I'm currently 14 years old. I have every shikigami but Mahoraga and Mourning Tiger. Currently, I'm training to tame Mourning Tiger.
Drawing my custom-made slaughter demon that flows cursed energy more naturally. I stretch as I begin to pray. Mahoraga and Mourning Tiger have special rituals.
I have to pray for Mourning Tiger, and Mahoraga's ritual is just a long, drawn-out thing. I'm praying for the tiger. The nearby surroundings turn pitch black as a bunch of rabbits form. These aren't my rabbits from Rabbit Escape as they are too small.
Soon, they form into the form of a massive blue tiger. It's easily 4 meters tall in shoulder height. My eyes widen as it fully forms. Two faux wings rest on its back as it stares at me intently.
"PIERCING OX!"
I waste no time piercing, forming at my side in an instant. The ox is a bit larger than a Mourning Tiger.
Piercing Ox or Tom (the name MC gave it) charges forward initially slowly before hitting into high gear the longer it runs.
Diving into the Piercing Ox's shadow, I observe it charge toward Mourning Tiger, my eyes widening as Mourning Tiger disappears from view. Reappearing nearby. Its eyes begin to seep tears as my instincts scream at me.
'SHIT, RABBIT, ESCAPE!' I immediately spawn in 100 3-foot-tall rabbits. Saving Piercing Ox from annihilation.
My rabbits swarm, protecting Tom as I desummon him. I'm jumping into one of my rabbits' shadows as half of them explode under the gate of the tiger.
Sensing the abnormality, I grin. Mourning Tiger overloads its prey with cursed energy. Exploding the person and their soul. The reason it cries is because of the cursed energy exertion.
But since these are clones of the real Jerry (Rabbit Escape's name), the soul remains untouched. That leads to Mourning Tiger's second ability.
Sending out more Jerry's, I mob the tiger as it begins roaring, killing more and more, but I continue spamming clones of Jerry.
As the hundreds of clones move around Mourning Tiger tauntingly, I summon Max elephant from above. The nearby massive tree gave me 10 meters to spawn Mister Trunk (Max elephant's name).
Mister Trunk lands in a boom on top of Mourning Tiger. I immediately desummon him as the rabbits move in to attack. Overwhelming Mourning Tiger as I jump out of the shadows.
Stabbing out, I get Mourning Tiger's eye as its remaining eye overloads my arm with cursed energy, making it explode. Biting my lip in agony, I push through. Piercing Mourning Tiger's brain as it dies.
Sighing in mental exertion, I fall on my ass desummoning all the shikigami. Spawning so many Jerrys is exhausting.
"Madoka!" I yell using a binding vow to summon my rct deer with one hand. The deer immediately summons and touches me with its nose as my arm regrows.
Reverse cursed techniques of the body and soul are two different things. Rct of the soul is more complicated, but that doesn't apply to Madoka. Who is connected and bonded to my very soul, so even if part of my soul got blown to bits by Mourning Tiger, Madoka could heal it as if healing a limb.
Sighing as the wind blows, I decide to head home. Just before I can leave, my eyes widen as a massive cursed energy signature surges behind me, attempting to harm Madoka, but I desummon it immediately and leap backward simultaneously.
"What the hell? Who has the balls to attack me?" My eyes widen as I stare at what attempted to kill me.
In front of me is a cursed spirit. Its body is dark grey, and its eyes glow. Its face shows signs of humanity, taking on a humanoid look as it stares at me curiously.
"Oh, you dodged that?"
The cursed spirit sounds like a perfect cell from DragonBall as I frown. Where the hell did this guy come from?
"You may be wondering who I am. Just call me Lobo. I'm born from humanity's fear of death." The cursed spirit is creepily polite as it takes a bow.
"What's your deal? How did you even get in here? There is a veil protecting this place from spirits?" I question, a frown on my face. This is fishy.
"A business partner helped me get into this place on a vow that I kill you." After the words "colleague," I immediately narrow my eyes. I know exactly who helped this new cursed spirit get into here.
"Does your business partner have stitches on their forehead?" I question as the spirit's eyes widen a fraction before it shows signs of recognition.
"Bingo," I say as I summon night and day in a breath as the wolves howl. I grin. Finally, a fight that can force me to try.
'Formation A' I mentally command as night and day turn into their half-summoned states. Moving forward in a blur as I dive into day's shadow.
As night and day test out the ropes, I widen my eyes. If they weren't partially summoned, they would begin to decay. Confirming my theory.
'He has an aura of decay around him. Physical touch will be impossible without domain amplification.' Jumping out of the shadows, I desummon night and day.
"I've figured out a part of your technique." I grin as I palm my fist, black cursed energy explodes from my hand as I activate my newly renewed domain amplification.
In a permanent binding vow, I've managed to have a domain amplification active along with my cursed technique. The downside is that while using them both simultaneously, they both lower in output.
The drop in output is roughly half and half. For people weaker than me, that may sound joyous. Until they realize my output, even while halved, is more than enough to kill every modern sorcerer.
Charging forward, the cursed spirit gets into a defensive position as we engage in a deadly dance. It's faster and stronger than me but lacks technique altogether. That's all I need.
Fainting right, I land a kidney shot left, making the spirit grunt as I bombard its hastily placed guard with my reinforced punches.
As the spirit desperately defends itself, I decide to use my legs in the disengaging moment, kicking it away as it slides along the grass. Its grey eyes widen as they stare at what's behind me.
Behind me is a fusion of Icarus and Mister Trunk. Floating in the air, a bird with a trunk shoots down water that's electrified as I jump into the shadows to avoid the wave of destruction.
When merged, my shikigami became blank. Even if killed while merged, the main bodies won't be destroyed as the merged shikigami count as an entirely different entity.
So the only downside to losing a merged shikigami is that once that merged shikigami is dead, I won't be able to merge those two shikigami again.
The wave shoots out at deadly speeds as the cursed spirit shoots out a black beam of cursed energy. My heart rushes as I watch the electric water get turned to nothing.
Like it vaporizes. Not even mist remains as I immediately desummon merged shikigami max nue.
'Don't get hit by that beam without domain amplification activated,' noted. Gripping my hands tightly, I jump out of the shadows. My newly tamed mourning tiger is next to me as I open my arms.
Summoning an army of Jerry's, me and mourning tiger hide in the shadows of one of the rabbits.
As the rabbits fearlessly attack the cursed spirit, I observe in the shadows. Getting used to its fighting style as my Jeff clones get slaughtered.
Jumping out of the shadows with the mourning tiger, I kick the cursed spirit in its temple as it slides backwards. Mourning tiger begins to cry as one of the spirits' arms begin to bubble, it forms a wall of dark blue cursed energy around it.
That cancels out mourning Tigers' attempted attack as I sigh, desummoning him. I'm not used to his capabilities, so I can't access how I should use him in this situation.
I've already mentally noted the shikigami that will be useful in this fight and those that will be useless.
Tom? It's too straightforward and can only run in one line.
Icarus? Agile and airborne but will get shot out of the sky by the cursed spirits' death beam.
Jerry? Perfect for literally all situations, including this one. The rabbit clones don't hesitate to die if it means I win.
Mister tusk? Too big of a target and too slow.
Gamabunta? Similar to Mister tusk, except his only way of attack, his tongue, would be radiated by the field of death surrounding the curse spirit.
Night and day? Only good against strong opponents in their half-summoned state. They would get one shot if they weren't invulnerable while half-summoned.
Madoka deer? Only useful for healing and knocking down things.
Orochi? Same issue as gamabunta. Radiated mouth.
Maho and Jerry would be the only useful shikigami in this situation. But maho is untamed, and Jerry lacks offensive power.
"You know. Your way of fighting is very annoying." The cursed spirit says as I grin, that's something I take pride in.
"Yea. I tend to enjoy getting my opponents frustrated. It makes them do stupid things in the heat of their anger." I grin as the cursed spirits' arms move in a blur.
Eyes widening, I mimic the spirit immediately, knowing what it's plan is.
