Chapter Twenty - Three

Jessica eating her apple angrily, as she thought of what the doctor told her

"I will ruin that useless, good for nothing doctor.. he actually destroyed my plans over his foolishness and he will pay for it.. I swear" She thought to herself. stood up suddenly, panting around the room as the door of the room opened. She quickly lie back and pretend she's sleeping.

Ryan and his father entered and saw his mother sleeping on the bed. He wished she is as innocent as she appear to be now while sleeping. he looked at his Father before talking

"Dad, you see she's still sleeping.. maybe we should wait for her to wake up" Ryan said softly

"What?.. this one is sleeping or you are deceiving yourself son? She's awake" His father said coldly

"But Dad..." He's cut off by his father

"No but son, your mother is pretending to sleep. I know that and am very sure of it" He said and moved closer to her gently before whispering to her ear loudly

"you better open your eyes woman and stop this madness.. Your game is over Jessica" He said as Jessica gently open her eyes and looked at her family curiously with her eyes widen in shock

"What are you doing there and honey why did you disturb my sleep with your noise?" She said softly

"Will you shut up!!!.. Did you really think, we are a fool?.. the fact we don't talk like you does not mean you can play us like game Jessica" Her husband said

"I don't understand you George, what happened and why are you speaking to me in this manner?.. "She asked her husband gently before looking at her son

"Mom, are you still pretending to be innocent? really? even after what you've done?" Ryan said harshly

Jessica looked at her family curiously, praying that useless Doctor has not explained everything to her family.

"What happened Ryan? just tell me" she asked gently

"Why did you lie about your accident Mom? why did you pretend that you are in a coma when you are actually alive, healthy mom. why?" Ryan asked

"Ryan, I don't understand what you are saying.. you thought I fake my accident?" She asked curiously

"Will you shut up?.. have heard enough of your useless game.. have never hit any woman in my whole life, Jessica don't be the first.. I want you start talking now before I lose my mind.. now.." He yelled at her angrily

"Well I wanted to get your attention" She said calmly

"How? We give you enough attention mom" Ryan said

"No, I don't have your love like before" She replied

"Please I don't understand and how does it collate with what is going on here?" Her husband asked curiously

"that's the cause of my actions " She replied coldly

"Then speak up woman and stop beating around the bush Jessica.. Why?" He yelled at her curiously

"I was happy Emily is out of your life Ryan.. You gave her all my love including my husband" She said

"How?.. Mom, we love you so much" Ryan replied

"No Ryan, you shared my love with that poor wrenched girl who has no family.. That girl came into your life and you started sharing my time with her" she said

"Are you a baby or just foolish?.. you are envious of a little girl who does not even have your time? really Jessica? So you can stoop that low for a child? don't you have any shame?.. This girl does not even know if someone is dying or not for her, she has her life to live and not so jobless to think of this useless excuses of yours Jessica.. you are just wasting your precious time over petty issues that does not even make any sense Jessica" George said angrily

"It makes sense George, you are just blinded by your love for her that made you say that" She said angrily

"Are you stupid?.. no tell me, are you mad? Don't you have any sense? like even if its a borrowed one cuz I don't think you have at all" He said coldly

"Stop insulting me George or else" She yelled angrily

"Or else what? you will blackmail me like the doctor or you will kill me?" He challenged her angrily

"Ryan warn your father before he regret his words" She said looking at her son

"are you serious mom, you did all this for someone who does not even have your time? really mom?.. are you that desperate?" Ryan added to his father's words

"Ryan mind your words, am still your mother" She said

"And that's why am talking to you like this mom.. you really disappointed me alot. who told you, we are sharing our love for you with Emily? Mom, your place in our heart is special and nobody can take that place. You don't need to stress yourself" Ryan replied

"No, you like that girl. I thought she's gone forever and will never come back to our lives but I was wrong. Fate brought you guys together and I hate it" She said

"Did you hear yourself? Fate brought them together not humans Jessica, use your sense" her husband said

"I hate that George and I will fight fate" She said panting around the room

"Please go ahead woman and please tell me when you are done Jessica. let me see what you will do about it Mrs fight the almighty" George said angrily

"You will see I will cause separation between my son and that useless girl" She said confidently

"You are a fool Jessica, like really. You really think you can fight the almighty for what? Your love? that nobody shared? or Time that no one gave you? I thought you are smart and I know now that you lack good sense. I tell you, you will go on your kneels and beg that girl someday.. I will patiently wait for that Jessica and I promise to laugh at you" he said

"Well Mom, you seriously need to fight yourself because nobody will separate me from my friend. Not even you and anyone, she's mine" Ryan said softly

"No, she's not yours. I hate that girl" She yelled

"Deal with that Jessica, is your problem" her husband said calmly

"You see now George, you have never talked to me in this manner since I have known you but because of that girl.. you are talking to me harshly" she said

"That's because you are behaving like a mad woman and you need to be scolded for it" he replied

"Do I look like a baby to bed scolded?" She question

"That's what I want to ask you too Jessica because you behave like one.. A child whose items was stolen and she's desperate to get it back no matter even if she hurt herself" He replied slowly

"We love you and we want the best for you.. that's why dad I'd talking to you this way, just fir your own good. so you won't have to hurt yourself over nothing mom.. you don't need to go extra mile to destroy her cus you will definitely destroy yourself" Ryan said softly

"Get out.. I said you both should get out!!.." She yelled angrily at them both

"We are going anyways, I can't stand you" George said and shut the door after him.

Ryan looked at his mother pitifully

"Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked

"Because Mom, you will destroy yourself if you don't stop with your jealousy" Ryan said

"Are you deaf or something?.. I said get out" She yelled angrily as Ryan gently left the room

Jessica scattered everything in the room away in anger as she screamed that got the attention of the nurses

"What happened ma'am?" A nurse said hurriedly

"How does that concern you.. Get out " She screamed at them as everyone rush out quickly.
