Steve drove straight ahead to the Woods villa after dropping Melissa at her place. He still had to deliver the message Jeremy had sent him.
He arrived outside the villa and was stopped by security. The security man walked over to his car to find out who he was. He rolled down the car window revealing his face.
"I came to see your boss. Are you gonna let me in or.."
After seeing who he was, with great haste the security opened the gates to the villa.
Steve drove in and stopped at the entrance of the villa where a valet stood waiting. He got down from the car and threw his keys over to the valet.
"Don't scratch my car. She's my baby. Do you understand." Steve said pointing at his car. And after he got a nod from the valet he walked inside the villa.
Inside was very nice. The entire place had a golden decor. But he had seen better.
"Sir." Someone called his attention and Steve turned around to see a very old butler.
"They are expecting you. Please follow me." The butler said as he turned to lead the way and Steve sluggishly followed him. They entered a room dimly lit it looked like a study. Inside sat two men. One on an armchair and the other on the black couch opposite him.
The first man was Mr Woods. Just who Steve came to see. Guessing the other man was the foreign business partner he heard about. Thank goodness he was here. He's job just got a lot easier. Steve thought.
"Mr Steve Macklin. I wasn't really expecting you. I mean l was expecting someone, l knew Jeremy would send someone but.. l didn't think it would be you." Mr Woods said with a grim.
"Sorry to disappoint you."
"No need to apologise. Please sit down."
Steve sat down then he casually crossed his legs and looked around.
"Aren't you gonna offer me a drink?." He asked with a smile.
"Where are my manners." Jim!" Mr Woods called. "Please get a drink for Mr Macklin."
"You don't have to worry about the drink anymore. Just realised I'm not thirsty." Steve said as Jim Mr Woods assistant was about to leave to get the drink.
"I just wanna go straight to why I'm here." Steve said as he licked his lips. They were feeling a little dry.
"Go on. I'm listening." Mr Woods replied.
"Ok. But before l start. I just wanna say two things....just two. Firstly. Can we like tone down the AC. It's freezing in here."
"Mr Macklin. If you could stop wasting my time l would appreciate it." Mr Woods muttered. He was beginning to lose his temper.
"Sorry..sorry I'll stop wasting your time I'll hurry the hell up. But l told you l needed to say two things and the second one is actually a question which is." Steve paused. "Is he your foreign business partner?." Steve asked referring to the man sit casually next to him. He hadn't even said a word since he walked in. He had just been staring at him. And Steve found it really disturbing.
"Yes. He is. This is Mr Drake Lockman." Mr Woods introduced. But Mr Lockman didn't say anything he just kept staring at him. His eyes really dark.
Steve cleared his throat. It was time to be serious.
"Mr Woods. I come today with a warning sent by Jeremy himself. He will not take likely any one who dares stands deliberately in his way and will remove them forcefully out of his way. His warning to you today is not to play that card or else you'll deeply regret it. You and your associates." Steve said looking at Mr Lockman.
"What a mighty speech. Did you practice that in your head before you said it out loud." Drake Lockman who had been silent as he assessed his surroundings finally spoke up.
"No. Not really. Your actually not the first persons I've given that speech to. Your around like the 25th person. And they generally never listen. But the last one's did. I hope you'll also listen. Before it's too late."
Mr Woods was silent.
"Seems like your really close to Mr Jeremy nobody." Drake Lockman said with a smirk.
"You can say that." Steve replied. And all Drake Lockman did was nod his head. And the room went silent. Dead silence. Then Steve broke the silence.
"I hope you consider what l said. I'll be leaving now." Steve said as he stood up.
"Oh and before l forget. Tell your daughter to stay away from Melissa Williams. That's very important. I'm sure you want your daughter to be safe and well. Right." Steve said. And then raised his hand to say goodbye to the gentlemen and walked out.
Steve walked out of the room and right out the villa. He had done his job. It was up to them to do theirs.
