Chapter 4: Curiosity Kills the Cat...

Yeah. Remember when I said that I need to get stronger really fast? I think that decision of mine is extremely rushed, yes. It is. I mean, it is not bad to get stronger, it's just that you have to get stronger patiently and steadily, lest you end up in a dire situation. Just like I am currently in right now.

Hm? You're curious why I am saying this? Well... It just so happens that there's a ten meter tall and eighteen meter long iguana in front of me, baring its fangs and staring at me intently like I'm some delicious meat that was delivered right on its door step. Actually, it's not too far off as I did kinda really delivered myself in.

With the new determination burning inside me, I flew at breakneck speed and flew towards the nearby mountain. I chose this direction as, well... Aren't stronger monster usually found in places like this? And just like I thought. The moment I arrived close to the base, I already spotted several beasts that looked like some overgrown dogs with sharp bones sticking out of their limbs and along their spine like a fin!

... Right. I should tell you this. Whenever I appraise an item, it will give the most precise but also the shortest explanation ever! And whenever I appraise living creatures like these magic beasts, it will only show like this.

A simple word. I get the meaning, but would it hurt to at least write a sentence?!

*Sigh*

So anyway. This means that they are weak and are all still a bit better than those cows and deers. After all, appraisal showed that they are "extremely weak". At least this is a little better, and may hopefully give me better exp.

I sighed for a second time.

"I hope I'll find a really strong beast soon enough..."

I muttered to myself and used my skill.

This time, I used my skill to stun them in place before they can even sense me. Well, it saves the trouble of chasing after them after all.

Looking at the petrified "spiky pups", I immediately used another one of my skills as the stun effect only lasts for five seconds!

Bright crimson flame enveloped my whole body as I increased my altitude and sharply doved down!

"ROAR~!!!"

*BOOM!!!*

A cloud of dust appeared and a violent shockwave swept across the pack of pups, sending them flying to the nearby trees and even uprooting some in the process!

At the spot of collision, a giant crater can be seen along with several badly mutilated spiky pup carcasses. I looked at the bloody mess calmly. Maybe you are wondering how I can stay so calm like this... But sorry, I also do not know the answer. At first, I thought it was just the effect of my unique skill [Living Game Character], but after thinking for a little more, I also thought that it can also be because of me being a dragon. Either way... I clearly I have no idea.

After collecting all the spiky pup carcasses, I once again took off from the ground.

I stayed in mid air for a while without moving, well... My wings are still flapping. I searched the area and my gaze went towards the direction of my cave. And seriously, it's just majestic! And I discovered a very important fact! No wonder why my cave weren't discovered, just looking towards the top of the water fall is already really hard even for a dragon with enhanced senses like me!

After looking in marvel a little more, I turned my head towards the cliff that caught my attention earlier, in between two of the mountains near my location. No. More specifically, I'm looking towards the cave at the bottom of it!

And I feel a really strong aura coming out of it! Without hesitation, I mindlessly made my way tiwards the cave and landed just out side of the mouth of it. It's at least twenty meters ir so big as it even made me look small. I'm a little hesitant to go in, but... Who am I? I'm just a normal curious dragon! Iade my way inside, but immediately regretted it...

"... I did say that I want to find strong beasts to level up faster but... Isn't this just too much of an overkill...?"

I said as I stood rooted on my spot.

Just like what they say, "Curiosity kills the cat". And This time, I'm the cat. A big ass scaly dragon cat!

And that brings as back to our current situation...

"Oh. I think I entered the wrong house... Well then, I guess I'll be on my..."

*ROAR~!*

"I guess that's a no, then..."

I gravely said as the giant iguana rushed towards me with it's tongue flicking in and out of its mouth!

'Damn it!'

I inwardly cursed as I dodged to the side.

*ROAR~!!!*

It roared even louder as it glared at me with its blood red eyes.

"Tch! Damn this luck!"

"What the f*ck?! Is this for real?!"

I exclaimed with shock as I started sweating a little.

I'm sure, if not for my unique skill [LGC], then I would already be trembling by now.

"Curse it!"

I looked around trying to find a way out, but the only one is right behind that overgrowned iguana! Damn it!

"Well, no choice. Let's fight it out!"

I exclained loudly as I resolved myself.

I lunged towards the iguana with all my might and it respinded with a tackle!

*Boom!*

"Ugh! Damn it! I thought I hit a wall!"

I exclaimed as my head continued throbbing.

Shaking my head, I immediately returned my focus towards the opponent.

Seeing that it missed, the iguana turned towards me and immediately rushed in a mad dash!

I evaded to the side and hit the wall of the cave hard.

"Ugh!"

A painful gasp escaped my mouth.

'Damn it! If this goes on, I'll be dead for sure! Gotta find a way to kill this bastard immediately!'

I stood up once again and faced the iguana and rushed forward as it did similarly. This time, it swiped its barbed tail towards me and I instantly dropped tonthe ground, not daring to confront it head on. Why? Who wants to be impaled by those terrifying looking bone spikes?!

*Boom!*

The tail hit the wall and destryed it like nothing. I took this time and immediately used my skills consecutively.

[Crimson Dragon's Dance!]

[Burning Claw!]

The skills hit the target with precision, but it did nothing, not even a dent on its scales!

"Just how hard are your scale?!"

*ROAR!!!*

Instead of answering, it roared loudly as it raised ints front claws and smashed the ground.

"Shit!"

As if on instinct, I dodged to the side and immediately, a long earth spike appeared where I was. Seeing this, my eyes widened.

That was too close!

'Oh no...'

Before I could react, several earth spikes shot out of the ground, I tried to dodge the spikes desperately, but I was still caught in one!

"Ugh! Damn this shit!!!"

I exclaimed loudly as an earth spike pierced my shoulder, but I still continued dodging.

*ROAR!!!*

Seeing that it can't hit its meal and is dodging his attacks continuously, it roared in rage and once again stumped on the ground as several earth spikes shot out, but this time, bigger.

Seeing this, my eyes opened even wider as the earth spikes are already coming my way.

"Damn it!"

Without any other choice, I spread my wings and flew upwards.

"Ugh!"

But I was suddenly hit hard. When I looked towards my back, I saw the ginormous rock formations hanging on the cave's ceiling.

"These f*cking stalactites!"

I cursed loudly as they just dealt another damage to me.

Juat why is thia cave's ceiling so low?! Damn it! Why don't you just fall the ground just like your brother stalagmites!

"...!!! That's it!!!"

I exclaimed as a sudden idea hits me and immediately formulated a simple plan.

"Hey! You overgrown lizard! You want to eat me?! Then, come!"

I shoutes towards the iguana and landed on the ground, just below the biggest stalactite!

*ROAR!!!*

As brainless as it is, it riared and charged madly at me. When it was just a few meters away from me and was already opening its mouth wide, I immediately flapped my wings and shot to the air.

[Crimson Dragon's Roar!]

I used the skill and it immediately took effect, thankfully just how I have expected. Because no matter how strong it is, it's still just a lower species of a wingless dragon! And I'm a full dragon! Pure bloods are still superior!

Without wasting another second, I began gathering my mana as much and as fast as I can.

"I hope this works..."

[Explosion Breath!]

I exclaimed loudly and shot the chaotic ballnof flame towards the stalactite!

*BOOM!!!*

YES! It worked!

I celebrated as I saw rhe giant stalactite falling.

*ROAR!!!*

*BOOM!!!*

The roar of un willingness and booming sound of impact resound through out the cave, blowing up the dust all over and even swept me away!

"*Cough* *Cough*"

I coughed as some dust enteredy mouth.

But that's not what's important right now.

I looked towards the where the giant stalactite fell as the dust gradually clears up, and I sighed huge sigh of relief!

*Sigh!*

Rubbles scattered across the cave floor and a blood red color painted it. The overgrown iguana was crushed into meat paste under the sheer weight of the stalactite.

Looking at it, I let out a sneer.

"Heh. I wasn't able to damage you with my own attacks, but with the force of nature itself, even though it is dragon-made, you will not escape."

I said as I rested my exhausted body, and I also have a large wound on my shoulder, though it is already recovering, it's still a little painful.

'Wait... Isn't this recovery a little bit too fast?!'

I inwardly exclaimed as I looked down at my wound which is visibly closing at fast speed.

"Wha-Whats..."

Befire I could evem finish, I was interrupted.

I said out loud.

But then again... It's not wrong to have so much of these broken life saving abilities! Now not only do I have a broken "refreshment", I also gained a broken healing ability!
