Jujutsu Kaisen: Exception

Shuichi, a normal man gets reincarnated to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen as a boy from the Zenin clan, except he gets thrown out of the clan as soon as he gets transmigrated. Unfortunate right? Well, lucky for him, he has a system to help him survive! How will a man with a system at hand change the world of jujutsu kaisen, and more importantly, those around him? . . . . JJK does not belong to me, I only own the oc. Some changes might be there, seeing as its a fanfic. The cover art is mine.

Money making ways

Over the course of the next 4 days, Shuichi had just one simple routine. Wake up, freshen up, eat to his heart's content, train for a bit in a secluded warehouse that he had found, eat again, come home and sleep like a log.

The same routine faded out into a monotonous blur, but Shuichi continued to make the best use of it all.

His predecessor was bad at everything curse related, but he had some effective training methods... For him that is. Now that the entire body type of Shuichi had changed due to his cursed techniques, becoming more muscular and packed with power, he needed some better training methods.

Cursed energy itself can elevate his power beyond all human limits but having a strong body doesn't hurt. The higher the base physical stats, the better the increase will be while using cursed energy.

And his training was paying off... to some extent... at least he thinks... probably... maybe...

The increase of his cursed energy control was also phenomenal. His proficiency had broken through the 500 barrier just the day before, and it would be safe to say that every time a skill reaches 500 proficiency, it receives a qualitative boost. When Shuichi passed that barrier, he received another piece of enlightenment about the nature of curse energy. Promoting him to a higher level of ability in the world of jujutsu sorcery.

As of now, his Cursed Energy control was at 520.

Anyway, with the amount of food that he had been eating these couple of days, he calculated that he would run out of the remainder of his money in about a month's worth of time, give or take.

Given that, finding a way to make some money was a must. At first, he thought of going the generic reincarnator way. Making the various famous media in his old world here. But to his immense disappointment, the famous franchises already existed. He did not know a lot of anime and stuff. Only the OGs, like Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, etc.

He did read a lot of novels but they were far too complicated for him to copy. Not that he would be able to copy anything anyway. His memory was... not that great when it came to things like manga. Not to mention that his drawing was not at that level.

So the idea of making something like manga or novels was thrown out of the window. The next best option he had was to get a job at some store. An option that he didn't really want to take.

Too much work for too little pay...

The third option was to open his own shop, which he was considering doing.

And the final option, using his name which had the word 'Zenin' in it to get some money. Now this was something he truly wasn't willing to do. It might be his pride speaking of him, since logically speaking, doing that would be the most optimal course of action. He could make a lot of money without even doing that much work.

But now that he was out of the clan, he wanted to have nothing to do with it. He might've already changed his name, but he decided to honor his predecessor and not change it. But as it was, he didn't want to use the name of the clan to his benefit. Call it illogical thinking or stupidity.

And so, the only option left for him was to make his own business!

And he had just the type of service that he would provide his customers with!

Which was ridding them of cursed spirits!

Obviously, considering that cursed spirits were an actual thing and not just folklore, superstition was very widely spread. Almost every 5th person somewhat contemplated about the existence of the supernatural, especially in Japan where the cursed energy was plentiful.

As such, traditions and objects that are helpful in warding off negative energy were very popular. Talismans that claimed to do that also went for a respectable sum.

Obviously, people won't just buy talismans from a random guy. It had to be from a pretty famous and respectable source. The three great families also profited a lot from these kinds of businesses.

And now that Shuichi had received enlightenment and was able to control his cursed energy to a high degree, he was sure that he would be able to make talismans if he so desired. But the most important part of this would be to have a base of operation and a way to get some popularity among the locals.

And so, Shuichi got to work.

The popularity would continue to grow as his business progressed. All he would need would be a couple of people plagued by curses, and upon helping them, word would spread and his shop will be swarmed by people from all over Japan!

...Okay, that might be pushing it a bit too far.

But anyway, the first thing Shuichi did was set up a website.

Which was... surprisingly hard to do. Internet wasn't all that well developed yet, meaning that even doing the most basic things that modern people do requires a large amount of computing power. Not to mention the computers of this age looked like giant cardboard boxes to Shuichi. But that might just be due to him living all his life in the modern era. Now that he was in another world, in the past no less, it was not that enjoyable. Technology played a crucial role in the life of modern man after all.

After spending about 2 hours figuring stuff out while sitting in an internet cafe, a relatively rare place during the time, he was finally able to set up the website. Though after he created it, Shuichi felt like it was a waste of time. Internet was underdeveloped and thus, it was not easily available to the majority of the world's population, no one was going to take a look at this anyway.

But with a sigh, Shuichi completed the website anyway. It would be a shame to have to spend all that time in the cafe to complete the work, only to discard the project at the last second no?

Finishing the website, he named it 'The House of Supernatural'. A name that he had come up with on the spot. He felt that it was short and perfectly summarized his line of work and the type of service he would be providing.

And with that, the only thing left to do was setting up a base of operation and wait for viti- ahem*, customers to show up.

The next 2 days consisted of Shuichi and the real estate broker that helped him search for his cheap house, going around to scout different locations for his shop.

What Shuichi needed was a small shop which could be served as a comfortable meeting place for him and his clients.

As such, the structure itself did not need to be too big. It also needed to have the most basic necessities, like bathrooms and a kitchen.

And the most important point was, it needed to be in a fairly populated area. Anywhere within Tokyo would be fine. Higher population surrounding him means more and more cursed energy that leaks out, and that results in more curses being born, which in turn would increase the amount of customers he would get. Well, that was on the prospect that he would get any customers to begin with but Shuichi didn't let that pessimistic thought bother him.

He could always just... rob some rich guy or turn into a bounty hunter or an hired mercenary right?

With his rapidly growing strength getting some popularity would not be too much of a problem.

At that point, many people would be running around to hire him.

Anyway, after about a day or so of searching, they finally would a place to set up his office in. The pay was also very cheap. It was one of the conditions he had set when searching for a place, it had to be cheap.

Everything else was secondary.

Anyway, after the transactions were completed, Shuichi could officially open up his shop at this moment.

And so, for the rest of the day, he spent his time working on the various things that he would need to set up in order to make the building more presentable.

The shop was at the periphery of the city, but that still meant a lot of people passed by. The entirety of Tokyo was widely populated, not just the center.

The next day, a brand new shop was opened up in the giant and bustling city of Tokyo.

'The House of Supernatural', the board on the top read.

Standing outside of the shop, Shuichi felt nothing but pride for himself.

"Finally! Now I can get to making some money!"

The interior of the shop was nothing special. It was just a simple room with half of the room being raised a bit off the ground. The raised platform was also covered with light green carpet of questionable quality. Aside of the structure of the room, it contained various things such as a TV, an air conditioner, and... yeah that's pretty much it.

The room connected to two more rooms, one of which was the kitchen and the other was the bathroom.

As bland as the entire thing felt, Shuichi was satisfied with it.

'Now, I just need for some customers to come here.'

And so he waited...

For the entire day.

"...This is so boring..." Shuichi whispered to himself as he switched off the TV. Normally, he could stay in a room for the entire day just watching movies, but the problem was, not a single movie of his interest was being aired. And anime at this point had shit animation!

Shuichi was feeling annoyed that not a single customer came to his shop. Well, obviously no one would come to a shop that's just been opened. But the thing is, human emotions hardly ever operate by logic.

'I'll just go and hunt some cursed spirits for the night.' Thinking of ways to relieve some of his annoyance, Shuichi decided that he should hunt some curses.

The previous time when he decided to go curse hunting, murphy's law decided to fuck him over. But this time, he was a lot stronger than before. Even if he encountered a curse of that caliber again, he was sure that it wouldn't take that much effort to defeat it.

After all, every normal curse was easy to kill. The real problem were those that had manifested a cursed technique.

And so, Shuichi decided to go to a nearby graveyard for the hunt.

Graveyards were a place that had the most amount of new spirits born, even beating places like schools and hospitals. There can be various cursed spirits of a lot of varieties, their strength ranging from grade 4 to grade 2.

Anyway, with his brand new cursed technique [Hard to Kill] Shuichi was not worried. Although the technique had yet to show him any type of substantial growth, it was bound to show some effects when he got into a fight with curses right?

In fact, Shuichi was not yet aware of the fact that the technique was showing its effect 24/7. From the minute fluctuations of his cursed energy to the increase in his physical strength, everything was being slowly streamlined by it. It was just that the increase was too small for him to notice with his average control over cursed energy.

Locking the shop for the night and getting into a deserted alleyway some distance away, Shuichi jumped up the building on the side.

With a single leap that used nothing but his physical strength, he was able to leap up a three-storey building.

As he landed softly onto the top of the structure, he dashed in a particular direction with impressive amounts of speeds.

Zoooom*

With a whirl of wind behind him, Shuichi's figure disappeared into a blur, becoming invisible to the normal eye.

He dashed atop the different buildings, jumping from one rooftop to the other, going towards a predetermined destination.

'Parkour always feels great...' He thought while jumping away from another rooftop.

This was obviously not the first time he had done this. He had tried it a lot of times to get an idea of his physical state.

And sure enough, the increase in his strength was downright unfair. This type of speed could only be achieved by him when he used cursed energy reinforcement at full capacity, like when he fought the semi-second grade spirit.

But now, he could achieve such speeds with pure physical might.

It did make him wonder what level of strength he would attain if his technique just kept on nourishing his body.
