Chapter 21

"I thought you said we didn't have to go na!" I groaned and he pulled me closer. I inhaled heavily and his scent engulfed me, making me feel a tad bit better.

"I thought so too but you know how mummy and Ife can get. If you get uncomfortable, we can come back home and have pizza" he smiled genuinely and I couldn't take my eyes off him. The moments he smiled so genuinely were rare and I love it when he smiled.

He looked like a child.

"You promise?" He nodded and pressed my head against his chest. His heart raced, just like mine and I shut my eyes with my hands lying limply by my side. I prayed to God that I didn't fall for him again. I wasn't ready to go through the sad torment.

"I'm sorry" he whispered and I licked my lips. My heart felt like a heavy block had been placed on it when his hand slithered to my waist, right above my ass.

"Will we ever get a chance to start over?" I arched my neck unconsciously when he attempted to whisper into my ear.
