Chapter Thirty - Three

Kilee!!!.. kilee!!!!..., The sound of a phone ringing tone wake Emily. She stretched her hands towards the stood beside her to take the phone, she missed the first call but lucky enough to take the second attempt

"He..ll..o!!!" She answered in a baby voice still on the bed with her eyes closed. She hate waking up this early, she felt so frustrated

"Emily, today is my trial" The other person said stuttering a little

Emily jerked up from the bed immediately recognizing the voice "Ryan?.." she said calmly

"Yes it's me.. Sleeping right?" Ryan muttered softly

"Actually hmmm!!!.. yes.. I was sleeping before you called and I'm so sorry quickly" She apologize

"Why are you sorry?.. you did nothing Emily.. I don't have the potency to sleep, besides my brain is preoccupied with several things" Ryan replied sadly

Emily checked the time on her phone and place it back on her ear. "Is 3am Ryan, are you that worried? I don't know how to make you feel better Ryan.. Hmmm!!.. I have a gist for you to keep your mind busy"

"What gist Emily?.. I don't think any gist can help me right now" He said coldly, feeling frustrated

"Do you know me?" She asked sarcastically, Ryan rolled his eyes

"Is that supposed to be a question?.. Emily I know you, you're my childhood best friend" He replied

"You never asked about me?.. What happened?.. the suddenly twins sister? and the rest?" She said sadly

"That's true Emily, I never asked about your twins sister.. you never told me about it" He replied

"That's because i was clueless either.. the remembered the day I almost fell from the building top?" She started calmly

"Yes I can't forget that .. I lost you then" He replied sadly

"Well, I told you that someone saved me that day right?.. I told you that I was an orphan?.. Well Ryan I had parents all along" She replied

"What? are you serious? did you see them?" He asked shocked with an open mouth

"I got to know the day I opened my eyes at the hospital, I saw three person's eyes staring at me.. I was more confused than ever.. I remembered my dad spoke first and thank the almighty" She said softly

"Are you serious?.. you had parents all along? But why would they leave since an innocent child to suffer such a trauma like that?" He asked curiously

"That was my first question too Ryan.. They gave birth to twins, Financially imbalance, and so someone offered to take care of the other child.. Innocently my Mom gave me to her, she died on our way to her house.. I was lucky enough to stay alive but she didn't make it" She said, sighed heavily to calm herself

"Emily, you can get through this pain " He said calmly

"I know Ryan and you can get through this pain too.. Stop dwelling in the grip of pain, give room for freedom" She said softly

"Mine is different from yours and you know it.. I saw him in the pool of blood Emily.. crying in my arms for me and I was helpless" He said, he felt a sharp pain in his chest as he recall the incident

"So? the dead is gone Ryan, get over it for your sake.. Leaving in guilt will kill you, just take a deep breath and calm yourself to sleep" She said softly

Ryan took a deep breath in relief and lay down on his bed calmly with his placed on his ear.

"Emily!!.. Thank you for staying awake for me" He trailed off as word won't come of his mouth no matter how hard he try.

"Anything to make you feel comfortable" She said smiling to herself

"I will see you later today right?" He asked curiously praying she agrees to come

"Yes Ryan, you will see me" She replied slowly

Ryan smiled a little, happy she's coming with.. He realized that he has turned a blind face about her and he feel so guilty. This girl has done a lot for him yet he ignored her "How is your work?.. do you like the job?" He asked curiously

"No option, I need to do something and cater for my family" she commented calmly

"Firstly, you will tell me later about your story.. Secondly, you will resume your work as my PA on Monday" He ordered

"But you don't have a PA, why do you need one ?" She said feeling so sad that she lost her job.

"Because I want to and i promise to pay your salary so please don't reject this offer " He pleaded slowly

Emily felt overwhelmed in happiness"Thank you Ryan, thank you so much " She happily, she jump up from her bed and dance around the room happily

"You're welcome Emily, see you later " He said, chuckled at her cuteness before hanging up

Emily screamed in the room happily and dance around as he swing her scarf but her happiness ended so soon as she saw her twin sister name popped up on her phone caller.

She hissed and answered

"What do I own this unexpected call from you?" She asked sarcastically rolling her eyes

"Is it a crime to call my twins sister and check up on her?" She mocked gritting her teeth

"like yesterday?" She asked sarcastically

" You have serious problem Emily.. have I done something wrong just by calling you?.. what's your damn problem woman" She screamed at her

"You have the problem.. I thought you wanted to check up on me, tell me is that how you do that ?.. What's your problem?.. the fact that I didn't hear your annoying voice for months makes me so happy but just mere seeing your name on my phone get me angry because you have nothing good to say in your life.. always insult, what's your problem with me?" She replied frustrated

"Alright am sorry.. I didn't mean to get you this angry but you are just so annoying sometimes" She said coldly

"And that's makes me feel better?.. see, if you have nothing important to say. kindly hang up now, is too early to fight with you please" Emily yelled angrily

"I heard Ryan has a case today" She began calmly

"And how is that your business? I don't understand why you're asking me?" Emily asked as she roll her eyes at her

"You're so very stupid.. is just a simple question Emily, it won't harm you if you had answered politely" Emily Heard her twins sister yelled at her.

She hate the idea of having a twins from the start because this girl is nothing but a she devil, a big bone in her neck that won't let her go in peace. She wondered if her neighbors would not even challenge her for screaming early in the morning when others are sleeping. She has enough of her bully

"Hang up right now before I curse you and don't you dare in your entire life call me again or I swear i will make you regret it" she couldn't even control herself as Emily screamed so angrily and hang up.

She threw her phone on the bed and move to the bathroom to take a cold shower.

Her conversation with her twins sister is always like talking to the devil himself. took a long shower to calm herself because of Ryan.
