CHAPTER FORTY THREE: A new wave

Jillian's Pov

I felt Jack pull away slowly and I willed my self to be calm.

I smile inwardly after glancing at Jane's shock Expression.

There is no deny that Jack chose me and not her.

My heart leap for joy at the thought, i was brought back to reality when i heard the door slam shut.

I turned to see Jane walking away in anger.

I Scoffed, she should know better now.

" How are you feeling now? " I heard Jack asked gently.

I turned to look at him and stiffled immediately i noticed the hard expression on his face.

" What is wrong Jack? " I asked frantically. Judging by the weeks i have known Jack Mayor i knew his hard expression this time means he is bother by something.

I held his hand slowly, staring at him to answer my question.

" You should go back " he said in a low tone.

I smile " No Jack, i won't work with claw foot club again. Since i have experienced their hatred. I would love to sign with mayors creation, thank goodness the company sells wears.

I will surely model them for you " i said to him sweetly.

I saw a smile play on his face for a while before it turn to a smirk.

He withdraw his hand from mine , staring at me with sad eyes.

" Jill , i think we should end ... "

" Stop!!! " I interrupted in frightness. My heart start pounding and i wonder if he can hear it too.

What was he trying to say?

End what?

I continue " it seems you're not in a good mood, how about i come back ? " I suggested turning to walk out. I'm not ready to listen to him tonight because i know i will surely regret it.

I suddenly felt his hand on my wrist. I stopped.

" You don't need to come back " He replied me.

" Excuse me what's going on? " I asked furiously.

I just came Back from hospital and this is what he has to say?

" You should stay away from me. I don't want you in danger " he replied in a hard tone.

Great he's getting upset. We both could have our first argument then.

" Staying away from you won't be possible Jack, you know better than anyone else that I won't " i told him stubbornly before walking out.

I heard him calling for me but i ignore him, I'm highly pissed off.

I walk to my car hastily, tears threatening to flow. I sniffed to keep it in.

I sat behind the wheel and drove off.

My cellphone buzz and i stare at the screen.

I ignore it immediately.

Why would Zach be calling me again?.

I arrived at home after a long drive. I was tired and sad.

I saw my dad in the kitchen making dinner.

" I'm home ! " I announced tiredly walking into my room.

He must have noticed my sad mood because he didn't reply.

I sat on the bed staring blankly into space.

I am still puzzle on why Jack Mayor would be willing to let me go.

I remembered his threats on that day in claw foot club. I have felt his love for me eversince he first kissed me.

My door open slowly and my father get in.

" What's going on ? " He asked after settling down at the edge of the bed staring at me.

I look away trying to hide the sadness on my face.

" I'm fine, it's nothing " i told him smiling.

He sighed softly before he reached out to held one of my hand gently.

" I think it is for the best to let Jack Mayor go. He is very dangerous "

I stare at my dad with my mouth wide open.

" You don't know anything about him dad " i told him in confusion. " Why would you suggest i let him go when you know vividly well that the mikes are the villian? "

He gaze at my eyes for a long time.

" Do you love him that much? You know Mr Mike will stop at nothing until he end that young man. You might as well get hurt during the battle "

I smile sweetly at him.

" Jack won't let me get hurt, he is a good man. He might be acting shrew sometimes but I'm very sure he will keep me safe "

My dad stare at me, his forehead creases.

" By any chance did you already get involved with him ? " He asked as he frown in surprise.

I know what he meant by " involved ".

I nodded slowly.

" I might be carrying his baby already " i told my father who glare at me on shock.

" Really ? " He asked and i nodded " well if that is the case, if you strongly believe that he will keep you safe then i am with you "

I smile happily at him.

Great! But then i still felt sadness despite my dad's approval.

The door bell rang loudly repeatedly.

My dad and I exchange surprise glances.

" Who could the guest be? " I asked my dad.

In response he stood up and walk out of my room. I stay still to listen to the visitors.

My heart leap for hope, thinking maybe it's jack but then i heard the voice, no voices.

I sprang up from my bed and race to the living room.

Lorie, Diana and Larry glare at me in annoyance.

" Okay okay, i can explain everything " I said gently.

" I don't really want to hear any complains , where have you been? " I heard Lorie told me coldly.

Fine ! I understood.

My father offered them a seat and they settled down on the couch still glaring at me.

" Please be gentle with her, she just got out of the hospital " My dad told my three guests.

The three stare at my in great shock.

" What ... How do ... You mean ? " Diana asked stammaring.

I sighed deeply when i saw the shock look on their face.

" You can't be serious? I saw you healthy that day at claw foot club." Larry chipped in.

I smile ruefully as i start explaining what has happened so far between the Mikes and mayors those past weeks.

Their expressions gradually changes from annoyance to sadness.

" But why would Mr Mike wants to take away your beauty ? " Lorie asked in a low tone.

" I definitely don't Know, I guess as time crawl by we would eventually Know the truth " i replied.

" So what do you plan to do now ? "

I smile brightly as the idea hit me but i quickly squash it so they won't notice my eagerness or that i have made a plan already.

" I do not know but i just don't want to go back to claw foot club, I'm so scared " i said silently. I watched them nodded in positive.

Good! Now i have to make the right suggestion.

" Wait Jilly " i heard larry said urgently. I stare at him and waited " How about you sign with mayors creation, i read it in the paper that they needed a model "

My heart leap for joy as i heard his suggestion. I quickly jumped up in excitement , i stopped suddenly as i saw them staring at me.

I scratched the back of my neck " I'm sorry, i just don't ... " My words trail off.

" It's okay, we all know you love jack mayor so how about we visit his company tomorrow ? " said Larry

I titled my head.

" How about my contract with claw foot club? "

" Luckily and fortunately for you . Your contract with them expired last night but you still have a fine to pay "

I giggled " that isn't a problem as long as i will be modelling for mayors creation " i said smiling.
