Ch.32 Ruby Vs Alicia

"If you say so, Sir Vayu."

Neo replied as he looked at both of the girls getting ready, Ruby took out her personal greatsword, and Alicia her own rapier.

The greatsword was three times her current height but she was holding it quite comfortably, the fiery red greatsword blazed with flames as Ruby gave a casual swing.

The greatsword's powers were at full display as the flames created by that casual swing even charred the ground beneath her.

The weapon's name was "Crimson Sun" one of the legendary weapons in possession of the Solious family and now the weapon of Ruby Solious.

As for the silver rapier wielded by Alicia, it was also by no means a weak weapon as it also ranked in the Legendary category, the name of it being "All-Star" though it currently goes by "Frost Star" due to its nature of being influenced by its wielder.

"They really are going all out."

Vayu muttered in a surprised tone as he wasn't expecting this fight to become so serious, if it played out as he thought it would the training ground may be destroyed.

"Sigh, Kids these days."

Vayu sighed as he tapped the ground and infused it with his mana, as of on command the runes engraved on the ground came to life as before their very eyes it began to expand.

Reaching a size ten times bigger than before it stopped as trees started to appear throughout, although the two fighters were surprised by this they didn't give it much thought as they started to put on their armor.

The armor worn by both of them only ranked at five-star but it should still be enough to survive this fight.

"So who do you think will win?"

Vayu questioned as he finished his job and sat next to Neo who was looking at the expanded ground in front of him.

"Depends on the rules of the battle. Are they fighting while keeping their mana rank at an equal level or not?"

Neo replied as he continued to monitor both of them looking at their behaviors after all this was one of the best times for him to learn.

"They are not keeping it at an equal level."

Vayu said as he remembered trying to stop this madness but the one who decided to have this rule was Ruby the one with the lower mana rank so he really couldn't do anything.

"Then Sister Alicia will win, after all, no matter how much more skilled Ruby is than Alicia their rank difference is still high."

Neo gave his judgment as he looked at Vayu's face, there was no change in his looks as he had accepted this answer from Neo. After all a "Middle Stage Mana Foundation" defeating a "Late Stage Mana Star" rank is just a pipe dream.

With that out of the way, silence followed as both Neo and Vayu started to put their full focus on the coming fight.

Although they were separated by quite a distance and blocked by many trees both Ruby and Alicia could feel each other's mana.

"Ahhh...Hoooooo"

Taking deep breaths to calm her nerves Ruby held the grip of her greatsword tightly as she flared her mana up. This was the announcement that the fight had begun.

Casting all the enhancement spells she knew Ruby got ready for battle as the ground below her started to burn due to the intensity of her mana.

Feeling Ruby's mana flaring up Alicia also got ready, putting her mana level at the peak of Mana Foundation rank she got ready for battle.

After all, even if they said they would fight with full strength she doesn't have to follow it, plus if she does use her full power this fight will become too one-sided.

<Ice Creation>

Casting a passive spell that allows her to create ice constructs without having to use any other spells she got ready for battle.

Alicia knows that in terms of matchup, she can be said to be at a disadvantage as Ruby is a better swordswoman than her and her "Sun Magic" counters Alicia's specialty "Frost Magic".

Now with both of them giving the signal the fight officially began.

Seeing the signal from Sis Alicia I put strength in my leg as with a burst of power I move forward, with a swing of my greatsword all the trees in front of me have burned away as I make my way toward a sister.

I know I am at a disadvantage so I will have to give it my 100%, so no holding back.

"Good choice."

I hear my sister's voice praising me as the ice starts to cover the entire surroundings, in front of me, my sister stands with her rapier pointing at me.

"But I am not going down easy."

She continues with a motion of her hands the ground erupts as spikes created by ice try to pierce me from all sides.

<Solious Sword technique- Flame Wheel>

Griping my weapon with all of my strength I give it a swing in all directions so fast that for others it will look like it happened in an instant.

The heated air pressure released by my attack destroyed the attack thrown at me with ease as they continued on their destructive ways.

"Neither am I."

I say as I jump up from the ground and swing my greatsword at her as flames start to cover it.

<Solious Sword technique- Flame Rupture>

Boooooooooooom!!!

As my sword made contact with the ground as sis Alicia had dodged the attack, flames started to emerge, and with a big sound of an explosion the ground beneath me caved down.

"Too slow."

With that voice being whispered in my eyes my senses warn me of the danger approaching me, moving my body just enough so that the rapier misses me I counter her attack with a swing of my own.

Ice appears between my attack and her body as it slows it down just enough for her to escape.

Not letting the opportunity slip by I put my magic through the sword as it charged up the flames and with a beam made of pure red flames it fired forward from the tip of the sword.

<Frost Magic: Frozen world>

Casting one of the strongest spells in her arsenal Alicia backs down as she tries to save herself from the dreadful attack thrown by Ruby.

The beam of pure red flames that melted the ground itself was coming toward her and if she was hit by it she would sustain some grave injuries.

A massive wall of ice was created in front of her as it touched the ceiling of the training ground itself as if separating both Alicia and Ruby.

The beam of flames made contact with the wall of ice as a clash of titans happened, the flames trying to melt the ice and the ice trying to stop the flames.

Within a few seconds of such a clash, the winner was seen as a massive hole was created in the ice wall but the flames had also been extinguished.

"I forgot she could do that attack."

Alicia muttered as she looked at the figure of Ruby through the massive hole in the wall as she pointed the massive greatsword at her.

This situation was somewhat her fault as she didn't take into account that Ruby had such type of attack due to being bad at magic.

"Did you like the attack?"

Ruby said in a cheerful voice as she rushed toward Alicia again, hearing her comment and tone of voice Alicia's eyes twitched a little.

'It must be Neo's influence.'

She complained in her heart as she looked at the little girl trying to get her to lose her composure.

'No, if it was Neo, he couldn't do such simple tricks.'

Alicia added to her thoughts as ice mana started to converge around her.
