Ch 2

Amidst the unfamiliarity of an unknown forest, Charlie's body began to shift.

'Cold... did I forget to close my window before going to sleep last night?' he pondered, a shiver coursing through his body. As a gust of wind ruffled his surroundings, he reluctantly opened his eyes. Instead of the comfort of his bedroom ceiling, he found himself beneath a clear blue sky with the sun casting its radiant glow upon him.

"Huh?... Did I sleep outside yesterday?" Charlie muttered, his voice thick with confusion. He squinted against the sun's rays, raising his hand to shield his eyes, only to realize that he was wearing a peculiar metal gauntlet. Panic started to seep in as he hastily got to his feet, scanning himself for answers.

To his bewilderment, he was clad in an attire he didn't recognize—a black and white tunic with blue accents, sturdy black pants, thigh-high armored boots, a short white cape trimmed in black, and a set of faulds cinched at his waist. He couldn't ignore the presence of a familiar sword scabbard hanging at his left side, and peculiar red markings adorned his right gloved arm.

"Wha... Is that Charlemagne's sword... How the hell did I get here? Matter of fact, where even is here?" Charlie voiced his escalating confusion, his mind racing to make sense of the surreal situation. Then, it hit him with a jolt of realization. "THAT WEBSITE WAS REAL?!!" he exclaimed, the memories of the previous day's events flooding back into his consciousness.

With a growing mix of anxiety and excitement, I remembered the website's mention of a status window. My fingers quickly navigated the virtual menu, my heart pounding with anticipation. However, as my eyes scanned the window, a sense of disappointment slowly crept in. "Aww, come on!" I shouted in frustration. Many of the skills and abilities were locked, leaving me with a feeling of inadequacy. "Well, at least I could still unlock them, and thankfully, my Stats should be high enough to survive in this world," I sighed, finally accepting my current reality. But there was another question that loomed in my mind, "Wait... which world am I in? Hopefully, it's not somewhere unreasonable like the DBZ world. Well, what should I do now... Probably need to find some water and a shelter and then test out my abilities."

As I pondered my next course of action, the immediate need for water became evident. In this unknown and potentially hostile environment, securing a source of clean water was paramount for my survival. I mentally organized my thoughts, acknowledging that this was the most rational step given my current predicament.

After a brisk trek through the unfamiliar forest, I eventually stumbled upon a serene river. It flowed peacefully, mirroring the vibrant hues of the surrounding flora. Thirst gnawed at me, and a sense of unease lingered, but I knew I couldn't afford to be cautious here. Kneeling down by the riverbank, I dipped my hands into the crystal-clear water. Cupping it in my palms, I hesitated for a moment before bringing it to my lips.

The first cautious sips were a revelation. The water was pure and revitalizing, quenching my throat and filling me with a brief sense of relief. But as I continued to drink, something strange happened—I couldn't escape the weight of my situation, yet I was feeling excited rather than disheartened. It struck me as odd. 'Huh, why am I feeling this way? I should be terrified, terrified of this unknown world, terrified of the future. But all I can feel is excitement,' I thought to myself as I reached a hand to my face. I couldn't help but notice that I was smiling. 'Am I really smiling?' I wondered, and when I glanced at the river's reflection, I saw a handsome young man with black and white hair, blue eyes, and a genuine smile that seemed to reflect my newfound optimism.

My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of heavy footsteps behind me. I turned around and my eyes widened in shock as I laid eyes on a monstrous creature, unlike anything I had ever seen. It resembled a primate but was far more imposing, with its green fur and purple skin. Its facial features were distinctive, boasting elongated chins, pointed heads that resembled a single horn, and ears that stretched outward. The most intimidating aspect of this creature, however, was its massive arms and disproportionately large hands, which were attached to its muscular torso.

"What the hell is that?" I exclaimed, my mind racing as I tried to sift through all the anime and stories I had watched or read to identify this monstrous entity and, hopefully, uncover any potential weaknesses it might have. To my dismay, my memory failed me, and I couldn't recall any information about this creature or its vulnerabilities.

As the monstrous creature loomed closer, its heavy footsteps resonating through the forest, I braced myself for an impending confrontation. Panic and excitement gnawed at me as I struggled to remember any relevant skills or abilities from the characters I had chosen. The forest seemed eerily silent, amplifying the intensity of the moment. "Come at me!" I shout at him my voice filled with confidence for some reason.

to my surprise, the creature replied "Me no like male human, Me kill you!" it shouted and With a sudden burst of speed, the creature closed the distance between us, its massive, muscular arms raised menacingly. My instincts kicked in, and without thinking, I ducked to the side, narrowly avoiding its first strike. But I couldn't control my newfound strength and speed. With a swift, uncontrolled movement, I crashed headfirst into the ground, sending dirt and leaves scattering around me.

The impact knocked the wind out of me, and for a moment, everything seemed hazy and disorienting. As I struggled to regain my senses, the creature seized the opportunity. It grabbed me by my feet, lifting me high into the air with little effort, and with a fearsome growl, it hurled me through the forest like a ragdoll.

As I spiraled through the air, my body helplessly out of control, I couldn't help but brace for the impending impact. The crash into a cluster of trees was bone-jarring, leaving me dazed and battered, my body aching a bit but miraculously intact. Pain pulsed through me as I pushed myself to my feet, my senses reeling from the tumultuous encounter.

Yet, within the chaos, something stirred deep within me—a surge of determination and resilience. My fingers clenched around the hilt of Charlemagne's sword, and with a swift, fluid motion, I drew the blade. At that moment, an inexplicable connection formed between me and the weapon, as if it had become an extension of my very being.

The monstrous creature, undeterred by my resilience, continued to approach. But something had changed within me. My movements were no longer guided by fear or uncertainty. With newfound confidence coursing through my veins, I charged forward, propelled by a speed and precision that even surprised me. I closed the gap between us in an instant, my every step calculated and purposeful.

As I neared the creature, I raised the sword high, my grip firm and unwavering. With a single, swift slash, I cleaved through the creature's thick neck. Time seemed to slow as I witnessed the grotesque display of power. The monstrous being's body fell to the ground, its eyes reflecting a mixture of shock and defeat. It released one final, gurgling growl before collapsing into a lifeless heap.

Standing amidst the aftermath, my chest heaved with exertion and adrenaline. The blade of Charlemagne's sword dripped with the strange, purple blood of the fallen creature.

"Hah, hah, hah... THAT WAS SO COOL!!" I couldn't contain my excitement, and the words burst out of me like a victorious battle cry. The rush of adrenaline coursing through my veins was unlike anything I had ever experienced in my previous life. It was exhilarating, a sensation that left me craving for more.

As I stood there, my heart still racing from the intense encounter, a profound realization washed over me. "Now I know why Charlemagne was obsessed with doing cool things. That was the best feeling I have ever felt!" I thought to myself. The thirst for adventure and the thrill of the unknown had taken hold of me, and I couldn't wait to see what other challenges and exhilarating moments lay ahead in this strange new world.

*Swordsmanship Mastery lvl 2 achieved*

I smiled as I read the notification but My exhilaration was suddenly interrupted by the loud rumbling of my stomach. The realization that I was hungry hit me like a ton of bricks. "Guess I should start a campfire and cook this thing, whatever it is," I muttered, referring to the monstrous creature that had attacked me.

I began by gathering dry wood, searching the forest for suitable materials to create a campfire. Once I had collected enough, I set about the task of starting the fire. With my newfound strength and agility, I twirled a stick on the wood so rapidly that it ignited instantly. The flames roared to life, casting a warm and comforting glow.

"Whoa!" I shouted in amazement, startled by the intensity of the fire. "I really need to figure out how to control my strength," I mused aloud. It was clear that my abilities were still untamed and uncontrollable.

With the campfire burning steadily, I turned my attention to the creature's carcass. I carefully cut it up, removing its hide and draining the strange, purple blood. The creature's meat was unlike anything I had seen before, but hunger drove me to place it over the flames, ready to cook and satisfy my growling stomach.

As I watched the strange meat sizzle over the campfire, the anticipation of a hearty meal began to fade. The aroma that filled the air was equally peculiar, and not in a good way. My stomach growled impatiently, but when I finally took a cautious bite, the taste was nothing short of disappointing.

The flavor was far from what I had hoped for. It was strange, unfamiliar, and certainly not something I would describe as enjoyable. I chewed slowly, trying to make the most of the meal, but each bite felt like a struggle.

"Ugh, this is terrible," I muttered, my disappointment evident. I had hoped to savor the spoils of my victory, but it seemed that not everything in this new world would be as appealing as the thrill of battle. With a sigh, I resigned myself to finishing the unappetizing meal, realizing that survival in this unfamiliar realm would require me to adapt not only to its challenges but also to its peculiarities.

As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, casting long shadows through the forest, I knew I had to make good use of the remaining daylight. My makeshift campfire had provided some warmth and comfort, but it was not a suitable place to spend the night.

Determined to secure shelter, I set to work gathering branches and foliage. With each trip to the nearby trees, I collected more materials to construct a hut. My hands worked swiftly, weaving branches together to form a sturdy framework. Leaves and vines served as makeshift walls, providing both protection and insulation from the elements.

Time seemed to blur as I worked tirelessly, driven by the urgency to finish before darkness fell. The distant sounds of the forest filled my ears—the chirping of insects, the rustling of leaves, and the occasional call of unknown creatures. But I didn't let these distractions deter me from my task.

As the sun neared the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the landscape, I put the finishing touches on my makeshift hut. With a sense of satisfaction and relief, I stepped back to admire my work. The humble shelter stood ready to provide me with a safe place to spend the night, just as the last rays of sunlight dipped below the trees, leaving the forest in twilight.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment, knowing that I had secured both a meal and shelter in this unfamiliar world. With the night settling in, I entered the hut, hoping to rest However, my hopes of rest were quickly shattered by an unsettling sound—the distinct rustling of footstep-like sounds, not just one pair, but many.

As I stepped out of the hut and confronted the looming circle of monstrous creatures, my heart raced with a mixture of fear and determination. "Human male disappointing me kill you and eat you!" one of them shouted I had no choice but to fight. There were almost a dozen of them, their sinister forms closing in on me like a noose. Panic clenched my chest, but my will to survive burned brighter than ever.

The initial moments of the battle were chaotic and terrifying. The creatures lunged at me from all sides, their massive arms and gnashing teeth presenting a formidable threat. I moved on pure instinct, narrowly dodging a series of vicious strikes and parrying desperate lunges with my sword.

Despite the dire situation, a strange sensation began to take hold of me. It was a surge of exhilaration, an odd thrill that coursed through my veins. My fear was gradually replaced by a growing excitement, and I couldn't help but notice a widening smile on my face, despite being outnumbered and overwhelmed.

With each swing of my sword, each dodge, and each strike I landed, that exhilaration grew. It was as if I had tapped into some hidden well of power, and the thrill of battle was intoxicating. My movements became more fluid and precise, my attacks sharper and more deadly.

Still, the odds were against me, and the creatures pressed their advantage. They clawed, bit, and pummeled, slowly chipping away at my defenses. But I refused to yield. My smile, which had grown wider throughout the fight, now mirrored the exhilaration and intensity of the battle itself.

And then it happened. As if guided by an otherworldly force, I felt a surge of energy welling up within me. My body moved with newfound speed and precision. My vision sharpened, and my senses heightened. With a triumphant roar, I activated my Mana Burst skill.

In an instant, the tide of battle shifted dramatically. I moved with unparalleled agility, my strikes landing with devastating force. The once-overwhelming foes now faltered in the face of my newfound power. One by one, they fell before me, their monstrous forms succumbing to my relentless onslaught.

As the last creature crumpled to the forest floor, I stood amidst the fallen, my chest heaving with exhilaration. My smile, once timid, now spread wide across my face, a testament to the exhilarating rush of battle that had coursed through me

As I stood amidst the aftermath of the battle, my chest heaving with exhilaration, I couldn't help but gaze up at the moon. Its silvery glow illuminated the forest around me, casting an ethereal light on the scene. The moon seemed closer, more vibrant, and more captivating than ever before.

"Man, I feel alive!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with a sense of wonder and gratitude. It was a feeling I had never experienced in my previous life, a surge of vitality and purpose that had been awakened in this strange new world.

I extended my hand toward the moon, almost as if I could reach out and touch it. In that moment, I reflected on all the hardships and challenges I had faced in my past life, the monotony and mundanity that had weighed me down. But now, in this world filled with the unknown and the extraordinary, I made a silent vow.

"I am going to live life with this feeling in mind," I declared, my voice determined and resolute. "I'm going to be the coolest!"

With a sense of purpose burning within me, I closed my hand into a fist, as if sealing the pact I had just made with the moon. The world around me felt vast and full of possibilities, and I was ready to embrace every challenge and adventure that lay ahead, fueled by the exhilarating sensation of being truly alive.
