Jujutsu Kaisen: Divergence

Bored with his life, a man wishes to reincarnate in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen as Fushiguro Megumi. He had some cheats to back him up and change the course of the plot. He doesn't care what his actions might cause in the plotline since his primary goal is to live an interesting and eventful life. **** A/N: - Harem: Yes, but members are undecided. I maybe can go solo romance as well. Is the protagonist strong? Yes, to the point that he can defeat a mob Special grade from Chapter Third. Is there Ntr, Yaoi, or Yuri? Strictly, no. I hate those shits. Any question will be answered once the first review drops by. Happy reading~

Chapter 8- Clan Head?

It hasn't been too long since Nobara came in contact with Megumi. Give and take, half a month at most.

Although they both have formed some kind of relationship that was above acquaintance and below true friendship, Megumi still wasn't on that bad terms with the girl to blatantly ignore her.

As such, he followed her to the nearby training ground and a good while faced a clearly annoyed Kugisaki Nobara.

Megumi waited for almost a minute before finally, she began, "Why did you tell us to run away from the Cursed Spirit? And how come, a Grade Two sorcerer was able to exorcise a Special Grade?"

This was something that not only Nobara but many more would wonder about. The higher-ups and the Zen'in clan for example. Given how Gojo Satoru was 'concerned' about Megumi some days ago, he needed to better create some kind of excuse for his self-defense.

The jujutsu world was cursed. They couldn't see someone rising to a newer height without disclosing their secret of development. Although Gojo Satoru was free of such malice to a decent extent, some triggers could even put him on the other side.

"Why do you want to know?"

"I just don't like being told that I am coming in the way. That I need to be left out."

Megumi narrowed his eyes at the response. Although he was aware of Nobara's past and the introspections she might be going through, he couldn't fathom how she was shouting at him to save her life.

It wasn't just Megumi but Nobara was feeling unreasonable, yelling at Megumi for something that he did out of goodwill. In place of thanks, she was blaming him for being weak herself.

"Nobara." Hearing his serene voice, Kugisaki's inner turmoil suddenly dissipated as she heard him voicing something out of nowhere,

"If you don't like being left alone, why not make yourself important enough, that people can no longer abandon you?"

"!!!"

Nobara's eyes widened for a moment as she thought about whether Megumi had any knowledge about her life before Jujutsu High. However, she soon calmed down upon closer inspection.

There was no way, a country bumpkin like her would garner attention from others.

She reflected on his words for a moment before a smirk elevated her lips before she declared, "Next time, I will be the one leading the team."

Megumi smiled at that, as he responded, "I am looking forward to that."

Saving the lives of two sorcerers and killing the evil Spirit grants Megumi fifty Karma Points. In a way, it was a fair deal; after all, he would have saved Yuji from getting his heart crushed by Sukuna even without the greed of Karma Points.

Although he was sure that Sukuna would somehow tie a contract with Yuji shortly, he could at least stop those events that he was aware of.

Returning to his room, Megumi walked into the shower as some words seeped through his lips,

"Megumi's personality sure has influenced me..." Although there was nothing unsavory about it, in the long run, Megumi might be hindered because of his emotional attachment to the people around him.

His excessive concern for Tsumiki was already a burden, and now, these friends and other people.

"Haah....I will just do what I can..." The next event that was about to transpire was with the patch-faced cursed spirit—Mahito.

Since Itadori wasn't declared dead the canon event of his training along with Nanami was altered. As such, Mahito wouldn't go through the development of challenging the King of Curses.

Although Junpei's death was inevitable, Itadori's growth would be stagnant this way.

"What can I do..." With those thoughts, Megumi finished bathing and went to have dinner.

Planning for the future was way too exhausting than physical work—Megumi muttered inwardly.

[At the same time]

Inside a traditional Japanese house, sat a group of six men inside a room, with a mutual grim expression shared by all of them.

The man sitting at the head position, had a slim build and a high ponytail over his head as he started the meeting,

"The reason for this sudden meeting resides in the fact that Fushiguro Megumi has recently slain a Special Grade Cursed Spirit with his team." Hearing the man's words, a young man beside him with dark green hair, snickered.

"Team you say. I am pretty sure he handled everything on his own, as per what report I received."

The old man didn't refute the speaker. It was true that two other teammates of Megumi had left the detention center before Megumi. And given how Megumi came out alive and unscathed, it was given that he overwhelmed his enemy.

"Whatever we discuss, doesn't matter. Until the clan head has decided to put the Ten Shadow user as the next patriarch, there is nothing we can do."

Hearing those words, a strange silence permeated across the room. Although the condition Naobito put in, to make Megumi the next head was unreal and highly impossible to occur, there still was a chance.

After all, a person with the renowned technique of the Zen'in clan was destined to reign in supremacy.

After a short pause, finally, the man with the ponytail finally spoke up,

"If Fushiguro Megumi desires to become the next head, then he has to go through some trials. And those trials would be on our conditions."

[July 28th]

Early in the morning, Megumi was running around the field with steady strides. No sweat or sign of exhaustion could be found on his visage, even though he had been sprinting for the past forty-five minutes.

It was then when suddenly, he sensed someone's presence and brought a halt to his feet.

Narrowing his gaze, he was about to bring his palms closer and summon his Shikigami, when suddenly, someone put a hand on his shoulder.

"Easy there, Megumi."

Megumi stopped midway, as he told the person,

"You don't need to sneak on me, Sensei." Turning around, the familiar blindfold-wearing man with silver hair could be seen standing there.

"Your senses have improved." Gojo complimented his students since there were not many people in the world who could perceive his presence until Gojo himself didn't let them know.

Megumi didn't say anything about that, but asked something entirely different, "So? What do you need from me?"

Megumi knew what could be this about and as such, he was already preparing himself to face the higher-ups.

Gojo remained silent for a moment, a smile never leaving his face. Although he was going to discuss something else, something piqued his interest as the man suggested,

"How about we spar a bit for your training, Megumi-chan?"
