Chakra and Profound Energy

Itachi sat in front of the same waterfall, with his eyes closed and an extremely tranquil expression on his face, concentrating his focus deep inside his consciousness to his profound veins to gather profound energy from the surroundings. Due to him having memories of almost three lifetimes of cultivating in the ways of the Profound from Yun Che and his own life making it four, he was extremely familiar with the process.

Suddenly, bits of Profound energy started to condense in Itachi's Profound Veins… but before it could be absorbed Itachi retracted his focus from it and instead did what he originally intended to do before actually starting cultivating. What he wanted to do was test his theory about whether he could connect his Chakra points with profound veins. After connecting his chakra points to his newly made profound veins he could not only quickly circulate his chakra but at the same time also absorb the profound energy around him with his newly formed chakra pathway based profound veins and cultivate much faster; he could even use chakra based jutsus using profound energy alone. He could use it without profound energy as well. However, chakra couldn't be cultivated as easily as profound energy in this world. Moreoverm, his godly medical knowledge and the Sky Poison Pearl would be playing a major role in making this a possible reality.

Itachi stripped himself of upper clothing, and once again went into a tranquil state. His hand flashed with the purification power of the Sky Poison Pearl, however, instead of directing it towards his profound entrances, he instead used the directed power to clear his chakra points.

Immediately, Itachi felt as if a large amount of impurities had just been exuded from his body as his body gave a sudden blackish glow.

'I see, the Chakra coils are also filled with immense impurities. I feel like I can perform all the justus at a 300% better efficiency now. Now, for the final part….'

With that, Itachi activated his Mangekyo Sharingan, using it to keep a tight focus upon the relative position of all the Chakra coils as well as profound entrances. Finally, he suddenly noticed something strange, most of the Chakra points seemed to already be in the midst of different profound entrances making a kind of an inner circuit below the profound veins.

'From this I can confirm my speculation about chakra being an internal qualitatively a better form of energy while profound energy being an external form of energy being more powerful due to it's abundance in nature like Senjutsu chakra. Hence, Profound energy is like Senjustsu chakra, although it provides more strength quantitatively, it needs to be used in extensive amounts as well. However, internal chakra can't provide as much firepower yet it can still perform wondrous techniques with less quantity of energy like the Reanimation jutsu, and shadow clone jutsu. Even, in this world, where Gods and Devils had once resided, a jutsu that could revive the dead was unheard of.

' Now I just need to concentrate and try to gather my chakra through my chakra points and use the Sky Poison Pearl to redirect that energy towards my profound veins instead of the pathway system of chakra points,' Itachi thought as he regathered the chakra in his chakra points, then using the Sky Poison Pearl to push it towards the profound veins all over his body.

'Pah!Pah!Pah'

Suddenly, it was as if a dam had opened in his entire body, the chakra from those points flooded into his profound veins, bringing an influx of a pure form of energy. Unlike profound energy his chakra pool was permanently inside his body and continue to grow, not only that it won't leave or dissipate and continue to circulate through his points and then to his veins.

Chakra and profound energy was practically the same as they were both energy. The only difference is profound energy is external and while chakra is internal. Chakra would replenish inside the body of the user after a fixed period of time , now, it would directly enter the points and then instantly be absorbed into his profound veins. However, he had to keep in mind not to absorb too much. After all once he ran out of chakra, he could potentially die. His chakra could allow him to break through in cultivation and once that happens, Itachi speculated that not only would his profound strength grow he would also get more profound energy as he was basically using his chakra to attract profound energy from his surroundings. Of course, he speculated that his own chakra reserves would also grow along his cultivation since they would repeatedly be emptied and then refilled. While they were refilled, he could simply externally absorb profound energy to cultivate.

Itachi finally felt something as he circulated his chakra towards his profound veins and he felt that his veins were getting hot as his chakra converted into and getting intermixed with his profound energy , it began condensing within his profound veins.

1st stage of Elementary Profound realm!

Before Jasmine had entered the Sky Poison Pearl, she had told Itachi not to disturb her within three days. However, she had not expected that after she awakened from her slumber, seven days had already passed. So, he continued to repeat the same process, absorbing chakra through his profound veins until he had exhausted his entire reserves. Just after five hours, he made another breakthrough…

2nd stage of Elementary Profound realm!

And so, for the next one week the same process continued to be repeated.....

3rd stage of Elementary Profound realm!…..on the same day

4th stage of Elementary Profound realm!...…on the 2nd day

9th stage of Elementary Profound realm!...…on the 6th day

10th stage of Elementary Profound realm!...…on the 7th day

With each break through, Itachi had to wait for a while to consolidate his strength. However, he was mostly using internal energy to make breakthroughs, his foundation was even stronger than Yun Che of the past.

He continuously broke through all the way to the 10th of Elementary profound realm, not only that but it still slowly but surely rose, but Itachi stopped anyways.

After about two hours, Itachi's chakra was finally replenished. After all his breakthroughs, he only managed to get his original average Chunin level chakra pool to a High-Chunin almost to the level of a Low-Jonin. He had lost a considerable amount of his Chakra pool in the reincarnation but now it was somewhat restored.

Since he made such a huge leap Itachi needed to solidify his realm and master it to a degree. Since he also had his Sharingan and can now use it for longer he didn't need to fear anyone as his Sharingan's illusions can even trick someone much more powerful than him.

'The next step is to increase my body's physical capacity to cultivate the Great Way of the Buddha while consolidating my current profound realm until it naturally attains a breakthrough. I have once seen with my sharingan, the scroll containing the eight inner gates manual in my time as an Anbu. Although it does require me to train my body, it will be even more efficient to use it to train my physical body until I can get the Great Way of the Buddha from Jasmine. Although he already knew the manual from Yun Che's memories. It would be better to still take it from her. Anyways, he needed to increase his physical prowess first before actually succeeding in cultivating it so he wouldn't be wasting hist time.' Itachi thought as he started his intense training in the eight inner gates...

After falling fast asleep inside the Sky Poison Pearl for the past seven days. She looked toward Itachi from inside the Sky Poison Pearl and let out a faint *Eh?* sound of surprise from her pink lips after a while.

At the edge of the waterfall, Itachi was currently walking step by step on the screen of water that looked like it was falling from heaven. All his profound strength was being released without reservation whilst protecting his head and his back as he walked on water.

When Jasmine left the Sky Poison Pearl, what she saw was exactly this scene. She took a look at the height of the waterfall, and her moon-like eyebrows faintly rose.

"Boom!"

The impact of the huge current collided ruthlessly onto Itachi's body, breaking apart his elementary profound energy defense instantly, and smashed him ruthlessly into the violent and churning pool.

"Already at the tenth level of the Elementary Profound Realm? He is actually that fast! How did he cultivate that fast" Looking at the tiny amount of profound energy Itachi was releasing, Jasmine was amazed in her heart. In just a short span of seven days, he actually officially stepped into the tenth level of Elementary Profound Realm!

"Why are you working this hard? You have thirty years, not three.?" Jasmine floated beside him asking in a intrigued voice.

Itachi's face was blank as he answered her: "Definitely less than thirty, I have reasons that compel me to keep moving forward until I reach the end; moreover with the Heretic God's veins and my knowledge of the profound veins if I can't even do that then I am completely unworthy to have them."

"You've been continuously doing this these past few days?" Jasmine opened her mouth and asked.

"More or less." Itachi straightened his exhausted body, while he got in the pool, there were not only the Demon Skull Vines present, but also the herbs he'd personally picked, which were used to make the best of recovery fluids.

"Are you not afraid of sudden death!" Jasmine's face became somewhat chilly.

"Life itself is much more scary than death. Don't' you remember our first confrontation?" Itachi lightly chuckled as he said that with complete self-confidence.

Jasmine smiled disdainfully: "You overestimate yourself.Why are you so desperate?"

"Because, I need to have a strong enough power in the shortest possible time to break the shackles of destiny that bind my fate….or rather Yun Che's fate." At this, Itachi looked up straight at her, and slowly said: "More importantly, I have made some promises that I need to keep; most of all, the one that I made to myself."

"Hmph, if you are this desperate, I naturally won't stop you. So, how long are you planning to stay here and train?" Jasmine said haughtily with her charming voice.

"We will be leaving now that I have already conquered it" Itachi replied.

Itachi used Yun Che's method of cultivation for physical training but he was already at the peak of the Elementary Profound so the waterfall couldn't provide him with much training.

"Alright, then. What will you do now? " Jasmine's petite face turned to the side at this moment, and her cheeks revealed a hint of bashfulness: " By the way this princess is grateful for the new set of clothes that you procured for me!"

Itachi nodded simply in response. He already bought some when he was going through the Cyan Forest Town. A short while later, he suddenly asked: "Jasmine, before you entered the Sky Poison Pearl last time, there seemed to be a question that you didn't answer me…. Where did you actually come from? "

Jasmine stood up, and said with a flat complexion: "…. that is a place you wouldn't know even if I had said it. From this place…. It's extremely far away!"

Itachi thought for a little bit, and gave up before Jasmine followed up with her questioning.

"As for the reason why I came to this place, it was to find the five Heretic God's secret grounds, mentioned in the memories of the Heretic God's blood. Amongst them, one of the Heretic God's secret ground's location was vaguely around the Blue Wind Empire's ...….The Heretic God's memories had mentioned that this Profound Sky Continent was created by the Heretic God at that time; on this Profound Sky continent, he had five places of refuge. Before his downfall, he left five "Seeds" in these respective five places. It also clarified that…." Jasmine took a glance at Itachi: "Only those who had inherited his power, would be able to find them!"

"I see. That's what this throbbing in my veins and the constant buzzing in the Sky Poison Pearl has been all about.."Itachi said with a confident smile; he knew he was manipulating her but it was simply necessary at the moment.

"What do you mean?" Jasmine asked confusedly.

Itachi stood up from the pool as his naked muscles were revealed to the sunlight; making them glistened.

Jasmine bashfully averted her eyes while inwardly cursing at Itachi.

Itachi looked at her and replied: " We have found our first Secret Land."

Jasmine immediately forgot her embarrassment and exclaimed in a doubtful voice: "Are you sure? It's hard to believe you would be that lucky?"

Itachi simply said: "The Sky Poison Pearl has never been wrong. Moreover, my veins throbbing is gesturing towards the same direction. That can't be a simple coincidence."

Jasmine didn't say anything as she disappeared inside the pearl.

Seven days had went by, Itachi brought out a new set of clothes from the Sky Poison Pearl, changed, and then went towards the Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range with only one goal in mind: To get the Fire Seed of the Heretic God.

Scarlet Dragon Prohibited Region

As soon as Itachi stepped foot into the region, his heart started throbbing "This should be…."

*Ba-dump*….*Ba-dump"…..

This feeling is…..

Itachi put his hand onto his chest '… It's calling for me'

"What's wrong with you?" Jasmine asked when she detected his abnormality in the Sky Poison Pearl.

"It's calling for me….." Itachi replied with a serene complexion, while looking toward the south.

"Calling?" Jasmine's voice was filled with surprise.

After some time, Itachi took out the Star Concealing Grass and gripped it in his left hand and turned it into a clear Star Concealing Pellet.

Swallowing down the Star Concealing Pellet, Itachi's body immediately disappeared, he took open strides, and quickly rushed forward.

In his view, there appeared a large chunk of a scarlet-red colored region. In the middle of that region, was a nearly one hundred meter high gigantic cave, a barren environment without a single blade of growing grass.

Itachi merely proceeded to go to the left path and traverse into the Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range. Seeing this Jasmine couldn't help but be shocked and asked: " What are you doing? if the dragon here is even an Earth Profound beast you still wouldn't be able to beat it!"

"There is something resonating with the Evil God's blood in my body."Itachi said coolly as Jasmine's face became shocked in the Sky Poison Pearl: " It must be related to why a dragon nests here, as you stated dragons are proud and arrogant. Why would one come here, where the highest level of the beasts in the mountain range are only True Profound beasts?"

"Hmph, very well. Since you have bought this princess some clothes it is only fitting as your partner to pay you back. I can kill it for you but I need it to be completely still, you only have one shot if I try to use my profound strength for a second time then my Poison will rebound" Jasmine explained.

"Alright, I can do that but I did like to avoid it altogether if I can help it. So, don't act unless I tell you to." Itachi said as he walked in deeper towards the mountain range.

Jasmine affirmed with a hm while feeling confused as to how he would avoid a dragon inside it's own lair while stealing it's treasure.

Along the way Itachi met several low level profound beasts that could have attacked him if not for the star concealing grass but he just put them all in a simple genjutsu before swiftly killing them. He then stored their bodies in the vast limitless space within the Sky Poison Pearl.

Itachi now stood a few meters away from a giant cave which was the nest of the Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range's overlord, the Flame Dragon.

Itachi controlled his profound energy while he made his footsteps soundless as he entered the cave. First, he slowly approached the herbs and stored all of those into the Sky Poison Pearl. After that, he quickly tried to turn most of them into Fire Spirit Pellets. He quickly put some of the Fire Spirit Pellets in his mouth and as they transformed into energy and entered his body he noticed his fire resistance had become stronger.

Right as he entered, He his eyes gazed at a red massive dragon that was sleeping. But just as he got close Jasmine's voice telepathically rung in his mind.

"Be careful" She said.

"I know" Itachi said in his mind to her.

"It is not a mere low level dragon, it is a genuine beast at the Emperor Profound Realm!" Jasmine finished her explanation.

"It may try to hide it's strength but, in front of my eyes …it's efforts are all but meaningless." Halting for a moment, Itachi made sure to be exceedingly cautious before he started to slowly move. He had activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and with his enhanced vision he saw that the den of the Flame Dragon was quite clean.

Jasmine became intrigued when Itachi mentioned his eyes. Even in the Realm of the Gods, she had never heard about these strange eyes being possessed by anyone; although she was exceedingly curious about his visual prowess but she refrained from asking right now since it was a crucial moment.

With his sharingan activated. Itachi saw that from where the Seed was located.

'There' Itachi thought as he slowly made his way towards the rock. Just as he neared it, he slowly moved the rock out the way. Itachi made sure to move the rock as silent as he could as to not wake the Flame Dragon. From under the rock, he saw saw something shine red.

It was a very small and round bead, close to the size of a common marble. It had an ordinary ruby's sparkling translucence.

'This is the Fire Seed of the Heretic God…Finally..'Itachi felt extreme pull towards it as he slowly advanced.

Jasmine's voice of distress sounded in his mind. "Don't touch it! There's a Flame Dragon's inflammatory imprint on it!"

Itachi said with a calm voice: "Don't worry, I have a plan. You must only act if there is no choice or your entire recovery effort until now would all be in vain."

Jasmine although doubtful about how he was going to take it from the cave; still gave up; feeling somewhat touched deep inside her heart.

Itachi immediately snatched the bead as it disappeared inside the Sky Poison Pearl.

Just after he had taken it, a world-shaking dragon roar suddenly came in from the cave!

"ROOAR!! Despicable humans!! So it turns out that you're actually lusting after this king's treasure!, Unforgivable… UNFORGIVABLE!!!"

Itachi's aura was so weak that the Flame Dragon was stunned for a second. However, when it noticed the scarlet-red bead had disappeared, its huge eyes radiated an indignant blaze: "Presumptuous human, to actually lust after this king's treasure! Prepare to suffer this king's wrath!"

Itachi's face was without much change as he said in a cold voice: "If you don't want to die, then stop. I don't wish to needlessly kill you. This is not your treasure; you have just been using it to gain strength. By all rights, it should belong to me. So, give up."

"Hehe," The Flame Dragon laughed: " Do you think me as stupid as you humans?"

The Flame Dragon continued with sarcasm: "If you really could kill me you wouldn't be here! Brat, your gaze is cold and ruthless; the murderous intent on your body also surprised this king. All this is merely an illusion, this king is not that stupid to fall for this deceit!"

"Ilusion…Is that what you think? Well, you are not wrong about that." Itachi chuckled as his eyes morphed to Mangekyo Sharingan; the pin-wheel spinning with immense chakra.

"Now, Turn into ashes!"

The Flame Dragon opened his mouth widely, and suddenly shot a ball of blazing fire at Itachi.

"Thump!" As a great force came towards Itachi, he dodged the fatal flames of the Flame Dragon by using a simple Body Flicker to teleport at the other end of the cave

"Amaterasu!" A large wave of strong Chakra was released from Itachi's left eye as he uttered his innate ability of the Mangekyo Sharingan.

"You sneaky little human!! Where will you run away? Oh..There you are.." The Flame Dragon turned around as it tried to spit flames in his direction but before it could do so, a terrifying black flame started devouring his skin.

This black flame was simply too terrifying; the aura that was originally shapeless, began to stir up a violent storm, instantly extinguishing the Flame Dragon's burning flame; eating it away.

"Ahhh!….Ahhh!!! You despicable human!! What is this devil flame!! I will burn you with the flames!! Ahhhh…"The Flame Dragon tried in vain to stop the flames but it only increased it further until it engulfed his entire left wing.

Jasmine who had been watching from inside the Sky Poison Pearl could no longer keep her cool while she watched the dragon getting devoured by the Black devilish Flames. She yelled from within: "What are those black flames, Itachi"

"Now is not the time. I will tell you later." Itachi dismissed her inquiries while saying in a somewhat tired voice while his blood red eyes started to bleed profusely. He had been continuously pouring more chakra into the left eye to project the Amaterasu upon the Flame Dragon's left wing

'I guess this should be the limit. Although, it's flames are inextinguishable; once the dragon realizes it could disperse them by manually ejecting them out using it's profound energy, it will be over.'

The Flame Dragon had already gone berserk from pain as he started spewing flames everywhere.

Itachi had to continuously use the Body Flicker Technique to dodge the debris and the flames while keep projecting the Amaterasu on the Flame Dragon.

Finally, Itachi used his right eye as he poured as much chakra as he could into it while looking straight at the Flame Dragon's eyes: "Tsukuyomi!"

Instantly, the writhing dragon stopped as it fell on the ground with a thud.

Just three seconds later, the dragon started moving although this time it's movements were stiff as if it had gone through days of hell in those three seocnds and his eyes seemed almost lifeless as if it had experienced a very great tragedy.

Itachi almost fell to the ground as his both eyes seemed to continuously pour out blood. However, he still raised his head one final time, focusing his chakra in his left bleeding eye to redirect Amaterasu straight at the eyes of the Dragon.

Now, Itachi couldn't stay here for too long. Amaterasu had already started devouring it's outer shell but it was still not good enough to kill the dragon before it regained consciousness. It really was too much for him to take that dragon with just two of his two trump cards. He had to get out of it's range. He had already made sure to burn one of it's wings by focusing his Amaterasu upon it; so it could not chase Itachi by flying in a short amount of time along with it's burnt eyes and the trauma that it had been given in the seventy-hours of the Tsukuyomi world, the dragon was completely deranged right now. With that in mind, Itachi used his profound energy to leave the Flame Dragon's Cave with the Body Flicker Technique leaving the deranged dragon with the black flames mostly devouring it's left wing and eyes.

Itachi's actions made even Jasmine astonished with disbelief. He had used the perfect combination of two mysterious techniques to render the Flame Dragon unable to pursue them; it was still a very commendable achievement to defeat it just as an Elementary Profound Realm practitioner. This achievement was impossible to accomplish, even by the geniuses of her own realm….even her elder brother couldn't….

Jasmine tried to calm her mind as she became even more intrigued and confused by this strange mortal that she had met who continued to defy her expectations.

While she tried to rack her brains for answers, Itachi used the Body Flicker Technique to create as much distance as he could between him and the Scarlet Dragon Mountain Range….
