the sun set. His eyes were slightly unfocused as he drank sake from a gourd bottle. Some of the sake slithered down from his mouth, down to his robes.

Naobito sighed as he remembered the previous gathering; and various other gatherings before that; all of which had a similar subject of discussion, the wayward exiled member of the family, Zenin Shuichi.

Since a month after he had exiled Shuichi, Naobito had come across various surprises that were difficult for him to wrap his head around.

Zenin Shuichi, someone that had been talentless all his life, bullied for his uselessness and lack of any saving grace. And the current person he had turned out to be; someone that could refine cursed tools with frightening ease, even being able to make grade 1 tools in just two days, listed as a grade 1 sorcerer with an unknown technique, a master of barrier arts and above all, someone that could touch and allegedly, even capable of defeating Gojo Satoru.

It doesn't make any sense. He mused as he thought about the more than unnatural situation of the young man in question. The Jujutsu world was always one for certain exceptions. And as the clan head of the clan that held someone like Toji, he was all the more accepting of such things.

However, for the life of him, he could not figure out how such a thing was even possible.

He had, at one point in life, personally decided to train Shuichi, hoping to cause trauma in order to increase his natural cursed energy reserves, if only slightly above average. From there he accurately judged the level at which Shuichi had stood at.

It was precisely because of this that he could not wrap his head around the entire thing.

He sighed again. He seemed to be sighing a lot these days...

His thoughts drifted to the meeting that had just taken place.

He stayed silent, quietly musing the entire conversation.

As a clan head, he needed to be mindful of the words of the elders. That was the reason he has actually agreed to their more than unreasonable request to order Shuichi to come back and explain himself.

Sometimes, he too wondered what went on in the minds of the elders. Well, cursed energy was degenerative by nature, so perhaps that impacted their brain with age.

Anyways, he did not think for a moment that Shuichi would simply walk into the clan and join them back while spilling them all of his secrets.

Although he too was plenty curious about his strange increase in power, he had yet planned to approach the situation at a smarter standpoint, being a bit more professional. As for now... what would go on in the next few days after Shuichi does get invited was to be seen.

Whatever, I'll handle it when it comes to it. He thought, taking another sip from the gourd.

The next day came quickly. The morning passed in a breeze as Shuichi, with a group of 7 people in tow walked towards his workshop.

The workshop was right beside his actual house, standing right beside it as a shed that was not too large. It looked to be like a typical shed, the size of a garage; not at all like the spacious hall that his workshop looked to be on the inside.

The 7 people that walked behind him all had somewhat terrified expression as they gazed at his back. Their eyes were contemplative and thoughtful as they looked about the garden.

Shuichi stopped in front of the door to his workshop, speaking, "Brace yourself for what you're about to witness."

With that, he opened the door.

As the interior came into view, the people behind him widened their eyes in bafflement.

The interior of the shed was enormous, completely unlike anything the exterior would suggest. Inside was more like a gigantic hall with all sorts of tables, chairs, chambers, compartments and the like. An expansion of space inside the workshop.

"W-what in the..."

"What is this?"

"W-woah!"

Shuichi smiled, pleased at their expressions.

The workshop had the space expansion after his necklace had been returned from Gojo Satoru. The complete information of Gojo's limitless technique allowed him to create cursed tools that could warp space inside of specific closed off territories.

It was the first official special grade object he had added to his workshop, named [Uchuu-Ma]*.

It was a small Furin wind chime that hung right beside the door of the workshop. The tool itself was connected into the hivemind of the workshop that connected itself to Records of Tenjin. As such, in actuality, the tool itself or at least it's functional ability lied inside the workshop. The physically present wind chime that hung outside the door was only there as a symbolic representation of the tool.

Meaning, not only would nobody actually be able to figure out that it was a cursed tool, but even if they actually took it off the space expansion wouldn't collapse and the wind chime would become useless.

However, because of that symbolism associated with it, if the physical aspect of the tool was removed, the space inside would become chaotic.

He looked towards the 7 people that had entered the workshop and stood huddled together right before the door. They didn't dare move or touch something without permission.

These people were the Yakuza members that Ryouta had promised him.

4 were the people he had beat up that actually managed to awaken cursed energy sense. 2 were those that despite being beaten were unable to awaken. While the last was a normal person that he hadn't yet beaten up.

All in all, he would be conducting some tests with them, using the new addition to his workshop, Eye of the Small Man.

He had especially went to the hospital the people he beat up were admitted to and personally healed them using reverse cursed technique for good measure. If not for that, they would have taken about 1 more month of care and 4 to 5 months of rehabilitation and psychomotor training afterwards to get back to prime health.

Reverse cursed technique is truly a cheat like no other. Shuichi thought, pleased with his newly added ability to do rct.

"Right this way, people." He said, leading them further into the workshop.

The men looked around in wonder, gazing at the various cold and rare hot weapons kept all around the workshop. The 4 people who had managed to awaken, although knew that the entire workshop was filled to the brim with the same strange energy they had learned to perceive; it was invariably suppressed. Even they themselves, who always saw everyone around them and their own bodies emitting a strange blue hue to the outside environment couldn't see it any longer.

No, that would not be accurate to say. It would be more accurate to say that it had been utterly suppressed upon their entry to this place.

All bouts of 'cursed energy' that suffused out into the surroundings had completely disappeared; to the point that they could no longer 'feel' any ambient cursed energy at all.

"Well, let's get to it I guess..." Shuichi's voice broke them out of their trance as they looked towards him. Shuchi stopped in front of a small depression in the ground, lined by various circular kanji writings and symbols.

With a mental command from him, the structure of the circular depression changed, writhing and spinning in concentric forms.

The center of the depression descended into the ground, revealing a basketball sized hole into the ground. From the hole, a pillar gradually came outside, holding a football sized sphere at the top.

Eye of the Small Man!

"This, my friends, is one of the most useful cursed tools in my possession. I call it the eye of the small man." Shuichi paused, most likely to add to the dramatic effect. "This will tell us exactly what makes sorcerers click. What is the difference between a sorcerer and a normal human and the exact reason only some people can see cursed and control cursed energy.

"This.. will tell us what makes a sorcerer." His arms spread open widely as if to praise the sun. As he proclaimed his creation to the onlookers, the mystical sphere glowed with a supernatural and otherworldly grandeur; emitting a brilliant white hue onto the surroundings and saturating the surrounding colors.

Shuichi's eyes scanned the expressions of amazement on the faces of the 7 men. He felt giddy looking at them being so flabbergasted and awed. It would seem he liked being showy...

"Now, the first test su- ahem*, the first soon to be sorcerer, please step forward!" Shuichi spoke with over the top moments, as if directing a large orchestra or controlling a circus play as the ringmaster.

The 7 men immediately braced themselves for whatever was to come.

Although there was a sense of foreboding for what would happen to them, there was also a sense of... greed. A feeling of desire for the power that they could achieve. And solely because of that feeling, one of the braver man stepped forward. His expression a bit unsure.

As he stepped figure, Shuichi observed his somewhat weird expression. Ignoring whatever thoughts and internal monologues that the man seemed to be having, Shuichi told him to simply place his hand on top of the orb.

As his hand touched the sphere, a blue flame slowly creeped out of the orb, enveloping the man in an ethereal blue light. The entire process went on for about 30 seconds before it eventually died down.

Afterwards, all of the other men went over and did the same afterwards. The entire process did not take more than 5 minutes.

After that, a Shuichi took the 7 men to the mansion where they played card and explained to them about the cursed jujutsu world and the basic principles of jujutsu.

The next day...

Shuichi sat alone in his workshop like always, looking at a set of inscriptions on the table in front of him.

The table also held various body diagrams as well as information about the human neural pathways and the highlighted parts of the central nervous system; including mainly the forebrain and the midbrain.

Looking the the various charts and analyzing the information in his mind, Shuichi hummed a pleasant tone, a small smile gracing his lips.

I've finally got it. The secret that makes a sorcerer...
