Chapter 41

I regretted telling Jade all about it. That and she was on her period, so she yelled at anyone in her way. Basically, only me.

"I'll throw your food into the dustbin o!" She yelled from downstairs and I sighed, sliding my foot into my black socks before I walked downstairs. She had a frown on her face and even Zeus could sense her mood and stayed out of her way most of the time even when I knew she loved the dog to bits.

"Hey boy" I chuckled, sweeping him up. He bowled in excitement and I laughed, walking into the kitchen where Jade was making food for a million people. Only two people lived in the house. I wondered by there were four plates.

"Are you serving your ancestors" I joked and she cracked a small smile before she walked to the fridge, pulling out a pitcher of glass.

I put Zeus down and walked to her, hugging her from behind and she stiffened for a few seconds before she leaned against my chest.
